I have known this girl for a while now, 7 years, we have never had sex because we rarely see see each other. The last time we almost had sex was when I invited her down to my base, South South Nigeria, but it didn't happen because I didn't insist much. Should I say we are dating? I have tried letting her go but I just get so emotional about her. I later made up with her and told her that I have forgiven her. And I advised her to stop seeing this guy and she said yes. I have not been able to travel down to Northern Nigeria to see her because of the distance. I am hoping she would respect herself and stay safe but I have a feeling that the guy is still"servicing" her. At times I feel bad, like I should just let go since she is far away but I still feel she is passing out by February next year maybe I should be patient. I really want to marry her but I am just scared that she is still fucking that guy. I know how hard it is for a guy to let go a "free chop". I was once like that in my nysc days, I mean I had " free chop" too. Someone please advise me whether to move on or not. Distance is really a bastard!

edimolu, a question for you. How would you love to be treated if you had a bad breath? What you're faced with is a sensitive issue. Not one you would have to tell her as it is simply because it's the truth and it hurts. You might lose her and subsequently reduce her self-esteem for doing so, and I think you don't want that 'cause you're seeking for a solution.

If I were you, I'd call her to come over that I have something of importance to discuss with her. This approach will keep her mind roaming for what it might possibly be. That is, if she doesn't know she's got bad breath and which ever is the case, nothing will come as a shock to her.

Secondly, don't mention the issue if you don't have a solution. You can volunteer to follow her to see a dentist. They wash mouth and also render remedies to bad breath.

Lastly, don't act distant from her 'cause she'll try to sense if you're, and if you don't, you earn her trust and affection more.

I remember the day I ate sweet potatoe to bed. when I woke up at night to ease myself, I beched. the gas that came put from my mouth can kill mosquito. since that day, I stoped sweet pototoe. certian food gives bad offensive odour most especially when it is digesting...

I believe that if you love someone genuinely there's nothing you shouldn't tell her when you guys are familiar with each other and even having sex. I am very conscious of thing such as hygiene, spots on the skin etc if I was in your shoes honestly I would bail out if I wasn't feeling her.

You can also research and see if you can find remedies online or take her to see a doctor so she doesn't repulse you. Happy weekend Sir.

Oh dear, to be honest, no matter how nice you say it, it will probably upset her. It may even be underlying health issues so apply tact if you end up addressing it. Include yourself by saying something like ‘we all have our bad days etc’ or something.

First; Bad breath might not be as a result of 'Not brushing' it could be a disease or so,

Second; The best kind of friend is a friend who will always tell you the bitter truth on issues without hiding, filtering or pretending.

That's why no matter how people hate them at the initial stage, they'll still want to get close to them indirectly.

ADVICE; Tell her that she has bad breath. It's for her own good.


While doing it.

-Don't pamper her, be serious.
-Don't be aggressive, be concerned.
-Don't beat around, be bold and plain.

I will advise you sit her down for a heart-to-heart chat. Liven her up by asking her to tell you what she thinks you are doing wrong in the relationship. When she has had her say, tell her about yours. Remember, nothing will work except a direct approach. And even with a direct approach, you would still need a lot of patience and self-control because she might just explode.
