Hello All, I just came across this thread and I need some advice.
I have been trying to get a date for US interview and finally got August 24, 2023 after months of searching. I would be 37 weeks gone by then. The Agent I am using has assured me that all things being equal if I get the visa, my passport should be out within 8 working days which means I have to travel immediately I pick up my passport.
My questions now is
Is it feasible to travel at 38 weeks plus!
Are there airlines who can carry a preggie who is that far gone? Fortunately for me, I don’t have a big bump.
What are the chances I wouldn’t be sent back at POE.
I’d also need recommendations of good hospitals in Houston Texas. |

digitite: I came across a University in the USA that won't cost you more than $1000 to get admission and proceed to the embassy for visa with good statement of account. If they reject you with TANGIBLE reasons, they will refund you your money. But you have better chance of succeeding. Just quote me if you need the link. Pls can you send me the link |

phabulous88: So my wife’s LLB ECA report with CES came out today. Whew! Outcome: First professional degree in Law from a recognized university.
Timeline Electronic transcript received by CES on 23rd December 2020 ECA report: 28th May 2021. Duration: 5 months
Both CES and IQAS evaluates LLB as a professional degree For CES, it's easy to create an application and make payment online. Timeline to receive your ECA report is 15 – 20 weeks (when you send your transcript electronically)
For IQAS, it's a hassle creating an application and making payment (I spent over 2 months before I could create an account and make payment). If you scale this though, the timeline to receive your ECA report is about 8 weeks. Congratulations |

korodejvo: yeah I saw that post and was curious cos I've been having issues with IQAS too so I did small research. Here's what I found
"CES would evaluate your LLB as a four year degree and not professional degree required to practice in a licensed profession. I evaluated with them and they said its a degree since Nigeria still requires you to finish from Law School before becoming a lawyer. It was a sad story!!
I initially went for them because i met a guy from brazil who they evaluated his degree as professional, but they said the system is Nigeria is different, after i wasted money.
My advice is to just chill for IQAS, because it was due to their break at the beginning of the year that made me try CES out.
All the money you have would be needed for this japa process, so you don’t want to be wasting hard earned funds (not to think of the crazy exchange rate)" Wow. So sorry about this. My LLB from a Nigerian University was evaluated as A Professional Degree. Did you send your BL alongside? |

I evaluated my certificate with CES because IQAS was on break. I was refunded the money I paid for my BL.
Only my LLB was evaluated as shown below. |

Hello Everyone,
I need some clarification. Please if you are a lawyer and currently in the pool I need your help.
I am really confused as to what NOC to use. I am a lawyer. Previously worked in law firms but I currently work in a school as a School Administrator even though I have no academic qualifications in Education. I’d be getting my reference letter and all other documents needed for this Canada waka from the school. My duties at the school includes:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate, through school principals, the academic affairs of a school district
Evaluate curriculum, teaching methods and community participation in programs for a school district and revise programs as required
Develop and administer programs for the education and training of students and adults
Make recommendations concerning the annual operating budget of a school district
Direct or supervise the recruitment, appointment, training, evaluation and promotion of teaching personnel.
I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS
1. WHICH IS THE BEST AND APPROPRIATE NOC CODE TO USE?
0422 - School principals and administrators of elementary and secondary education (Skill type 0)
4112 - Lawyers and Quebec notaries (Skill type A)
2. DO I NEED REFERENCE LETTERS FROM THE LAW FIRMS I HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED FOR even though I have been at the school for the past 4 years. Can I use reference letter from only the school?
Thank you. |

Good morning everyone.
I need clarifications. My spouse and I have our IELTS results and my ECA. However my Spouse’s ECA is not ready yet.
Can I create a profile in the pool and add his ECA when it’s ready or should I just hold on till it’s ready before I create our profile. |

Mmamaroon: Wow! Congratulations!! Just last week you were saying how they were taking so long.....very happy for you. You're a trailblazer....being the first person I know to try CES for an LLB....well done! Go CES!!!! I know right. It was such a risk as I combed the entire internet looking for at least one lawyer who had used CES all to no avail. Thankful it came back positive |

elohim24: This is a relieve... what's the timeline please? Application submitted January 8th 2020, transcript received February 24th 2020. ECA received November 13, 2020. COVID also was also a factor of delay as CES offices has been shut since March 18, 2020 |

