Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe's ex-husband, Lanre Gentry who has been making headlines lately, has replied Actor Legemiani who alleged that the actress' estranged husband was threatening his life, after accusing him of sleeping with his wife.

Newborn twins and their sister have become orphans at an early age, after their 24-year-old mum, Stephanie Caceres, died on the funeral day of their 26 year old  Dad, Jevaughn Suckoo, who was shot and killed on July 11th at the Renaissance Apartments in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Stephanie Caceres who welcomed her baby three days after the death of her boyfriend wrote on Facebook;

“I just don’t understand how someone can have the heart to leave three kids without a father especially two that never got the chance to even meet him,” she posted. “They didn’t deserve this! I’m trying I really am to stay strong but this has to be the toughest battle I’ve ever had to fight.”

However, Stephanie suffered complications from an infection that resulted from her C-section two days later, and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. She passed on the 10th day, same day as Suckoo’s funeral.

Suddenly the newborn twins and their 21-month old sister, Kailanie are without parents. "Just complete shock, completely devastated," said Joni Saunders, aunt of 26-year old , the man who was killed.

Saunders was joined on Thursday, by Irma Meza, mother of 24-year old Stephanie Caceres, the woman who died.
Saunders and Meza spoke at the doctor's office in Lake Clarke Shores, where Caceres worked.

The women said they were dealing with the sudden deaths of their loved ones, and the challenge now of caring for the couple's three small children. "I think right now we're just very focused on the children, making sure that they're okay," said Saunders.

Saunders said the toddler adored her father. "He walks into the room, and nobody else existed for her," said Saunders. "Same thing with Stephanie. She was such a dedicated mom." Meza explained she's diabetic, and said Stephanie always told her she would take care of her.

Meza said she never she imagined Stephanie not being around, and Meza would be the one providing care for the children.  At the doctor's office, diapers, formula and other items collected for the children, took up a large portion of a medical supply room.

A GoFundMe account was created for the children and over $98k have been raised for them. Plus, several people donated lots of baby food, diapers, clothers etc for the children and their upkeep. Saunders and Meza said they are overwhelmed by the outpouring from the community.

Delivering a paper titled ‘Mainstreaming Igbo in Nigeria’, former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu who was guest speaker of the inauguration of Igbo Support group for Governor Yahaya Bello in Lokoja, slammed the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose over uncomplimentary utterances against the personality of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Orji Uzor Kalu, who slammed Fayose for reportedly saying he was deceiving the Igbos, by dumping the Peoples Democratic Party PDP for the All Progressive Congress (APC), told Fayose to steer off criticizing the President Buhari over his health, and focus on making his state a better place.

Kalu further noted that he's still friends with Fayose, but that the Ekiti governor goofed to say that he was deceiving Igbos for defecting to APC.

“Fayose should endeavour to show the people of Ekiti the essence of good governance rather than engaging himself on unnecessary criticism of Mr. President and others perceived as arch enemies”, he added.

The Abia born politician noted that he once engaged ex President Olusegun Obasanjo while in office as governor, adding that he criticized him on the issues of third term agenda and road construction in the East. “I have never attacked the personality of the former President Obasanjo like Fayose always drags the name of President Buhari to mud, particularly his health related issues”, he stated.

Beautiful Ghanaian actress, Shirley Emma Fatima Tibilla , has taken to Instagram to share a testimony of how she was saved from an ailment that made her become a 'vegetable'. 

According to her, the ailment left her bedridden for a month, as she couldn't even eat, couldn't talk, couldn't even bath herself either.

Dear July 2016. Yes July, That was last year. The month in which God spared me from an ailment that should have killed me and gave me a second chance to live. The devil almost succeeded in taking me out but "Mercy" said NO!!! The picture on the left doesn't even do enough justice to how I looked. I was bed ridden for a month. Couldn't eat, couldn't talk, couldn't even bath myself. I became a vegetable and I was uselessly helpless. My only option was to feed off Prayer and wait for God to do His thing. Controversial ex-militant warlord, Mujaheed Asari Dokubo, in a video that has long gone viral on Facebook, have weighed on the recent claim by the Nigerian Government that it recovered  $90 billion from former minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

According to Asari Dokubo, if the Nigerian Government truly recovered such amount, then they won't be need to borrow from foreign institutions to finance infrastructural development across the country. He also slammed Nigerian music stars, Davido and Donjazzy for condemning the former minister without first seeking the truth.

