Mujtahida:
Imagine if a team presses him on the ball and neutralises him we go dey shout say Mikel no play well. No! Science has only been applied on him. But if we are dynamic enough we find another creative outlet and surprise the opponent. Or another strategy that lessens Mikel's role.
That's what Iwobi/Moses Simon is meant to do. We need to get the balance right on the flanks. One creative inverted forward and one who runs in behind. Another problem with having Nacho play as a lone striker in this 4-2-3-1. Hold up play is not yet up to scratch

Funny enough, I believe our best Defensive midfield combination should be Mikel-onazi(Mikel sits While onazi roam). But Mikel want that role no more. Anyone can watch nig Vs civ afcon 2013 for instance again and see. Onazi-Ndidi leaves space behind a lot .They are both always running forward. Personally, I think having the below option won't be a bad idea.

1. Akpeyi/Uzoho Gk
2. Shehu/Ebuehi RB
3. Idowu/Echiejile LB
4. Balogun/Omeruo LCB
5. Ekong/Awaziem RCB
6. Mikel/Ogu DMF
7. Onazi/Ndidi DMF
8. Iwobi/Obi CM
9. Moses/Etebo LW
10.Simon/Musa RW
11. Ighalo/Iheanacho ATTK
Exactly. I've never been entirely convinced by this axis. We need a Regista type next to either one of them.

Starting to think the Turkish owners st Sittard were looking for a way to get rid of Oliseh and unfortunately Oliseh fell into their trap. The getting players to sign a contract thing could be true. Maybe the Turkish owners were afraid of fan backlash if they just sacked him outrightly.
Despite the rumors of Oliseh being dictatorial in the past, we had articles way people who criticized him eventually admitting that his style of doing things was responsible for their great performances.
So yeah...those owners might be shady

Joel Obi did ok today. Wasn't concentrating fully on the game, crazy how he messed that 2 on 1 up with Belotti.
He has to make the squad at least as a sub.

So you don't think that we are capable of upgrading our infrastructures before the year 2026? I think we can if we really want to. Or we can make a joint bid with Ghana; that way we can only shoulder half of the cost.

O pari
Nigeria is not a serious country. Our infrastructural decay won't be fixed in 8 years.

Honestly, I am ambivalent about this. First, I believe that we've hosted the U-20 World Cup before. So why don't we go for the real thing: bid to host the main FIFA World Cup? It's either go big or go home, right? If South Africa can do it, I don't see why Nigeria can't.

Second .... (*in the voice of Arnold S* I will be back)

Wow. I am the first person to reply. I need an award for this one, folks grin grin

O pari
Our infrastructure is no where close to being adequate enough to host the real thing.

I think iwobi gets the hatred from English fans because he chose naija.

Iwobi is "hated" because people expect much from him. No comment on Alli

Iwobi will benefit from a better manager. You can see world class potential from time to time but i do not think Wenger is helping him develop some weaknesses.

Whilst Wenger gives youngsters opportunities, he is not the best at developing them.

Look at the players that failed to reach their potential.

Denilson
Merida
Walcott
Chamberlain
Gibbs
Etc

Put Bellerin and Iwobi with a development manager and you will see massive development.
Think he's lost the knack for developing players. He became horrible at it after 2010/11 season.
I wouldn't blame him for Walcott, Chamberlin and Gibbs though. Merida left as soon as he saw he couldn't break into the team.
Think Iwobi would be better under a coach like Pep/Tuchel.

Oh I've been conversing with a fellow goon grin

A Spuds fan trolled cos you allowed him to. Despite all the hype surrounding their so-called golden era, they've still got nothing on Arsenal. Are still significantly poorer in the trophy count, which is the most important index in measuring success.

And oh, Wenger might have lost it in recent times, but every genuine gooner should know better than to be disrespectful to the man. Wengay? WTF

He's done so much for our club he deserves respect.
Wenger deserves no respect for staying this long. Only reason I'm not even cursing him is because of the way he's been nurturing Iwobi. I hope he gets sacked this summer. We need Allegri or Tuchel

Spurs haven't won a thing...for all the media hype.

