Multi talented artist and entrepreneur Cuppy brings her summer Afrobeats party "Cactus on the Roof" to town. The highly talked about day party has held on Sundays at the Maison Fahrenheit rooftop, Victoria island Lagos with a lush atmosphere and some of the coolest people partying till dawn.

Many times, we give up on God because of reports from medical practitioners but hope is the story of this woman, Oyinkansola O, who was told she didn't have enough eggs but gave birth to four boys.

Her story is inspiring and it should challenge people to expect even when the circumstance doesn't encourage it. She shared photos of her four boys with herself and her husband to appreciate the goodness of God for the blessing of a family he gave to her.

Dear Compatriots,

I felicitate with all Nigerians, particularly our Christian brothers and sisters, on the occasion of this year’s Christmas day celebration.

The commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ is an important opportunity for us to show love to one another and encourage unity by spending quality time with our friends, families and the less-privileged.

It is also an occasion to draw inspiration from the exemplary lifestyle and teachings of Jesus Christ, who constantly stood for what is right, true and honest.

The Holy Book describes Christmas as a festival of peace, joy, healing, hope and fulfilment. It kindles great expectations in the heart, irrespective of the challenges of the moment.

As we celebrate this Yuletide season, let us devote some time to pray and appreciate the sacrifices of members of our armed services to keep our nation safe and secure.

By the same token, and keeping with the spirit of the season, our gallant troops serving in the frontlines in the fight against insurgency; those wounded, lying in the hospital, as well as civilians who have suffered the brunt of evil and wicked elements these past years, deserve our fervent goodwill and sustained prayers.

The personal fortitude of these individuals will continue to inspire us to victory as we turn the tide against the enemy and annihilate those who work against the unity of our nation.

In this season of hope, let us remember to provide refuge to those who cannot enjoy Christmas at home with their families, or have been driven from their homes by insurgency or violence, particularly the Internally Displaced Persons.

Lately, we have witnessed an upsurge in the activities of trans-border syndicates who lure our youths to modern slavery through irregular migration. While we have stepped up our efforts to halt this wickedness against the upwardly mobile generation, and have evacuated some of our compatriots stranded abroad, we appeal to them to shun the allure of embarking on such perilous journeys.

I am deeply convinced that better days lie ahead for us as a nation as we make progress on all the major fronts where we have set our energies to surmount the challenges.

The Director-General of Nasarawa State Pension Bureau, Mr. Abdullahi Sani-Oseze, said on Saturday the state government has increased the minimum pension of retirees to N5, 000.

Sani-Oseze, who disclosed this in Lafia, said government made the adjustment in order to make life more meaningful for pensioners in the state.



He said some workers, who retired from active service before the implementation of minimum wage in the state, were receiving as low as N1, 000 as their monthly pension.

Sani- Oseze said: “So we consider the plight of this category of pensioners and reported to Governor Umaru Al-Makura, who directed that there should be an upward review of their pensions.

“No pensioner today in the state receives less than N5, 000 as his monthly pension.”

He said the Bureau had taken measures to address issues of some pensioners, who had not benefited from any payment since the inception of Al-Makura’s administration in 2011.

Nigerian dancehall star, Damini Ogulu popularly known as ‘Burna Boy’ on Friday submitted himself to the Lagos State Police Command to state his side of the story over allegations of his involvement in a robbery attack on a fellow artiste, Mr. 2kay. Dancehall musician, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy at the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, on Friday, December 15, 2017.

He was subsequently arrested, interrogated and detained and is expected to be charged to court on Monday alongside four of members of the gang earlier arrested. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, after the interrogation, said the State Police Command has zero tolerance for all forms of crime and would not hesitate to prosecute anyone found culpable in any criminal offence perpetrated in the State.

“There would be no sacred cows. This Command is poised to ensure that every resident can feel safe wherever they are and carry out their businesses without fear or favour. Anyone therefore found to be involved in this case would be made to face the law to clear his or her name or face prosecution,” Imohimi said.

The pop musician, who was declared wanted by the Lagos Police Command in connection with the robbery attack on another popular musician, Mr. 2kay at Eko Hotel and Suites early last month, reported to the Command headquarters in Ikeja at about 5pm.

Tunmise Omotore, gang leader of the suspected robbers, had confessed on how they disguised as room service to rob Mr. 2kay at Eko Hotel and Suites on the instruction of Burba Boy’s Road Manager, Joel Kantiock.

Many Nigerian on social media are asking where the Imo State Commissioner for Happiness is, after some photos of a man seen carrying his sick son to the hospital in wheelbarrow emerged online.



A Facebook user identified as Chizomam Onyeledo, has taken to the social networking platform and shared some photos of a man who was captured on camera carrying his son in a wheelbarrow to the hospital in Imo state.

The poster shared the photos and wrote;

"The issue of transportation in Owerri is really dealing with people.



Today at the hospital, everyone became speechless as a man brought his son for wound dressing and check up with wheelbarrow!!!

This little boy was involved in an accident,he had fracture(broken arm) and this made it difficult for his dad to carry him. The man explain that they've waited for hours and there was no available vehicle to bring them to the hospital.

This is the height of suffering that even with your money in your pocket you'll have to trek miles under hot sun!!!

A coalition of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and other protesters on Wednesday stormed the national assembly in Abuja to protest against the controversial NGO Bill.

The bill is slated for public hearing on Wednesday and Thursday, 13th and 14th December, 2017.

The protesters were however prevented from gaining entrance into the National Assembly Complex by armed policemen.


Sponsor of the NGO bill, Hon Buba Jibril, was absent as the public hearing on the bill kicked off at the House of Representatives today.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye‎, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was ambushed during an early morning prayer walk on Wednesday.


The story, narrated by him on Wednesday night, was one of the many highlights of the third day of Congress, holding at the Redemption Camp of the church, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.


According to the pastor, he was trying to look for a quiet place in the Camp, which is fast becoming a big town, at about 4am, when some people ambushed him for blessing.


The high demand for meeting the pastor‎ has often denied him privacy.



“If you see a man of over 75 years old walking alone at night, you must know that he is doing that on a purpose, but the people won’t let me,” he recounted. “I tried to veer along a path into the bush, and was relieved to be alone to pray, but they traced me there.”


He said finally, he was able to be alone with God, who assured him during the Wednesday programme every yoke of bondage would be broken.


He did not explain how he was able to free himself from the people who were following him, but the deliverance service later that day and early Thursday, was attended by millions of people.
