jt2010: Mr. Internet warrior, learn to be civil in public forum even if you need to impress your pay-master. Anyway, to the main issue, its seem maybe the President has declare but it is still very vague. My point of concern about the issue of asset declaration is that Mr. President should have taking the opportunity at the president media chat to clear the air on the issue of asset declaration by referring us to the CCB to confirm its asset. As a government that has proclaimed a transformation agenda and wanting to fight corruption, it is important that President Jonathan leads by example, and one way he can do that is to be seen to be transparent in its dealing, just as Mr. President clearly acknowledge that perception account.

Clearly Mr. President is the head of government, its is responsibility to ensure that all aim of government obey the law and constitution of Nigeria. From my google search on Mr. President declaration of Asset, I only see articles of CCB not releasing Mr. President asset form which make me assume that Mr. President may have declare its asset but you can never be sure because Mr. President or the Chairman of CCB has not official inform us if Mr. President has declare its asset (mind you, na Mr. President they appoint the Chairman thus subject to Senate confirmation).

So assuming that Mr. President has truly declare its asset and CCB refuse to release the document to the public as stipulate by law.

Paragraph 11 of Part I of the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution provides that: (1) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, every public officer shall within three months after the coming into force of this Code of Conduct or immediately after taking office and thereafter -- (a) at the end of every four years; and (b) at the end of his term of office, submit to the Code of Conduct Bureau a written declaration of all his properties, assets, and liabilities and those of his unmarried children under the age of eighteen years".[/b] [b]Mind you, you said Mr. President Declare its asset May 27, 2010 when i know for sure that that was during the death of the late President Yar'adua and you fall to mention that Mr. President also later take the oath of office May 29, 2011 and fall to declare it asset as required my law.[font=Lucida Sans Unicode][/font]

But it is clear that Nigeria constitution clearly allow the public to request and obtain Mr. President Asset Declaration from CCB. Even the FOI Act itself clearly allows such.

Looking at this scenario, its is obvious that Mr. President body language and statement is what CCB chairman is acting on if we need to use reason because right now, CCB is not following Nigeria constitution which also direct them to release the asset declaration of any Public office including Mr. President to any member of the public upon request but possible Mr. President Principle on the issue is not allow them if only Mr. President has even declare its asset.

It's very simple. Just buy a cable and RF (male nd female) connector. You'll see the RF out behind your receiver, connect d cable to d connector @ both ends then to your receiver nd Tv Rf in. Then search for the station on your Tv.

@op, I was very fortunate to watch Enyimba FC vs Kaduna UTD's match last week Sunday live. But what I saw in the match was very appauling.
Enyimba's first goal came from what was supposed to be a fair play. Kaduna UTD's goal keeper was roughly challenged from an aerial ball and on landing, the keeper was still having the ball but he had to throw the ball to throwing when the refree stoped play. But to my suprise, when Enyimba players throw the ball which was supposed to be passed to Kaduna UTD players for Fair play, they actually used it to score and their opponents din't approached them cos they were expecting the ball to be given to them.
This kind of officiating is very terrible and I feel embarassed for watching the match.

What happened yesterday where watched the match confirmed to me that Chelsea fans are touts. I watched the match in a very nice and quiet hotel but when Drogba equalised, this guy had to break the bottle of the beer he was taking and the person beside him. And when Robben missed, he had to pour the other bottle he requested for on his head. It was God that saved me cos i was sitting behind him.

Also have a friend that had 4.49. Was very painful.

The reason being dat, for browsin they are rubbish nd even for cals, it's only the FAF nos dt i call on it and i have even stoped that for some days now. I now prefered my Etisalat for browsin and Glo for cals. My Mtn line is now used for receiving calls.

Hints for everybody who wants to track W6. Make sure you have the right dish which could either be 90cm or 1m, but the sure bet is 1m. Your location will determine how far away is goin to be from W4 (i.e it varries). Also, the lnb that you are using matters most. For e.g, using sharp lnb, it's at 3:00 and using Fuji HD lnb, its at 1:00. I have tracked this sat in Abeokuta, Ibadan and Kainji all with good quality. Hope this helps.

