I am 100% The truth is one can't have it all. There will always be something missing. It could be money, partner, job, children, etc. Just be grateful if you have sound health. Choose to live in the present always, give thanks to God and make yourself happy. Happiness is a choice |
My advise to you is Move on & Don't look back. He doesn't respect you at all. |
Nairaland needs to be tough on tribalism and ethnic slurs. Personally, I almost got drowned in the mess. It's pretty hard to read or watch people insult and malign your tribe simply because your kinsman is the President. But as Christians, we should know that there are no tribes in heaven. Your soul and spirit is not Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, etc. We should let God guide our thoughts and utterances so we do not lose this heavenly race. Practical solution for me now is to ignore and stay off toxic threads or social media channels. Then constantly feed my mind with the words of God. |
fasho01:It's a useless mindset. |
1. Movie : Was a movie guy years ago. Now I hate am ehn. Unless maybe I am forced to the cinema. 2. Onsite job: Nahhh.. Remote work cuts it for me now. You earn more & have flexible schedules although it has its long term uncertainties. 3. Travelling: Gone are those days this used to be my favorite hobby. To even move from one state to another now is war for me unless it's very important. For foreign travel. hehehe. I don't even have an international Passport. Not had it for several years now ![]() 4. Birthdays: I always looked forward to it when I was much younger. It always came with so much fun and groove. Nowadays, I don't celebrate it neither do I want my people to celebrate me too. But madam and the kids no dey gree |
Na person Daddy be this oo.. lol |
Brendaniel:Please show me where any Lagos governor emerged without the backing of the delegates. Candidates emerge either through direct or indirect primaries. Tinubu might propose someone as the party leader but it's left for his followers to support or not. All candidates go through the primaries. When he had issues with Fashola, what happened? The people and party were behind Fashola and he backed down. The people is bigger than the Tinubu. Ambode had no single support among the people and party. Even his wife was overbearing. Insulting Pastors and government officials. It was that terrible. |
Brendaniel:Tinubu's style of leadership is not toxic godfatherism. To the best of my knowledge he grooms and mentors his followers. I'm not sure I ever read where he attempted to impeach any governor in Lagos. He fell out with Ambode which is not abnormal for humans. Ambode contested the primaries against Sanwo-Olu and he lost woefully. Is second term ticket for sitting governors automatic? Not all all. Must Tinubu support his second term ambition? Not at all. Lets learn to separate facts from hearsay. Oga Naptu2, maybe you could help with a fresh thread on this. |
Got two separate list. 1. Gospel 2. Bryson Tiller- To unwind. For Naija seculars, I only watch them on MTV or listen to them on radio while driving.
|
Raskimonojendor:It's really sad Lets even leave Politics aside. Tinubu deserves an apology for the ENDSARS incitements against him. He wasn't even a Presidential aspirant then. He does not deserve that level of hatred. |
Finally But this project took too long oo Lagos just be giving me Joy 😊 Èkó ò ní bàjé ooo! |
urbobo20:Yeah Even his ENDSARS hate speech was targeted at Tinubu & his perceived business interests. Same Tinubu is now President and you expect a soft landing from him? Just dey play My issue with Kanu is, why the hatred for Tinubu when the man never crossed his way? Besides, he left governorship seat in 2007. And never had issues with Igbos while in office. Infact, his administration recruited most of the Igbos that are in Lagos state civil service today. He had many of them as commissioners/Assistants. Igbos form at least 15% of all Lagos state MDAs workers. Secondary schools nko? I went to a government school. My Principal and lots of the teachers were Igbos. I just don't get it |
Borrow wig wear? Has Naija gotten to that level? |
