Vitamin c( abscorbic acid) causes decarbonization on benzoic acid.

C6H5COOH(benzoic acid) + abscorbic acid = abscorbic acid attached with CO2 + C6H6 (benzene )

What actually happened is that abscorbic acid removed CO2 from benzoic acid to give benzene which is carcinogenic.