South Africa's celebrity OAP and rapper AKA's girlfriend Bonang Matheba, in a recent interview she granted called on the Nigerian entertainment industry to quickly tie the loose ends on their regard for female creatives.

Bonang insisted that her country celebrates female entertainers more than Nigeria, which to her mind, has bigger clout and should therefore set good examples.

Recounting all they shared together while he was still alive, Olubunmi Abosede, wife of late Nigerian poet and actor, Adebayo Faleti, revealed that she shared a rare mutual connection with her husband.

According to The Nation, though they started off from different sides of the divide in terms of exposure, education and age, in 1981, however they embarked on a romantic and marital sojourn that blossomed to the delight of the couple, their close friends and family.

One thing, Olori (as late Faleti usually called Abosede) would never forget in a hurry was their closeness. Describing it as borderless, the widow recalled painfully that they were so close to the extent that they shared the same pant. This is aside their usual practice of sharing the same clothes around the house, particularly overnight, and before getting dressed for the day’s activities.

“We were so close to the extent that I wore his pants and underwear. Up until his death, if you come to our house very early in the morning, maybe around 6am, I wear his clothes all around the house before getting dressed or set for the day’s activities. Baba was always willing to give me his Buba to wear. We were so close,” she said tearfully.

“We were very close during his lifetime. From the time my parents sent me out after I took in (got pregnant) for him, he accepted me and my child and promised me that no hurt will come to me. He fulfilled his promises.

“Since we got married, I don’t eat alone, I will only eat when he gets back from work. He does the same thing by not eating out until he gets home because he knew I wouldn’t eat until he gets back from work.”

Being his ‘only wife’

When asked the numbers of wives her beloved had in his lifetime, Abosede would not put a figure to it but she would not also deny the obvious; she insisted that she was the only one residing in Faleti’s house and she stayed married to him until his last breath.

Abosede took solace in her late husband’s manner of responding to the question anytime he was asked, especially by journalists.

“If you had visited Baba in his lifetime or even read many newspaper interviews of Baba on the question of the number of his wives, his response had always been that he has only one wife. Most times, Baba would even ask you, how many wives you ever saw in his house or under his roof. And he would be the one to answer that it is only one wife he had.

“So, I do not know the number of wives Baba had but he had already said it with his own mouth, how many wives he had. All I know is that, I have been the only one living with him and under his roof since the first day we got married and till he died,” she said.

Abosede said she did not only love her late husband, she also knew him so well because they were best of friends. She recalled that her social affiliations did not favour her to win the love of a renowned and established person like Faleti but that the way her late husband accepted and took care of her when she was rejected by her parents for getting impregnated by him endeared her to him. His penchant for fulfilling all his promises to her was also a very good reason she remained extremely loyal and devoted to him.

Despite her loss, a glimmer of smile surfaced on her face when asked about her late husband’s favourite meal. “He liked amala and gbegiri soup. He could eat it in the morning, afternoon and night. He liked bean cake, fried with palm oil and he also liked meat, fried meat particularly. That is always his favourite anytime he was in his study doing any writing task,” she said.

How they met

The story of how the duo met and got married was an unpalatable aspect of their journey. It was an unexpected and unimaginable thing for, Abosede, a Form Five student of Christ High School, Oleyo, Challenge-Orita, Ibadan to be wooed by an elderly and established man like late Faleti.

Thus Abosede’s initial rejection of her paramour wasn’t so astonishing, Her parents kicked against their love and marriage. Despite their rejection, Abosede and Faleti eventually sealed their union at Mapo (being Oyo state capital at the time) where they eventually got married.

