FoodRe: Why Do Girls Have To Cook? by edatika(m): 10:05am On Jun 19, 2006
well it's not that bad,
some guys might not mind.
but really if u intend to marry a full blooded african (not 'westernised' african)
ability to cook will add to the quality of a wife u are.

but u'v said u dont want to get married anyway, cos u r still young
RomanceRe: Is It Possible To Find A Graduate Man Who Is Still A Virgin? by edatika(m): 5:49pm On Jun 16, 2006
it's so sad that life now does not celebrate virginity,

what's wrong with being a Virgin if u are yet to marry,
apart from from religious reasons,
cant moral reasons be relevant enough,
abegi, allow them,

shd b a pride.

2fine4u:
why would u want a virgin guy? look for the one that's experienced and knows all the tricks instead of one that will be askin u how to wear a condom. a virgin girl is easy to find and the guy won't mind teachin her stuff.
i feel u, u aint ready to teach grin grin

CultureRe: A Woman Combining Her Maiden With Her Husbands Name by edatika(op): 1:25pm On Jun 16, 2006
Desiree,
so u are even yoruba,
anyway, like i said it depends on the guy
and mind u, u dont have to change your names on your certificates et al.
just d name u use regularly, put nee, (for example: Mrs Ngozi John (nee James))
that will cater for the records,

u sound like one tough girl, kilode.
u really dont have go do all the tedioous tasks,
maybe u dont even wish to settle down wit a Nigerian (cos u aint in Nigeria) talk less of a yoruba.
CultureRe: A Woman Combining Her Maiden With Her Husbands Name by edatika(op): 3:26pm On Jun 15, 2006
desiree:
I would still like to keep my maiden name after marriage because of the complexity of changing names on documents and records.Any man would surely understand that.
u cant just conclude like that, well i realy dont know where u r from, but generally, men from my part of the world (Nigeria- Yoruba precisely), except exceptional guys wld understand. cos i personally dont see dat as an excuse (complexity of changing names, ) when u pay dowry uv paid for all including name.

COCO29:
honey when i got i did not even change my name, more over i never used his (WHAT FOR)
well really it really depends on him, happy for u, but i still appreciate the fact that from u use my surname(if i were him).u said what 4??.same it's my culture

i think it has a lot to do with your cultural backgrd. and ur personal opinion.

PropertiesRe: Price of 4 Bedroom House in Victoria Island by edatika(m): 9:23am On Jun 09, 2006
if u are talking of investing in ppties, then u are probably talking of purchasing,

then buying a ppty, in V.I, then u shd be prepared to pay about N200m (yeah that expensive),
then u can get rent of say N5m- N8m annually,

this is for 4/5 Br detached hse/Duplex,
Christianity EtcRe: Is It Wrong To Consult A "white Garment" Spiritualist Or Babalawo? by edatika(m): 8:37am On Jun 09, 2006
all things are created by God, right

but we need to be careful about whom we seek help from.
cos at times what one pays back in return may be worse off.

some Babalawos are even better that some so-called pastors (whom we dont know the true source of their powers.

there's a misconception that Babalawos are demonic, (not all of them).

., i'm not one o, i'm a christian who just has an open mind towards all religion,

my answer to this is that individuals shd seek for their own direct link to God and u'll b surprised how things will work for you, most of us make our pastors almost equal to God.

Christianity EtcRe: Should Christians Judge Other Denominations While God Says Judge Not by edatika(m): 12:44pm On Jun 08, 2006
most of us christians, commit a lot of sin by "fighting for God"
which he himself has not sent us to do for him.

Judge not so that thou shall not be judged.

Christianity EtcRe: Numerology Etc. by edatika(m): 11:30am On Jun 08, 2006
well, i think numerogoly is real,

it really doesnt necesarilly have anything to do with religion,
RomanceRe: How Do I Disclose This!? by edatika(m): 11:24am On Jun 07, 2006
Sweet,
i can imagine the way u feel , but like u said it's life, in ur locality, it's either u are black or u are white, but remember evn the white might frown at marriage to those in from the middle east. it has to do with religious beliefs, way of life etc amongst others,
hope that helps a bit.

Chy,
i very much agree with Twinstaye, the earlier u tell her mother the better.Time is more unfair to the woman.tell the mother early, so that u get the "no" early.
You guys could even go see someone she respects and listens to (say an elderly person), tell that person, convince that person, You might even eventually take the guy to that person.
this elder can even talk to her mother before you guys.

mind you if the mother says no!, tell her not to be rude about it,
let her not to be proving that she's old enough to decide bla bla bla,
u have to be diplomatic about it,
and surprisingly, the mother could okay the relationship.

OUR PARENTS.ESPECIALLY MOTHERS KNOW MORE THAN WE DO
THEY WANT THE BEST FOR US,
SHE WANTS THE BEST FOR HER.

PoliticsRe: IBB For President (2007) by edatika(m): 11:18am On Jun 06, 2006
the nigerian political arena is very unprdictable.
it's better for those not in politics to just stay out and not mind the politicians
was it not after Abila's death that we were hearing that Kola was going out with one of IBB's daughter that they almost got married.
till today, Kola allegedly enters IBB's house at will, and they are very close, yet you so-called Abiola supporters are their critisizing IBB., while a lot even died during the struggle for june 12 (cheap deaths)

the other time, when, Gov. Fayose and Gov.Tinubu had a clash in Ekiti state, a lot of supporters died. some Tinubu sopporters even threatened that if Fayose shd come to Lagos, he wont go back alive,

who was there when they settled?, and Fayose, comes to Lagos almost everyday, yet some people who heard the story are still sleeping on feasting on the initial disagreement.

i believe politicians are just full of deceit.
we shd all stay and watch them do their dance of shame,

afterall, either u vote or u dont vote,, ur vote rarely count.
