Tinubu is obviously the next president to succeed Buhari. I hope Tinubu won't disappoint Nigerians

Anyway, guys please refer me to any opening or loan to kick start a business

They say, Patience is virtue… so wait for Tinubu to emerge the president of the Federal republic of Nigeria. It is just a matter of months, you don’t need to take loan if you know Tinubu will make things right. Just wait man. The lord is your strength

Tinubu is becoming more like President of Yoruba Muslims.
They're the major people giving him support along with Yoruba Muslim celebrities and Motor park workers.

Hardly do you see even Northerners supporting him.

For me you are right if you say the northerners are not supporting him rather they are supporting Shettima because one way or the other If Tinubu is not eliminated by nature before their stipulated timing then they will eliminated him manually

So what if he wasn't much of a bully before marriage

Or even if he's, you are already married

You should just stay there and accept your upcoming death like ekueme singer, not asking for divorce till he finally beat you to death in the name of the father, son and holy Spirit

I wonder how you see things though but you are not a fast thinker as one would think, your reply said it all

Well you don’t just jump into marriage like that without knowing the person in-total, even if you spend as low as 1 year with a man you see a future with, it is enough for you to know what he is capable of, 365 days he can’t hide the devil in him that much

Biography of Bola Ahmed Tinubu

FULL NAME : Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu

DATE OF BIRTH : 29 March 1952 (age 69)

OCCUPATION : Accountant, Politician

MARITAL STATUS : Married

INTRODUCTION

Bola Ahmed Tinubu was elected Senator for the Lagos West constituency in Lagos State, Nigeria in 1993, he also was elected governor of Lagos State (1999 – 2007). He is said to be among Nigeria’s most successful politicians ever. He is currently the national leader of the ruling party in Nigeria, All Progressive Congress (APC).

EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was born in Lagos, Nigeria to the illustrious Tinubu Family of Lagos State. He attended St. John's Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos and Children's Home School in Ibadan, South West of Nigeria. Tinubu then went to the United States in 1975. He attended Richard Daley College, Chicago Illinois, where he earned himself a place in the honors list of the College. He subsequently proceeded to the Chicago State University, Illinois where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting and Management).

During his undergraduate years, he was honored with the Outstanding Student’s Award, The University Scholar’s Award and the Certificate of Merit in Accounting and Finance.

On his arrival in the U.S. in 1975 and with the support of an ever-adoring mother, this courageous youth, faced with an unflinching zeal to succeed, took on such menial jobs as dishwashing, night-guard and cab-driving to see himself through the initial difficulties of school at the Richard Daley College, Chicago, Illinois.

The brilliance of this young Nigerian showed in his ability to make the honours’ list of Richard Daley College. He subsequently transferred to the Chicago State University, Illinois, graduating with honours in 1979 and earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting and Management). During his first year in Chicago State University, young Bola was given the rare privilege to partly teach other students of his Faculty remedial tutorial classes. Most of his colleagues and contemporaries at the university attributed their improved grades to his tutorial lectures.

Throughout his undergraduate years, young Bola was on the Dean’s List and was honoured with the Outstanding Student’s Award, the University Scholar’s Award and the Certificate of Merit in Accounting and Finance. He was also awarded the prestigious Sumna cum laude for scoring 3.54 out of possible 4.0 GP.

With his successful academic profile, young Bola contested and won his first political election as the President of the Accounting Society of the institution in his final year at the University.

Upon graduation with honours and several awards, Bola Tinubu cut his professional teeth at the American-based Arthur Anderson, Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now called Deloitte Haskins and Touche) and GTE Service Corporation – the largest Communication and Utility Company in the United States of America.

Meanwhile, at Deloitte Haskins and Sells, the young and professional Bola broadened his experience by participating in the auditing and management consultancy services of General Motors, First National Bank of Chicago, Procter and Gamble, International Harvester, GEC and other Fortune 500 firms.

After returning to Nigeria in 1983, Bola Tinubu joined Mobil Oil Nigeria, and later became an executive of the company.

Why Asiwaju Tinubu ?

One word; COMPETENCE .

Asiwaju Tinubu is extremely competent and capable to lead Nigeria to greater heights. He is an excellent experienced public administrator and a Patriot to the core.

Asiwaju Tinubu is a brilliant visionary leader who will keep his promise to take Nigeria to greater heights.

I may need to take you down memory lane of his account of stewardship in public office in case you do not know or trying to ignore the significance of Asiwaju's sterling performance in office as a reason he is being rewarded woth support today.