According to her, she had three ‘good’ grounds to turn down the proposal of late Faleti. First was her intention to further her education beyond secondary level, which incidentally was also the dream of her parents. Second, her strict Christian parents would not even allow anyone at the time to distract her from her studies. And third, her parents, who are committed members and leaders at Christ Apostolic Church would never allow their daughter get married as a second wife.

Narrating how they met, Abosede recalled that her first encounter with the man who later ended up as her husband and father of all her children, was at the annual inter-house sports competition of her school, where Alagba Faleti was invited as a guest.

She reasoned that, it was probably her plump but sportive physique that caught her late husband’s attention but she later earned Faleti’s audience after the event. He seized the opportunity to commend her sporting abilities. She later got another invitation from him to visit to his workplace.

Another factor that brought them close was the establishment of the O-Y-O Fans Club, where students from various secondary school across the region were invited for on-air performances in songs, dances and drama at Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (because).

Her school was the first to be invited and subsequent visits provided her more opportunities to see Faleti. Her participation in the broadcasting activities offered her innumerable chances to meet with Faleti. Those were the only opportunities she had to meet him as she was hardly allowed to go out. Her parents watched her with an eagle eye.

A series of unpalatable episodes

Abosede revealed that she would never forget certain individuals for the roles they played in her marital journey with her deceased husband. They are Prince Bayo Sanda, Prince Adenle and Prof Olatunde Olatunji; Sanda and Olatunji later visited her to convey love messages from Faleti. They reportedly conveyed his genuine intentions for her.

Although she said she refused to give them a positive response, she agreed to rejoin her school troupe anytime they were invited for performance by O-Y-O Fans Club Choir and that afforded Faleti opportunity to see and woo her.

According to her, months later, Faleti challenged her to inform her parents of his intentions. Even though she already knew what to expect, she did his bidding. She was so sure her mother wouldn’t even listen to such a subject at the time because she was very strict unlike her father who had a softer disposition.

“I knew I could talk freely with my father than my mother because she was stricter and harsher than my father. My father was soft-minded but not my mother. Then, one day I told my father if he knew one man named Adebayo Faleti, and that he had proposed to marry me. My father said he wanted me to go to school and get better education,” she said.

After her secondary education, Abosede appealed to Faleti, who she was already developing a soft spot for, to let her be in order to face her education, according to her parents’ wish. She remembered how Faleti pulled her aside and assured her that he would stand by her and encourage her to attain any level of education she desired.

She said that his words were always reassuring; she was encouraged by the fact that he had no wife at home or anywhere. Faleti convinced Abosede that there was no woman lurking in a corner to give her problems if she married him.

He assured her that he would do everything necessary to protect her from any antagonism if she agreed. To show his determination, she said, Faleti engaged the services of a private tutor for her, which helped her pass her exams in flying colours before encouraging her to enroll at Teachers Training College, Iyana Offa.

She suspected that Faleti was either advised, warned or unsure of what might happen if he allowed her depart from his sight especially the likelihood that she might be snatched by another man.

One thing led to another and she was impregnated by Faleti.. That was to begin another unpalatable episode in her life.

“When I took in for him, I never knew how I was going to tell my parents at home but my mother observed me well and then challenged me asking if I was pregnant. Reluctantly, I said ‘Yes.’

“My parents chased me out at midnight, around 1 am. They chased me out of the house naked. My father ran after me but I ran as fast as I could. I took refuge in the house of one of my father’s church members, Mrs. Joke Ishola. I had taken a rag from somewhere along the road to cover my unclothedness. When I got to her house around 2am, she was shocked to see me but she accommodated and clothed me,” she said.

EFCC's Twitter handle yesterday revealed its handler who gave us savage replies to laugh at and also ponder on, as fast rising rapper, Olufemi Olukayode Adeyemi a.k.a Fshaw.

Now every one has been asking why the Fshaw was unmasked yesterday. However Fshaw has debunked report of being with the EFCC for the past year as a corp member.

According to him, he served 10 years ago, and decided to move on from the job to pursue a career in music. In just a few hours after his identity was unvelied, his twitter followers increased from barely 2,000 to over 17,000.

