Over a year after signing his distribution deal with Sony Music Africa, Tinny Entertainment has taken the decision to terminate Ycee‘s relationship with the company.

The relationship has been fraught with disagreements and social media outbursts for quite a while now, Ycee infamously accusing Sony’s Michael Ugwu of ripping off artists.

In a statement released on their website, Tinny Entertainment revealed that the deal was terminated in December and they now have sole right to all materials by Ycee.

The statement reads:

We would like to state officially that we terminated our contract with SONY through our lawyers, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, by a letter dated 5 December 2017.

Henceforth, we are the sole owners of the copyright in any and all of our music and can exploit our music on any and every platform.

We have realized that it is best to undertake the distribution of our records by ourselves, as a Record Label and that Made in Nigeria across board, is the only way to be above board.”

As a Label, we are pushing out great music this year starting with “Say Bye Bye,” “I Wish” and our YCEE and Bella Collabo EP, “Late Night Vibrations.”

Nollywood actress Empress Njamah stated she ‘feels offended’ when younger men woo her. The actress is currently single and gets a lot of attention from the opposite sex. However, a lot of the attention comes from younger men who do not realise her age.

In an interview we Sunday Scoop she stated: “A lot of men in their twenties say they admire me and want to date me. I am sure most of them think I am really young. Sometimes, I find it annoying because if they know my actual age, they wouldn’t come close or show interest in me.

“When people say I look like a lady in her twenties, I just smile. I am actually in my thirties. when people ask me what I do to look the way I do, I struggle to give an answer. I guess it is just the grace of God because I don’t do anything special.”

Asked about her future plans she said: “For people who know me well, I don’t talk too much. I believe actions speak louder than words and that has been my approach to life. I am satisfied with all that I achieved last year. I am also an entrepreneur. I have a boutique where I sell ladies’ wear and accessories. I wouldn’t be honest if I say there are no challenges, but I thank God for the strength to overcome them.”

The company was established in 2016 as a joint-venture entity between the Sokoto state government and IML Industries Ltd.


Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Tambuwal said the event is a clear testimony of his administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance the economic well-being of the people of the state.
He said apart from the fertilizer company, other policies have been implemented in order to put the state economy in the right direction.

“The micro and macro-economic policies of both the federal and Sokoto state governments have started yielding positive results. As we can see, positive results have been churned out from sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, entrepreneurship development and other areas in the social investments chain.


“It worthy to note that governments at all levels are making progress in empowering the people to become self reliant with a view to addressing socio-economic challenges bedeviling the country,” he added.


Tambuwal said Sokoto state is one of the few states in Nigeria endowed with lots of unexploited natural resources adding that significant progress has been made in the last two years in harnessing such resources for the benefit of the people.


He said government’s strategic investment plan has been worked out and is being implemented through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) under the management of Sokoto Investment Company.
He also announced the purchase of two trucks of the fertilizer for each of the 23 local government areas in the state totaling over N104 million.


In his remarks, the Managing Director of the company, Alhaji Bilya Sanda, said when in full operation, the company can produce 20,000 bags of organic fertilizer daily.

An appreciative Taxify customer was grateful to one of their drivers who he had patronised and left his wallet filled with cash in his taxi.

A SUV was involved in a lone accident in Lagos as it veered off the road and into a canal in Lagos. No casualties were recorded as at the time this report was filled and we hope its just the car that has some dents.