At the emboldened, I find that funny, cos if my memory serves me right, Arsenal have been finishing in the top four and ahead of Tottenham for more than 20 years but we were repeatedly told that that wasn't a big deal as only trophies count.

But yeah, now that they've started winning something, top four is apparently a bigger deal.

Talk about shifting the goal post grin
But Wengay and the wenger knows best brigade claimed Top 4 was a trophy. Well he isn't winning the top 4 trophy anymore, so what's the excuse?? As soon as Mou, Pep and Klopp came into the league, my guy got exposed.
I never ever thought I'd live to see the day a Spuds fan would troll me. This is all thanks to Wengay. #wengerout

If that ndidi move Liverpool is actualized, that means we have a potential barca player. If he goes to Liverpool and do wat he's doing in Leicester, I'm sure sooner or later, Barcelona will snatch him.

Keita is more of a Kroos kinda player not exactly Pogba. Kroos has thrived as a DMF in a counter attacking system under Ancelloti and coincidentally, that is the kind of system Klopp employs.

Then who is the back-up to Mohammed Salah? We don't even know his name because he has probably not played up to three games this season, that should tel you a lot about Klopp's rotational policy
You do have a point re rotation. However Klopp isn't going to win titles if his squad is not big enough especially with his gengen pressing style.

the problem is that the guy quoted it like it is a known fact! How is Iheanacho a tall striker?
Yeah that was surprising. The Pep quote on Mandzukic is what I tried looking for. All he had to say was Pep doesn't work well with target men and poachers but I guess that'd go against the narrative some have about Nacho on here.

Klopp has been using the 4-3-3 formation since he arrived at LFC... only a few times has he reverted to 4-3-2-1 or 4-4-2..

Next season I expect our lineup to b like this..

GK

Robertson/Moreno (LB)
Van Djik
Matip/new CB)
Clyne/TAA/Gomez

Keita
Hendo(he is an undisputed starter,no matter his terrible form.. Lucas's departure from d club is d reason he has been deployed as a DMF this season...)
Ox/Or any AmF

Mane
Salah
Firmino

You are right about Keita being attacking minded but Klopp bought him specifically for the DMF role and that's where he will play... I don't see where Ndidi will fit in the starting XI.. Klopp won't bench Henderson for him trust me..
If Klopp is buying Keita for DM role then he's making a big mistake. I've seen many English pundits compare him to Kante but they're nothing alike. For me, it should be DM - Hendo - Keita or Hendo - Ox/Lallana - Keita. Ndidi would get a decent amount of games rotating like the Ox those.
Best if he chills at Leicester...I just don't want him staying too long there like Mahrez

Mickael2:
where will Ndidi play? Ndidi going to Liverpool will be the worst mistake of his life. You have a coach who is always going to play a 4-3-3. In the middle you only have room for one destroyer(which is what Ndidi is), then consider the fact that you also have Naby Keita coming in who is a destroyer plus a brilliant ball player. I think this talk should die down until the transfer window comes around then we can see the clubs who actually have a deficiency in their DMF role and who are willing to take Ndidi. For me though, Leicester remains the best club for him
Naby isn't necessarily a destroyer. He's much closer to Pogba if anything. Dude even plays on the wing sometimes.
Where it'll be difficult for him is if Liverpool sign Lemar as well. I can see Ndidi being Emre Can's replacement. Henderson will be the only one able to play as a DM if Emre leaves

As a Liverpool fan,I'm tired of hearing about next season abeg...
we will become serious title contenders if Klopp can fix the defence and let go of some of his ego..

I'm quite excited about having Ndidi in the squad though.. I'm not sure how true the rumours are cus Klopp isn't usually shy to make his transfer targets publicly...
We already have Keita coming in the summer,so I dunno where Ndidi will fit in... maybe as a CMF or backup for Keita
You guys on the rise compared to useless Arsenal. Good thing you guys got Van Dijk. All is left is a keeper and DM. I don't think your full backs are bad sef. Keita is more of an attacking play so he wouldn't be in competition with Ndidi. It'll be something like Ndidi/Gini/Henderson - Ox/Lallana/Lemar - Keita