Fraudsters are already setting up a fake account with his name, and he has tweeted a disclaimer.

A Nigerian man, Dan Ladi, whose search for greener pastures made him sell his mum's car to travel abroad, has bought his mum a brand new car after his hustle paid off. 

According to him, he may not be rich enough to buy his mum a Lambo , a ferrari or a house on beverly hills, but he just wants her to know that his little gift came from his heart. Here's his story;

Banky W who held his introduction ceremony to Adesua Etomi few months back, and now in United States with his bride for a family reunion, decided to host a special photoshoot for his brother, Funmi, who missed his marriage introduction ceremony to Adesua Etomi.

A female kidnapper met her waterloo in Ajao Estate area of Lagos, after hypnotizing a teenage girl who she asked where she can find a warehouse.

However the teenage girl was saved by her Uncle, who drove through the street she stood with the kidnapper. Upon interrogation the female kidnapper who claimed she speaks only french, confessed to hypnotizing the girl she planned to use for rituals. This angered residents of the area, who beat and stripped her naked. She was however saved and whisked away by Policemen.

Nigerian comedian Funnybone, who called Daddy Showkey a Mosquito during his 'Untamed show' held few weeks back while trying to make a joke out of Davido-Wizkid's beef, has taken to social media to apologize to the veteran singer who didn't get the joke.

So this Aunty visited her friend who stays in a male hostel in one of the Nigerian Universities, but when the guy saw her out after the visit, they got the unexpected.

A mother and her daughter have been found dead after an uncompleted building located at Seidu Ekeleji Street, Alaro, Meiran in the Agbado - Oke Odo area of Lagos, collapsed today.

It was gathered that the woman and her children were washing clothes in the building, when it collapsed on them this afternoon.  Lagos state Emergency Management Agency LASEMA and RRS officials have already rescued one person from the rubbles, and also working to rescue more occupants of the building who are trapped under.

While trying to remove explosives forcibly strapped to his body by Militant Islamists, a 10-year-old cattle herder lost his life in North-Eastern Nigeria.

According to the Police, the deceased’s younger brother also got injured in the incident, which happened over the weekend in the outskirts of Maiduguri. It was gathered that the two children came in contact with the Boko Haram militants while grazing their animals.

They were forced to wear a suicide vest, and warned him not to tell anyone about it and not remove it until he got home. They returned home and the sad incident occurred while the vest was being unstrapped.

Nigerian/Ghanaian actress, Christabel Ekeh’s mother, madam Emma Odoom has jumped to her daughter’s defence following her circulation of her nude photos on the internet.

Recall that few days ago, Christabel was criticized and advised to seek psychological help after releasing the nude photos of herself on Instagram that raised eyebrow.

In her daughter’s defense, her mother in a new interview with showbiz said Christabel is a very decent girl and sometimes the nature of her work as an actress and model makes her go naked for some promotional campaigns.

Christabel is working and she needs our love, support and prayers to succeed,” she said in an interview with Showbiz last Saturday. “My daughter is a very decent girl, she was brought up well and cannot do anything she knows will tarnish her image. She is not sick and does not need any psychological treatment or help as people are saying out there,“ she added.

“I can only say that, as a mother, I should support my children in anything they do, I need to love them and pray that whatever they touch would go well. That is where my fulfillment lies,” she noted. When asked if she personally thinks, it was appropriate for the Before Noon actress to take such pictures in the first place, Madam Odoom said, “like I said earlier, it is work related. She is a model too and sometimes due to the nature of their work and who they are in society, they need to take on some campaigns and loving your body is one of them” she said.

Since she said people do not really know her daughter, Madam Odoom was asked to describe Christabel Ekeh and this is what she said, “Christabel is the first of my three children. She is very cool, intelligent, loving and respectful.

She is kind and is very passionate about the things of God, which is how I brought her up.”

“Her siblings look up to her and she disciplines them when they go wrong. She uses the least chance she gets to spend time with them, advising them to take their education serious and grow to become society changers,” she added.