Yes, it is possible to use 3 lnbs but not on your 80cm dish. You will need at least another 90cm dish for your w6 which even depends on how good you are in tracking birds cos w6 is very stubborn. My suggestion is that, you should try and get another 90cm dish or better still 100cm so that you can get the w6, w4 and Astra 2b on it together.

W3 is a satelite on 7 degree E, W4/7 is on 36 degree E while W6 is on 21 degree E.

You can see it from the degrees that W4/7 and W6 are close to each other which brings the reason why some people are able to get the two together on one dish but with different lnbs and also depending on the location of that person.

You can*t track W6 with 80cm dish. The least you can use is 90cm but the best will be 100cm.

You can also check the child board for each of these satelites thread where everything is been explained extensively.

For the above tp to hit green on 60 cm dish, the tp for vox africa (12.605 H 29.950) must hit at least 84%. For the uefa match they will show will be the same for there etv africa.

Actually am using 1m for both Sirius and W3, i will try to adjust my lnb. But it will also affect 12728H 3000.

I have been thinking about your problem and i remembered i had a similar issue about 2 years ago, when i got to Maiduguri, i already had a 1.8m dish, which i used to track hotbird, but i wanted another one to serve as a motorized dish. someone offered me one, which he had used before, but had been lying dormat for sometime. when i brought it over and installed, the results i was getting were strange. nss7 and w3a were as high as could be expected (close to 97% for nss7), but nothing for nilesat, although there was a particular TP for nilesat back in those days which had a high signal strength for west Africa, i could get that TP only as high as 71%, but others just wouldn't turn green (i remember that tp had to be as high as 75% before the others would appear).

So i studied the dish for a while and discovered that even though the LNB was more or less at the focal point, its line of sight was not directly in line with the middle of the dish, but was pointed away from the centre to one side, so the reason why i could get nss7 et.al, was because the tilt made the dish to function as an offset dish, the effective diameter was therefore less than 1.8m (probably 1m from my estimation), the dish was so old and tampered with that one or two of the arms supporting the LNB had twisted making the lnb to tilt away from true centre. what i did was to remove all three arms, put them next to each other, i saw the one that was bent and i straightened it, made sure they all had a similar appearance, before connecting the LNB back, and VOILA, my dish was good to go.

So my suggestion to you is this. Calculate the focal length, let say its about 1m, then get a thin but straight and piece of metal or plastic rod that is just less than that length, by a few cm, put it at the centre of the dish (you would have to place the dish on the ground with the bowl facing up, or if it has an adjustable tripod, drop it so the bowl faces directly upwards, then put your straight rod to be at the centre of the dish to serve as the focal length, now if you know how many cm short of the focal length you cut your rod, you'll be able to know if the LNB is at the right length, also if one of the supporting arms is bent, you'll be able to see if the LNb is pointed away from true centre.

There are many factors that could cause a dish not to pick signals as expected. The first and foremost is the dish mould. If the mould is not good, then your dish parabola will not be perfect hence leading to poor signal reception. Since yours is an old dish we assume it was working perfectly when it was new. So, that brings us to the refurbishment job that you did. If you didn't fix the foil properly, your dish reception will be poor. Next is the focal point. Assuming you did a good refurbishment job but you didn't adjust the focal length properly, your dish will still not perform properly.

For dish focal point calculation, this has been treated exhaustively in the official FTA thread part 3 & 4. However for your convenience I will reproduce the formula here:

@edey2real, since u said the tripod is somewhat shaking, i will suggest u start from there.Adjust the focal lenght as well and ensure u hit 97% on 11051 v  30000 @ nss7ku before going for nilesat.

3a 49% on 3m. I think is time for installers to be able to analyse the specs of a dishe especially the locally made ones. Check the focal point of the dish to make sure the lnb mount is at its accurate position.
