victoria island (british columbia)-canada. catalina island- california quebec-canada borabora -south pacific tahiti vanuatu aspen-colorado to me, a honeymoon is not a vacation/shopping trip it is a memorable once in a lifetime event; turn off the cellphones, try to be secluded, and plenty of natural beauty around. i just cant imagine a honey moon in a busy place like paris, new york, vegas, rome, johanesburgh, egypt or israel. i would go there for vacation. but on my honeymoon, i want a cozy cool place that gets us focused on one thing only: our love. |
brooklyn99:man, those countries r so hellish. i would rather suffer in my village than live in palace in those country |
dear poster travelling abroad no matter where is always a big hustle especially if u have no connection from your destination. remember africa is africa everywhere, so many ghanaians suffer like bats trying to escape hel,l so just do some research before u go there and regret it. beside that, if u r a career minded guy, u can manage it evrywhere but if your resume is empty, it will be very hard.if u dont like it in naija; then think: do u have friends or siblings or even siblings of friends overseas? if yes, may be u can talk to them about how they manage where they r . that way u can have an idea of where u should go. if u can manage to go to ghana, i beleive u can also manage to travel to eastern europe or asia.and why not uk or usa? above all, never let anybody kill your dream. those who made it overseas or not any different or any better than u.if they made it to oversea, u can also make it to oversea |
@ suxes boy the advices from johnkent seem nice but i would be very cautious to travel to the usa using anything arabic like emirates airlines or even going thru morocco , for the simple fact that since sep 11th, the us immigration service gets very nervous with u if any arabic stain is attached to you. my advice would be to try to stick western as much as u can; delta airlines or anything western europeen is very advisable for first timers to the usa, compare also prices for nigeria to new york or philadelphia or new jersey then a flight from those cities to california. or even from naija to the uk then from there to california. i dont know if ghana airways still comes over i wish u good succes in your trip and studies. |
by the way, what i laid out was "semi proffesional" movie. but you can always try to do something in the lines of nollywood; which means: no script, no post production expertise, funky sound,no light,no choreography, too much shouting and screaming, gallons of tears, terrible dvd covers (photography) and of course no protection of the product. just gather family members and friends and use a camcorder and try out; if you do it this way, then please do us favor: kep that movie to yourself and never sell it. i always hide my face in shame when i watch one of those ghana or nigeria movie (i have a lot of them because i am a patriot), and i do my best to hide them from my american friends just to honor 9ja |
well depends on what kind of celebrity u wanna be. p0rn star? musician? politician?preacher? murderer? your best bet would probably to star in a p0rn movie with your african accent and dried out butt. just take a cool name (alias) like: kanayo the bad boy, nigerian shootass, tribalfaka, afrobonbon or even a tribal name like the real mandingo, yoroufaka, igbofaka ,calabass,or anything cool. you will be a celebrity. good luck ![]() |
@ xynerise, i beleive your story is true and funny. i like oge myself and i would have liked to be there when the drama occured. God bless her |
to travel for a movie production, it falls under the umbrella of Work visa. you will be charged other fees for doing business in a different country. movies are merchandises. to produce a movie: you may do it by yourself or work in conjuction with a well established house. for them to do business with u, they may wanna see your resume, and of course the money you are willing to invest in the project. if u want to produce a movie by yourself, these r the basic things: pre-production,production and post-production. pre-production: -you come up with the story (script): write it yourself or buy it from a good novel/book; or find someone to write a story for u.then you will need an editor, to make sure the script is linguisticaly correct. -your casting; find the main character, bad guy and fill in. the actors will charge you their primes.unless you are the main character, but other famous actors who have already established a household name will need to sign contracts with you before playing.it involves money, lawyers and commodities. -equipments:cameras,light,sound. -your costume: will you provide the make ups and clothes? -location,inside a studio? or in public? if in public, the city will charge you for using govmnt property. production: you find a good director, unless you can direct the movie yourself; the director may need a choreographer. then you start shooting your movie post production: this is where the magic lies: you need computers with good softwares to mix, add sound, effects and edit the movie when your movie is done, then you will need to do the marketing and the rest: put it in the theater or sell it yourself sorry for the long lecture butthat's the basics i know of in videography |
is the question: what r the requirements to travel to the usa ? or how much is the ticket? if u wanna know how much the ticket costs, then do an online search. but if u wanna know about the basics in planning a trip to the usa, then that's a long seminar i wouldnt be able to give. but the basics r: valid passport, affidavit of support, visa, ticket |