As the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu recovered what is now called Eko Atlantic from the raging Atlantic ocean Lagos Bar beach coast line flooding (for decades that problem even some of the more developed nations explain away as climate change problems) defied all solutions by FG and the highbrow strategic Victoria Island was deteriorating fast with businesses, embassies, hotels etc exiting VI in droves. During that time, the Atlantic ocean flooding reach the fringes of Ozumba after the flood completely take over Adetokunbo Ademola. Lagos State Government under the brilliant , resourceful and hardworking Asiwaju Tinubu solved that herculean challenge and today, VI is back to its glory.

It was Asiwaju Tinubu that brought back the Lagos Central Business District and Broad street commercial nerve centre of Nigeria back to life after it was abandoned, it's Asiwaju Tinubu who built major roads from Oregun to Lawanson to Igando LASU to as far as Badagry etc.

Asiwaju Tinubu is the one who fixed the horrible waste problem we had in Lagos and that LASTMA and BRT you see was created by Asiwaju. Asiwaju Tinubu was the one who got Lagos State to be part of the owners of Econet and unlike Delta State where the shares were sold and funds pocketed, Lagos State Shares were warehoused with professional investors in the state investment agency called Ibile holdings.

Asiwaju Tinubu increased bursaries to students of Lagos State origin (NULASS) and made public schools free for all Lagosians regardless of your tribe, religion or political party affiliation after his administration had successfully returned missionary schools to their original owners( other states later copied Lagos) . It was during his tenure that Ikeja General Hospital became a teaching Hospital, upgraded most of the clinics to General Hospitals giving free health to the 5 years and below and Lagosians of 65 years and above age group. .

The fund that BRF used to quickly build infrastructures were the LGA funds withheld by Pa Obasanjo and despite that Asiwaju Tinubu never owed salaries.
When the purchase of FG refineries by Alhaji Dangote was cancelled by HE Yardua, Alhaji Aliko Dangote ran to Asiwaju Tinubu after most state governments and governors in the SS gave Dangote a cold shoulder. Today, through the assistance Asiwaju Tinubu gave Aliko Dangote, Dangote Refinery is taking off to help us stop the petrol subsidy killing our naira and public finances.

Asiwaju Tinubu is loyal to those who paid the ultimate price for our democracy and today heroes like Bagauda Kalto, Pa Alfred Rewane, Pa Abraham Adesanya etc are immortalized in Lagos .

One of the most memorable achievements of Asiwaju Tinubu for me was helping to stop the blood letting and recurring Hausa-Yoruba/OPC war in Idi Araba and Agege. Those hellish period of unrest defied even the effort of past military state administrators of Lagos but Asiwaju Tinubu was able to solve it.

That Lagos State Government civil service is regarded as the best in Nigeria is due to the hardwork Asiwaju Tinubu did to reform it, created Tutors-Generals offices, improved harmonized pay structure, best pension scheme for civil servants etc.
I can go on and on to educate you on the legacies of Asiwaju Tinubu still standing till today as my reasons for my confidence in Asiwaju Tinubu sir/ma

That's why my appeal goes to you my fellow patriotic Nigerians to please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu.
Please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu.

Politics / 2023: Nigerians Should Vote Us Out If They’re Not Satisfied – Lawan by edoboy74(m): 2:56pm On Nov 20, 2020
President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has warned that there could be anarchy if the Senate is scrapped as being clamoured by some Nigerians.

Rather, he challenged those who are not comfortable with the senators in the current 9th Senate to vote them out in 2023 if they don’t like their faces.

Lawan stated this on Friday while declaring open, a retreat for top management staff of the National Assembly and National Assembly Service Commission in Abuja.

He described the Senate as a leveler which ensured that all parts of the country are equally represented unlike the House of Representatives where states with higher populations produce the highest number of lawmakers.

The Senate President also faulted the argument of those clamouring for the scrapping of the Senate because of the perceived jumbo pay being earned by the senators.

He said the annual budget of the National Assembly is less than one per cent of the nation’s 2021 budget.

Education / Endasuustrike: Nigeria Students To Embark On Protest If Strike Continues by edoboy74(m): 11:58am On Nov 20, 2020
Nigerian Students in federal universities have vowed to take to the streets in protest if the President Muhammadu Buhari government refuses to heed the demand of striking university lecturers, which had led to an eight-month strike.

Since March, Nigerian students have remained at home without access to education like their counterparts in private universities and those studying outside the country.

This has enraged students, who say they will come out en masse to protest if something was not done about the situation.

Soneye Abdul-Azeez, Student Union President of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ogun State, said the funding demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities were valid and must be met by the Nigerian Government.

