Sodienye Mbatumukeke and Excel Naabe, who were part of the 3-man gang that killed a Jumia delivery agent in Rivers State on March 25, 2017, remanded in custody by a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The suspects were arraigned on three count charge on Monday, before Chief Magistrate Amadi Amadi-Nna, according to charge no. PMC/697C/2017.

The charge read, “That you, Sodienye Mbatumukeke, on March 25, 2017, on Ada-Ede Street, Shell Location Mgbuoba, Port Harcourt, in the Port Harcourt Magisterial District, did use a pestle to hit the head of one Eleje Chukwuma, and robbed him of one Infinix Note 3 handset valued at N67,000, one IM-10 desktop GSM phone dual SIM, valued at N9,500, and one Gionee M6 phone, valued at N105,000; all valued at N181,000.00, property of Jumia Online Shopping Company, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 1 (2) (a) of the Rob

bery and Firearms (Special Provision) Act Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
“That you, Sodienye Mbatumukeke and Excel Divine Naabe, on the same date and place, in the aforementioned magisterial district, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony, to wit: murder, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 324 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol. II Laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.

“That you, Sodienye Mbatumukeke and Excel Divine Naabe, on the same date and place in the aforesaid magisterial district, did murder one Eleje Chukwuma, by hitting him on the head with a pestle and subsequently suffocated him by covering his head with a polythene bag, before tying him with a wire, which caused his death, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 319(1) of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol. II Laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.”

Punch reports that the accused were arraigned by a prosceutor, Inspector Jonas Rufus, even as they (suspects) were without any defence counsel.

The third accused, Joy Eluwa, was not part of Monday’s arraignment in Port Harcourt.

However, when the case was mentioned in the court, the presiding magistrate, Amadi-Nna, stated that the court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter as a result of the gravity of the offence.

Explaining that he would send the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions for advice, Amadi-Nna adjourned the matter indefinitely, adding that the suspects could seek bail at the state High Court.

As a way of instilling discipline in female staff of the Federal agency, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Rivers, Andrew Kumapayi, allegedly used scissors on the hair of some of the female staff of the agency, while carrying out a general inspection on staff of the FRSC headquarters in Port Harcourt.

He also inspected uniforms and finger nails, as well as the hairdo of FRSC personnel. Kumapayi was on hand to ensure that the female officers whose hair styles ran foul of the requirements, got an on-the-spot haircut.

A Ugandan Man and a Facebook user, Alex Baale Gattusso, did what no one expected by sharing a photo of all the girls he has slept with. He also did put all the women he has slept with on blast.

The photo he shared, got him on the bad side of some Facebook users who ripped him apart. According to some of those who commented, sharing the photos makes him an idiot, and it's unthinkable to imagine that some people are supporting him.

Nollywood Actress, Cossy Orijakor, has threatened to release the name her statement of account, where the name of Popular Nigerian Pastor, David Ibiyeomie showed, should Kemi Olunloyo remain in Police Custody this Easter.

To avoid getting impeached, Mrs. Rita Maduagwu, who is the speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, fled with the Mace, which is symbol of authority of the house. This caused confusion in the hallowed chamber,as no fewer than 28 members of the House had assembled to begin the impeachment process of the Speaker. Amidst the confusion, the governor, Chief Willie Obiano, drove to the House of Assembly complex, apparently to intervene.

The governor addressed the 28 members of the House who were members of the APGA, pleading with them to persuade others not to carry out the impeachment. The Speaker, noticing that her members were adamant in carrying out their mission, absconded with the mace, unnoticed.

Punch reports that when the bell signifying her coming into the chambers rang several times, the Speaker was nowhere to be found. This caused the Majority Leader, Victor Okoye, to call for the adjournment of the sitting till Tuesday, April 11.

Speaking with journalists, the member representing Ekwusigo constituency, Mr. Onyebuchi Offor, expressed dissatisfaction with the Speaker’s attitude.

He said “We came this morning to hold our normal session, only to be disappointed that the Speaker had absconded with the mace.

We have had poor leadership under Rita Maduagwu. But I’m assuring you that justice must prevail. No matter where she runs to, we have determined to take a decision on the leadership of this House. There is no going back, because we are here to serve Anambra people well.”