Christabel Ekeh has been criticized and lambasted since last week, for releasing more than 18 nude pictures of herself on an Instagram page that bears her name. While some of her fans believed her account was hacked, others took to social media to express their disappointment in the Potomanto actress for posting such photos.

The hacking assertion was later debunked by the actress herself, who says displaying the nude pictures of herself on social media was a way of introducing to the world the “new Christabel.” Christabel who has Nigerian father and a Ghanaian mother, came into the limelight at the age of 17 when she participated in the 2008 edition of Miss Malaika Ghana beauty pageant where she came second. She later followed it up with a modeling and acting career.

Kemi Olunloyo who went on a bitter rant about Seyi Law’s wife, is not still done as she’s still calling out Seyi Law’s daughter, Tiwaoluwa, who she called an obese kid.

Reacting to Kemi Olunloyo's latest social media rant where she even dragged his wife on one of her posts, ace comedian Seyi Law, in his lenghty Instagram post disclosed that everything evil doesn't deserve a response. 

According to Seyi in his post which many has linked to Kemi, disclosed that he's okay being called a fool, but 'whoever' drags his family into any callout post, will live to regret it. Here's what he wrote;

A 38-year-old man, Tunde Bankole, has been remanded in a Lagos Prison after he was arrested and dragged to court for reportedly raping his neighbour's wife. 

 The incident happened at True Crescent in Oko-Oba area of Agege, Lagos, after the suspect reportedly had a quarrel with the victim’s husband and he later decided to hit back at the husband by allegedly raping his 36-year-old wife.

Tunde reportedly stormed his neighbour's house when he wasn't at home with two kitchen knives threatening to kill his neighbour's wife if she refused to remove her clothes, lie on her matrimonial bed, open her legs and allow him rape her. After he had penetrated her to his satisfaction, he reportedly collected her wedding ring and left.

However Tunde was arrested after the victim told her husband what happened when he wasn't around. Tunde who never denied having sex with the victim at the Police Station, however argued that it all happened with her consent, but failed to explain what he was doing with the knives he reportedly used in threatening the victim.

The Presiding Magistrate at Ogba Magistrates court, Mr T.O. Shomade granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in the  like sums, while stating he will remain in prison pending when he will perfect his bail condition, as the matter was further adjourned till 17 August 2017.

Operatives of State Intelligence Bureau (SIB), Lagos State Police Command, have arrested the General Overseer of Sufficient Grace Church, Pastor Okechukwu Joseph, for reportedly defrauding members of his church of huge sums of money.

The Pastor who borrowed money from his members, pretending it was needed to repair his car among other projects, while promising to pay back as soon as possible as he was expecting money from undisclosed sources.



However when those he borrowed from approached him to get their money, he came up with excuses and among his victims are women who do daily contribution (ajo) business.



According to The Nation, he had been making empty promises of paying back for about eight years.





Explaining his involvement in the offence the suspect Joseph said: “I am married with two children. I am from Okwe Oboro, Umuahia, Abia State. I know the complainant Miss Bridget Nwankwo as a member of my church. I had no misunderstanding with her.



What really happened is that I collected N308,000 from her to do some reconstruction work in my church where we were before I relocated, due to circumstances beyond my control.



I paid her N100,000. I was not able to pay the remaining N208,000, because money was not coming to me as before. She later reported me to SIB. The church I am pastoring is a growing church.



If you look at my body physique you will think that I have money. I had problems and that was why I had no money to pay her. I had a very serious financial problem.”

Controversial Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, who was recently released after spending weeks in Prison has replied ace Comedian Seyi Law who said he was happy over her arrest. 

Kemi Olunloyo who had face-offs with the comedian after she said his baby was obese, wrote in reply to Seyi's revelation;

I heard someone called her Kungfu panda. All these fake fans hyping her baby fat are laughing behind you. I went back to prison for another 24hrs due to a technicality and was glad to go back to check up on our 4 newborns and 5 toddlers. The food is better than your mom's cooking. There is no prison food.

You cook your own food. Now I go weekly to prison to drop off supplies and money for inmates with babies and IPOB protesters forgotten by Nnamdi Kanu.
