Policemen in Lagos state have finally nabbed the killer of Hector Jobateh, a former winner of Gulder Ultimate Search.
After weeks of intensive manhunt, the Lagos state police command has arrested one Ismaila Adeyemi, 49, the suspected mastermind and killer of Hector Jobateh (the 2007 winner of Gulder Ultimate search) who was traced and shot dead at his residence at New Oko-Oba in Agege, Lagos State.
The suspect who was arrested at gas line Ominiyi in Ijoko area of Ogun state, confessed to the crime and other numerous crimes, while other members of his gang have been arrested. The suspects will be charged to court after investigation is concluded.

Ado-Ekiti – An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate Court on Tuesday ordered the remand of a 55-year-old man, Adeyanju Basiri in prison custody for allegedly sleeping with his daughter.
The Police Prosecutor, Sgt Monica Ikebulo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Sept. 11 at Irona Street, Ado-Ekiti.
She said the accused and one herbalist now at large were arrested for attempting to use the 7-year-girl daughter of the defendant for money rituals.
She said that the accused claimed he had slept with his daughter, name withheld, nine times.
The prosecutor said the accused told the police he always use a white handkerchief given to him by the herbalist to clean his daughter’s private part after having intercourse with her.
She said the offence contravened Section 31(2) of the Child’s Right Law.
Ikebulo told the court that he had duplicated and sent the case file to the Departament of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
The plea of the accused was not taken as his counsel; Mr Simeon Ojo sought for adjournment date pending the issuance of the legal advice.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs Dolapo Akosile ordered that the accused be remanded in the prison custody till the outcome of the legal advice from the DPP and adjourned the case till Oct.12 for further hearing. (NAN)

The University of Port Harcourt hereby invites candidates who chose the University as First and/or Second choice in the 2017 Unified Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 180, to apply for Screening Exercise for admission into the University.



The University shall not admit candidates into Geology in the 2017/2018 session. Candidates who chose Geology as their programme of study are hereby informed that they could be admitted into other/related areas of study, subject to acceptable performance. Eligible First Choice candidates to input UTME Registration Number and confirm pre-loaded UTME details. Second Choice candidates to complete Online Application Form.
Print slip for payment
Proceed to any of the following Banks (with e-Transact platform) and make payment of N2,000.00 (Excluding Bank and Access Charges, Processing Fee and Result checking) FIDELITY BANK PLC, UBA PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, ACCESS BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FCMB AND UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK.
Obtain an e-Transact receipt showing an access code from the Bank Teller confirming the payment.
Proceed back online and Login with your UTME Registration Number and the Access Code on the payment slip, from Wednesday, 6thSeptember, 2017.
Complete the Form online as requested.
Upload your passport photograph with red background not more than 1 x 1 inch.
Click on the “submit button” and print Photo Card for the Screening Exercise clearance
Note the date and time of Screening on the Photo Card.


CANDIDATES WHO FAIL TO REGISTER WITHIN THE REGISTRATION PERIOD WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SCREENING EXERCISE.


MATERIALS NEEDED FOR POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE



Candidates are required to come with the following:

A clear copy of the photo Card printed online and pen.
A photocopy of O’Level Examination Certificate(s) (WASCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB) and Birth Certificate or Affidavit of Age Declaration.


NOTE:

Inconsistency in name or picture on Photo Card will not be acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification of affected candidates. Candidates’ names on their O’Level Certificates, UTME results and other registration documents must be the same.
Candidates must be sixteen (16) years of age and above by October, 2017 to be eligible for the exercise.
Mobile Phones, Ipad, Ipod, Walkman and similar gadgets or any extraneous materials will not be allowed into the Screening Venue and its environs.
Candidates must apply within the Registration period as the online link for the Application Form will be disabled at MID-NIGHT ON MONDAY, 11THSEPTEMBER, 2017.
Candidates must report to the designated Screening Venues at the time scheduled on the Photo Card or risk disqualification.
PARENTS AND GUARDIANS, AS WELL AS UNINVITED SECURITY AGENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE CAMPUS ON THE DAYS OF THE SCREENING EXERCISE.

A student of Uniport faculty of Science by name Ifeanyi Dike, residing at Eliozu town in Obio/Akpor LGA , from mbaitolu in IMO state, killed a little miss victory Chikamso.
It was reported that the said Ifeanyi called the little girl into his room and hit her with a stone.
This was around 3pm yesterday.
He was caught in the night while he was going to dispose the body of the girl..
The said boy and the body of the girl is now at Okporo police station
According to multiply reports it states that he did that on ritual purpose