The lady who has been using her "pregnancy" to defraud Lagosians, has been nabbed. One of her victims who fell for her story, Fancy Chikeluba wrote;

"THIS CRAZY INCIDENT HAPPENED MARCH 23-3-2017 AT FCMB BANK LEKKI JAKANDE .
When i read linda ikeji blog this evening about this pregnant woman that fake labor to collect money from people.
I felt very bad because i was a victim .

On 23rd of March 2017 this pregnant lady walked into the banking hall ,i noticed her wit her
hand on her waist.she was in front of me all of a sudden water started flowing down n she was crying.
I stood up to help and pple came arnd and i asked her why she was at the bank knowing her state,she told me her husband n sister inlaw abandond her at the hospital and that the hospital referd her to LUTH because of her case that requires operation.

Now the question i asked her was 'why was she at the bank ',she said she came to withdraw from the ATM and the ATM refusd to pay her due to BVM issue and her Bank was ECO BANK and she came to FCMB .

I ask my branch manager to assist with the car and pple were helping this pregnant woman .
I gave this woman money and some other pple contributed and my branch manager got a taxi for her to take her to LUTH

WE were in the bank suddenly I notice a pregnant woman whose water bag has just busted, I ask her why she was here that she suppose to be at the hospital by now, she said she came to withdraw some money for the hospital bills but the bank ask her to bring her BVN now BVN cannot be done in couple of minute anymore.

I ask people to support and help this pregy woman lo and behold Nigeria with our generosity We started contributing money for her We were able to gather over 20k she left quickly because people around are not comfortable with her condition in the bank, the security man held her hand and arrange a taxi for her then she left.

What happened next:
I was ask to come down Stair and reparked by the security man, if you have been in Diamond bank awolowo road you will know that all the down floors are car park.
Back to the banking Hall I notice the way people were talking has became noisy, some are even looking at me like I did something wrong.


What happened :
A man was coming to the bank and saw the security man holding the pregnant woman while coming out, he took his time to look at this woman until the woman left with cab. When he came to the banking Hall he oppenly ask, please did that pregnant woman seek for money, at the end the man said she just came out from GTBANK and they gather about 50k for her.
Please what should We call this, am not even sure if she's really pregnant must Nigeria go this extreme na waoo"


With the testimonies from her victims, the lady has been identified as Nkem Nwachukwu. Okey Nwangwu disclosed that lady likes operating in the Lekki/Ajah area of Lagos, extorting money from sympathetic and unsuspecting Lagosians. She has however been arrested.

"This same woman by name Nkem Nwachukwu goes about into various banks in Lekki/Ajah axis of Lagos extorting monies from sympathetic Lagosians by seeking sympathy as her water is broken and entering labour etc.

She will attract sympathizers who she will mention LUTH as her hospital, but after collecting N20,000 or so as the hospital initial bill, the office will arrange a taxi for her and she will order the taxi driver to another direction and alight and will not get to her LUTH.

This seems a new strategy of obtaining by tricks with pregnancy."

Billionaire Femi Otedola's third child, Temi Otedola, has shared a moving story about her only brother, Fewa, who is autistic. According to Temi who wrote the article on her blog JTO Fashion, she and her siblings found out about their brother’s condition in 2004.

Autism Awareness day was launched 9 years ago to raise awareness and conversation about the people living with autism around the globe. with this in mind, I have
decided to share my own personal experience with autism.


Before getting to my own personal journey of loving and knowing someone on the autistic spectrum, I think it’s important to first describe what it is to those of you reading who are less familiar. Essentially, autism is a social development disorder which affects the cognitive, communicative and interactive ability of the brain.


People with autism struggle with heightened sensory stimulation and need a lot of attention and support from their parents, teachers and siblings to ensure they can lead the most productive and happy life possible. Raising awareness is not the main goal at this point–understanding is, and even more important–acceptance. So this Autism Awareness Day I ask for all of you, to appreciate, love on, or simply accept those living with autism.


How has autism personally affected my life?
In 2004, my mum called my sisters and me into her bedroom. With the composure only a mother can have, she told us that our baby brother, Fewa, had ‘special needs’. While my sisters asked questions, all I could do was think about what this would mean for me, the already overindulged, youngest of three girls.