Dear Lawyers,
CES evaluated my LLB as a PROFESSIONAL DEGREE.
So I started my evaluation January 2020 because IQAS was on a break and I don’t have a masters. I called CES to ask how they evaluate LLB and I wasn’t given any conclusive answer and was asked to make my application. I decided to go with CES since WES and LLB are enemies.
I paid 420CAD to evaluate both LLB and BL degree so I as to get points for 2 or more degrees. My application was submitted January 8th, transcript received February 24th and then COVID happened. I totally forgot about the application and started the process all over with IQAS. Finally scaled through transcript phase but “fortunately” I haven’t been able to pay for IQAS due to the daily limit and dollar limit issue.( which is now a blessing )
November 10th, CES sent me a mail saying they can’t assess my BL as it was outside their scope of evaluation and my 210CAD would be refunded within 2 weeks. It is was refunded 3days later.
I got the email with a soft copy of my evaluation and First professional degree in Law was staring right at me. So it was worth the wait. If you are patient enough and IQAS is wasting your time, you can go ahead evaluate your LLB degree with CES. |

Betterlife2018: I really need a candid advice at this point. A friend is currently using CES for the evaluation of his master degree. He passed his IELTS yesterday with CRS at 478. CES has been very slow due to covid. He is currently on stage 2 of the evaluation and this will go through 6 stages in total. His transcript ( OAU) was acknowledged received Aug 27th 2020. He is thinking of switching to WES because of CES slow processing time and also uncertainty with CRS cut off these days. He is so confused on what to do. Please has anyone use CES recently- please share experience Do you advise he start all over with WES, has any one processed OAU transcript recently, any candid ideas or suggestion is welcomed.
Thanks my people. Hiya. Since it’s a masters degree that is to be evaluated, your friend can try WES. I am currently evaluating my LLB with CES. Submitted my application January 8th 2020, my transcript was received February 24th 2020 and up until now, my ECA is not ready. The only reason I considered them was cos IQAS was on break. If you have the money to request for another transcript, pls go in with CES that way you can use whichever comes out faster. |

Good afternoon everyone,
I have been finding it very difficult to pay for IQAS evaluation. I have been on it since October 20th. Once it’s 8:15am, the portal becomes very slow and till the time lapses. I have tried it with both MTN and Swift networks. Pls does anyone have an idea of how I can go about this thing as it’s really frustrating me.
I’d need suggestions pls as this is my only hope to get professional points for my LLB degree.
CES replied my application that they can’t evaluate my Law school degree. While I’m praying that the LLB comes back from CES as professional, I need to do IQAS as plan B.
I’d be looking forward to suggestions on how I can go about the iqas payment. |

Hiya, so the thing is I paid for 2degrees with CES. Both LLB and BL so I can have two or more degrees since IQAS is in hold. My LLB transcript has been sent received by CES but the law school transcript is yet to be sent due to the lockdown. Evaluating your BL means you’d have points for two or more degree. Quite expensive tho. About 520 CAD for both. If you can wait for IQAS, May 11 is almost here. You’d get professional points with them. I have a contact in Lagos campus exams and record. He’s the one who helped with my transcript. Awaiting DG’s signature. nymphomaniac: LLB/BL. I went through your posts and discovered you are my learned friend. I remain loyal sir. Pls should I get my BL evaluated as well by CES since ICQAS are off the grid for now? How did you go about getting the transcript? I am in Lagos as well and the time to get to Abuja no Dey.
Who has gotten transcript from UNIBEN recently? Any contact that is reliable I can use? Make Una help a brother. |

Hiya, I am also using CES. Created my account Nov 23 2019, made payments January 8, 2020. My degree transcript was received Feb 24, 2020. However I paid to evaluate my law school certificate and up till now my transcript hasn’t been sent. Is it possible to cancel evaluation of the 2nd degree which transcript has not been sent? omidan21: For those using CES And always come here to ask for questions and to confirm if anyone has used let me drop this Update
I helped my sister in the UK process her transcript for evaluation using CES
Opened a CES account and made payment 23rd November 2019
I had made payment for the school Transcript a week before this though . LASU I cldnt afford the 28k LASU verification payment for WES it’s outrageous and ridiculous hence jejerly has to use CES
CES sent an email 9th January 2020, confirming to me that they received the transcript from LASU 29th November . The email they sent had this message (. The estimated processing time is based upon this acceptance date. This excludes the University Year-End closure from Saturday, December 21, 2019 to Sunday, January 5, 2020. ) which means they start working on the transcript from when the transcript is delivered there and not from when you created account
Yeap let me give LASU thumbs up in this regard they are always fast in processing transcript . My transcript reached ICES when I did mine two years ago exactly one to two weeks my hubby reached IQAS also under same time frame same 2018 and this standard is still being maintained
So we didn’t get any update from CES again until yesterday April 14th that it’s being completed and soft copy of the outcome was sent to email while the hard copy wld be sent to the Canada address We filled when this whole COVID is over cause they said dispatches are not operating . The outcome came out Positive BSC was evaluated 4 year University Degree BSC Canada equivalents So in Summary Processing time was 17 weeks Two days , probably it wld ve been lesser If COVID didn’t delay operations and if we didn’t send around University Year End Closure Saturday, December 21, 2019 to Sunday, January 5, 2020. )cause these period they dont work |
