CelebritiesRe: Osofiia Lands Nigerians In Trouble 62 Deported From Amsterdam-holland by edatika(m): 4:16pm On Jun 25, 2007
quite unfortunate,
but Nigerian embassies has never had a reputation of defending her right in such cases

let's know if they eventually respond, i
if they ever do,
it's unfortunate anyway
BusinessRe: The Cost Of Establishing A Primary And Secondary School? by edatika(m): 4:43pm On Jun 15, 2007
that's very true,
i agree with seun,
you will have stiff competition
especially now that there a thousand and one school out there

if u wish to join them, you will have to spend a lot of money especially if you want to stand out.

i belive that what one can do like Seun said is to start something that is yet to be exploited, before the 'copy cats' come. you would have moved on,

RomanceRe: Can You Marry Your Neighbour? by edatika(m): 11:28am On Jun 15, 2007
I personally feel she should listen to her mind o.

that's why ladies need to swallow their pride and be as humble as possible when searching,
if she thinks she can settle with the guy she should just go ahead
and forget whatever anybody has to say. she shouldnt send them o,

at worst, she has a good job, the guy too is comfortable, if they are not comfortable with staying their, they can just relocate and move to where people dont know them,
chikena!
PoliticsRe: Mujahid Dokubo-asari: Freed! by edatika(m): 11:13am On Jun 15, 2007
funny enough, i guess it's too late
i understand that they are no longer uniform bodies

as they are now in fragments such that a group will invade now, and in a few minutes time another group will show up

they make so much money from the kidnappings without reporting to any sole leader.
these guys make hundreds of millions.
someone will now show up and be telling them stories,

i'm kind of skeptical about the whole issue,
as much as i feel it's good, i think it's a little late.

although he might probably make an impact, i dont think he has such stronghold as he used to.

I pray there is an end to this ASAP.

Nairaland GeneralBehind Every Successful Man Is A Woman by edatika(op): 1:04pm On Jun 14, 2007
i've always thought about this saying and i still do

PropertiesRe: Real Estate: The Problem Of 'Omo Onile' by edatika(m): 12:45pm On Jun 14, 2007
@seun, you are right you know, and most of the time, they have some connections wthin some powerful class
look at the way Lagos state Govt is treating the various families in Ajah.

unfortuanately they(omo oniles) are virtually everywhere,
at least lagos and its environs
except you decide to invest in say a Government acquired estate,

otherwise, they will everly show up,
God help us
PropertiesRe: Real Estate: The Problem Of 'Omo Onile' by edatika(m): 11:59am On Jun 14, 2007
its really unfortunate
i belive the Govt shd look into the menace

and i also hope that the new President's promise to look into the Land Use Act will give room for finding a solution to this problem

FamilyRe: Marriage Should Be Eradicated? by edatika(m): 2:13pm On Jun 13, 2007
well, i think he has his point
it is now left for you to agree or disagree

the world is changing, reminds me of Seun's thread about
Will Smith and Jada 's "Open Marriage",
where the couple can "have fun" outside as ong as it's not hiddle from the other

it's a crazy world really,
but some people still enjoy the marriage institution all the same

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Angry With Yaradua Over Kingibe by edatika(m): 11:59am On Jun 08, 2007
it remind me of the caption

"Nigeria; say Baba" grin grin grin

talk of connection
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Angry With Yaradua Over Kingibe by edatika(m): 11:48am On Jun 08, 2007
although i personally would have prefered fresh blood in this new dispensation
it just confirms what yaradua said that he's not OBJ's puppet aferall

so we shd expect more surprises,
pardon me, whoever it hits,
someone said there are about 150 million pple to choose from,

how many of them are hausa's?
how many of the hausa's are educated to perform?

remember, everyone wants his tribesmen there, as Nigeria is "not" a country as it seems

Yaradua means well, but he definitely will be etting pressure from "home"
and he chooses from the limited choices available,

at least we can see he's almost independent,
TravelRe: Woman Loses 11.8 Million Naira To US Immigration by edatika(m): 2:31pm On May 16, 2007
i personally think such shdnt be hppening to someone who's been part of the system since 1989,
she is more aware than i am(as i stay in Nigeria)
and shd know more than carryin physical cash,
i really pity her

it's really unfortunate
and funny enough when i saw the caption on the papers,
i tot she was another victim of fraud,
and now they are talking about deportation, oyinbo!!!
so so sad,
Music/RadioRe: Dbang's "Tongolo" Was Written For Ini Edo? by edatika(m): 9:29am On May 11, 2007
hmmmm

Dolly Parton wrote her song Joleen to beg another lady to leave her man back then and that broought her to limelight.

PoliticsRe: Did You Vote? Does Your Vote Make A Difference? by edatika(m): 11:32am On Apr 16, 2007
well i voted,
although my candidate did not win
it is obvious that people are more interested in the elections
unlike the past years.

i think my votes still counts,
i voted and i'm happy about it.
CareerRe: My Manager Wants To Have An Affair With Me by edatika(m): 11:22am On Apr 16, 2007
what advise were you expecting?
that you should give in?
or that you should resign?
or that you shd tell the man that such things are not good
that you are old enough to be his grand-daughter / daughter?

i wonder what you really want to hear.
i personally will not advice you thread the blackmail road.
it rarely pays especially in this part of the world (if you are not familiar with the game)

assassins are around, use of juju is real,

if the case is that frustrating
and you dont wanna 'do', then, dont walk away, RUN ,
RomanceRe: Jilted For Lack Of Experience by edatika(m): 2:32pm On Mar 27, 2007
ristic:
there is only one post that hit me. the one from seun. i would love to knw if you have a sister. if u do then i guess she does not ve anything to giv than sex.

for heaven sake there are more to a relationship than sex, apart from marriage. my ex was a muslim and hausa, he was well educated and to tell u the relationship lasted for 5 years (WITHOUT SEX). Unfortunately we couldnt go futher with the relationship, reasons being obvious. Within the 5 years i learnt what i wouldnt ve knwn in the other relationship.
what seun said was that some girls have nothing else to give but sex, he didnt say everyone
and i'm sure you cant deny that, a least some girls sha go out with married men (aristos etc, )

@bikini, u are yet to answer the question someone asked,, the inexperience issue, was it after 'action' or that she said she cant do,

my advice, why not convince your friend to kuku wait till her wedding night,
ANY man will "worship' his woman whom he cuts the scissors at the grand opening ceremony" that no-one has ever reached their before him,
then and then it will even be easier for the lady to talk later in future when issue of infidelity shows up, she can confidently say she has never experienced how another man felt b4 marriage,

this is only applicable when she hasnt done it already,

so bikini, does she now have a little 'experience' with the guy or she's still yet to?
RomanceRe: .. by edatika(m): 1:56pm On Mar 27, 2007
good u chose to talk first before any decision
like seun said its better not to have doubts in your mind before u get to the altar

keep us posted on the outcome of the meeting,
while i hope this isnt too late,

remember civility,, dont let it sound as if the "TRUST" has disappeared
he might get pissed off, especially if he's being unfaithful
CultureRe: What Were Yorubas Called Before The 19th Century? by edatika(m): 4:30pm On Mar 15, 2007
this is a very challenging topic,
it's worth researching into,
think i'll also go and search some history books,
although i learnt they were called "yoobas" before called Yorubas

but one thing is i believe that the language is what is used to identify the people
and not the geographical location
hence, the Ijesha, Egba, Oyo, Ibadan Ife etc,
had there different names but all knew
themselves as Yorubas owing to their language.

@xtycod, sorry,  u aint relevant, sorry

@walelead, nice response