Thankfully, my selfishness quickly wore off and Fewa quickly became the centre of our family. The role of an older sister always entails some sort of responsibility. However, the role of an older sister to an autistic sibling is a great deal more work. At first, it seemed like every day with him was a challenge, especially for my mother. I remember seeing my mum helping Fewa with simple tasks like brushing his teeth, helping him to get dressed, or feeding him lunch, with each day ultimately ending in exhaustion. Our family has been so blessed to have help from carers, but no one can deny the resilience my mother has had raising Fewa. It is the thing I most respect about her.



Every day, I see him becoming more independent. Our relationship is becoming less one-sided; I can truly say that we are friends. Fewa doesn’t need anyone’s sympathy. He is the most genuine and caring person I know. This is probably why I have never seen Fewa’s autism as necessarily and totally negative, it is a unique characteristic that adds to the complexity of the person that he is.
I am not naïve or unrealistic. I certainly have some gnawing worries about the future.


Fewa will always need support of some kind. At age sixteen he still requires 24 hour help. I would say that the biggest misconception about autism is that people who have it are socially inept geniuses – Rainman, anyone? Yes, that is true for some autistic people, but there is a reason the official term is “autism spectrum disorder”. It is a spectrum, and it can range from children who are not able to speak at all to children who can go to normal schools.



No matter what I do, I need to build my life with Fewa in mind. My parents won’t be around forever, and his care and well-being will become the responsibility of me and my sisters. It is true that consideration for Fewa will always affect the decisions I make in my life. Despite this, Fewa is by no means a burden. These worries do not reduce the immense love I have for my brother who has brought so much joy and shown me the purest form of love. To quote The Bard, “Love sought is good, but given unsought is better.” It is Fewa’s unconditional love that has shaped me into the woman I am today – a sister, a teacher, a carer and a best friend.

Billionaire oil businessman and a Nigerian football club owner, Ifeanyi Ubah, has been arrested by officers of the Department of State Services (DSS).

A lady who drives for Uber, @Msixelaa, reportedly got into a conversation with her passenger. Midway through their journey, her passenger revealed she was going to see her boyfriend she hasn't seen for like forever, which she (Uber driver) could relate to because her man just left.

However, the lady got the shocker of her life, when they pulled up at her man's house, and it turned out that her passenger's dick appointment was her man. She also alleged that before she left the house in the morning, her man told her he was going to see his mum in hospital.

Robbers who stormed churches located along Ondo Road and the Fanibi area of Akure, Ondo State, on Saturday, reportedly robbed worshippers, carting away properties worth millions from the churches they attacked from 2a.m to 4a.m uninterrupted. It is also alleged, that they shared their loot in one of the affected churches.

According to victims and eyewitnesses, the incident happened during the end-of-the-month prayer and vigil services of the churches. It was also alleged that while the robbery was ongoing, some church members managed to call the control room of the Ondo State Police Command, but there was no response from the command.

An eyewitness who claimed that about 5 churches were robbed before the hoodlums got to their church, alleged that the robbers were armed with guns, machetes, iron rods and sticks, adding that they
beat some ‘uncooperative’ victims.

Some of the injured victims, according to her, are still receiving treatment in private hospitals in the town.

“After finishing our vigil at about 3am on Saturday, all of us were going home when some armed men met us on the road. They told us they were members of a vigilance group in the area and they asked us to go back to the church.

“They followed us to the church. On entering the church with us, they locked the door from inside. One of them brought out a pistol and asked us to lie down and face the ground. They collected everything on us, including our phones and money.

“As we lay face down, we heard them sharing the money they had stolen from other churches they had earlier robbed. From their conversation, we discovered that they must have attacked no fewer than four churches before ours.”

It was gathered that as soon as the robbers were alerted that the police were on their way, they removed their victims' simcards and dropped them on the chairs, before fleeing through the windows.

Punch reports that the Special Anti-Robbery Squad arrived the area about 15 minutes after the bandits left. Though no arrest has been made, however, a gun and a mobile telephone dropped by the robbers at the scene of the incident, was recovered.

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the state's police command, Mr. Femi disclosed that the command had commenced investigation.
