It was an evening of entertainment and fun  as the Peace Achievers Awards cum Miss Ambassador for Peace Nigeria 2018 under the canopy of Peace Ambassador Agency held its annual awards and pageant show at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on 22 September,2018.

"I feel awesome and overwhelmed. It was a journey and a fight because all the girls were good,beautiful and smart, but I know grace worked for me and prayers too. The support from my family was outstanding and that gave me courage. I believe that the challenge ahead will be overcome as I will use the platform to promote peace across Nigeria, " she said.


Also speaking, Williams Ugochi Testimony who was crowned the Miss Ambassador for Peace Africa 2018 respectively the platform has always been an avenue for your aspiring ladies pursue their dreams and this is a great opportunity to achieve all that.


"It's an honour and a privilege to be the representing the agency. I feel blessed and I'm thankful to God and the team. Also I want to use this opportunity to appreciate all the contestants. My mission is to use this platform to promote peace at all levels. I volunteer myself to any organisation ready to work with me across Africa and the world," Nene concluded.


There were musical performances from A-listers and top comedians in the country, Such as Faze alone, Rayce, Style Plus, Acapella, ajebo, Philip Rennar, MC Taywaye, and MC BOB.

In commemoration of the 2018 World Peace Day, the Project Director Peace Ambassador Agency, Ambassador Kingsley Amafibe, has urged Nigerians to remain peaceful and law abiding.

Amb Kingsley said sustainable peace can only be guaranteed when there is concerted efforts and deliberate commitment by Nigerians to foster harmony and peaceful coexistence by in the nation.

“Against odds, constructive engagement, dialogue and negotiation remains the only antidote to peace,” he said.

As the nation faces numerous development challenges, Amb Amafibe said the task of nation building and sustainable development is a “collective responsibility” that must be embraced by all.

The Agency marked the World Peace Day with a Peace Walk as the contestant of Miss Ambassador For Peace and Officers of the Nigeria Peace Corps,Civil Society Groups and NGOs All came out to support and also lend their vioce for a Peaceful Nigeria.

The walk started by 9am from City Park to Wuse Market to Banex, then back to City Park.

According to the Peace Corps Of Nigeria Representatives “Nigerians should endeavour to be responsible and patriotic citizens by mobilising support for the government at all levels to move the nation forward. I believe in the sovereignty, indivisibility and unity of Nigeria,” he concluded.

Each year, the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on September 21. The United Nations General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.

The Peace Ambassador Agency Peace football match season 1 was a great success, Top Nigerian Beauty queens and also The Miss Ambassador For Peace Contestant played their heart out against Peace Corps Of Nigeria ladies at City Park Abuja ,a FIFA Certified 5 a Side Pitch.         
                                        
The match which commenced at 4pm was captained by Miss Chioma Faith contestant of the Miss Ambassador for Peace Team that Played Against the Nigeria Peace Corps

The beauty queens scored their first goal through Miss Easther one of the Contestants, Though it lasted not for long as a penalty was also awarded to the Queen/Contestant team which Queen Ashely Yusuf Score to Put the Home Side In Front but it also did not last long as the Peace Corps equalized. the two teams were all bent in winning the match thus it was more interesting.Queen Ashely Yusuf for the Queens/Contestant was Awarded the Player of the Day. the match which ended 2-2, left the center referee Amb Wahala with no choice than penalty shoot out. In the Game peace Their no winner and their no loser.


According to The Project Director Amb Kingsley Amafibe who used the Opportunity to Thank Everyone for coming to show support to the Peace Campaign as the world Marks the World Peace Day. he also reinstated his commitment to peace development in Nigeria and also said that to achieve a peaceful Nigeria We as nigeria should continue to be our brother keeper because Peace is a Collective effort and also a task for every Nigeria.

The Event/Match which was geared towards public sensitization to Mark the World Peace Day.its a Charity football Match and concert to campaign for Peace.