He said, “Our union is strongly in tandem with ASUU. ASUU demands are genuinely in the interest of public education. So we cannot separate ASUU demands from our demands as students.

“The government irresponsibility is the reason for the poor state of education.

“We will be embarking on mass action in our respective zones.

‘And our demands are simple, that all the demands of ASUU must be met. Bothering on the issue of revitalization fund, Academic allowances for the lecturers, the NEED Assessments and every other demand in the 2009 and 2013 MoU.”

Kanke Musa, a student of the University of Jos, said she would join any protest that ensured she returned to school.

She said, “I support the protest as long as others are ready. This is the second strike since I gained admission and I have already lost one year. What I think is that ASUU and the government are very wicked because if not, I know their children don’t go to the type of schools so that is why they don’t care at all.

“We are ready to resume anytime they call it off.”

Already, momentum is gathering on Twitter towards mobilisation for the protest.

Festus Ogun on Twitter said, “ASUU STRIKE PROTEST WILL HOLD IN LAGOS! For eight months, university students have been languishing at home because of an avoidable strike. FG cannot continue to endanger our future and expect us to be quiet. We’ve started organizing and mobilizing. We are relocating to the street.”

“And I say it again, a country where 90% of its leader’s children are schooling abroad and taking medical treatment abroad cannot and I repeat can never fix your school and your health sector and find lasting solution to their problems. Never. So, let’s stop deceiving ourselves.”

Politics / 2023 Presidency: APC Will Retain Presidency – Gov. Yahaya Bello by edoboy74(m): 9:51pm On Nov 19, 2020
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State says the development strides of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is enough for the party to retain the presidential seat in 2023.

“APC has come to stay. We are developing the country, the people are happy with our programmes, we are touching lives and we are securing the nation,” the governor said when he appeared as a guest on Thursday’s edition of Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He added: “Why won’t they (Nigerians) give us a chance once again to continue to produce the president of this country? APC by the grace of God will produce the next president and sweep across the legislative houses and the governorship across the country.”

While the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had accused the Presidency of political scavenging in the wake of the defection by Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Bello sees the party as no match for the APC.

A Gone Party?

The PDP, he argued, is building castles in the air and does not have what it takes to contend with the ruling party.

“APC is a party of the people, for the grassroots. You can see the exodus. I don’t know what is giving them (PDP) that confidence,” the governor added. “Even though power belongs to God and God gives power to who He wills, at this stage, I can assure you that PDP is gone and is going and going.”

‘Nine To Go’

Bello claimed that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and eight more governors from the PDP would soon join his party, saying that Umahi’s defection was a testimony of the progress in the ruling party.

“I said it long ago, not today when the party (PDP) was going through some challenges; I did say that there are 10 governors from the opposition parties that will join APC.

“We have seen one; one that is even as equal as 10, he has joined us, nine to go. Just mark my words; I don’t lie, I will never lie, and I will never deceive anybody,” the Kogi governor stressed.

Politics / One Week Ultimatum Given By Buhari To Ministers To Submit Reports On Violence by edoboy74(m): 10:53am On Oct 30, 2020
President Muhammadu Buhari has given all his ministers a one-week ultimatum to submit reports of engagements with stakeholders in their various states over the crisis that followed the #EndSARS protests nationwide.

Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, disclosed this on Thursday while speaking on the Channels Television programme, ‘Sunrise Daily’.

Buhari had recently ordered the ministers to go back to their various states and confer with their constituents to douse tension

Adesina said the president ordered a mandatory submission of reports to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation within a week, following Buhari’s discovery that only two ministers had their reports ready as of this week’s FEC meeting.

The directive followed the crisis that trailed the alleged shootings of #EndSARS protesters at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.

Amnesty International and other campaigners had alleged that at least 12 people were killed by soldiers and police in two locations in Lagos after the Lekki shooting.

The Nigerian army had dismissed the reports as “fake news”.

Adesina yesterday said: “I can tell you because there was another Federal Executive Council meeting yesterday (Wednesday), the president asked for briefs from ministers who went out.

“Only two had their reports ready as at yesterday (Wednesday) because some others were still in their respective states still carrying out their assignment.

“So, the president said all of them should turn in their reports through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in the incoming week,” he said.

Asked what Nigerians should expect from the reports, said: “Well, it can only be positive. One, it’ll help us to establish the truth on some things because there are a lot of conjectures, colourations, outright falsehoods, fake news and all that.

“The ministers can come with what is near authentic based on the consultations they are going to make.

“This crowd of people you see going to loot are not necessarily hungry and angry….

“They’re taking advantage of the collaps
