Telecommunications Engineering , communication engineering, information engineering or information engineering methodology in engineering are disciplines to specialise on. All these disciplines involve computer science, control systems, computer engineering and many more. This is where the world is and where it should be in the future in a more advance way, so those that will specialise here can never become irrelevant in the industries. Their service will always be needed. All organizations, companies and in fact the world need viable information to advance. Engineers in these areas are needed to design information systems, to control and monitor such systems. We have not adequately developed in space technology here.
You can work in airports' control room and organization that has control room. The aviation industry need Engineers that specialised in telecommunications and others mentioned above. One of my friends studied Electrical Electronics Engineering here in Nigeria, right now he is doing his masters degree in telecommunications engineering in Germany.
Lastly, make sure you graduate with a good grade if you want to do your masters degree in abroad or advance your career that will skyrocket you to the peak of your career with a knowledge of computer. |

The world is all about digitalisation and it is the future of technological advancement. Telecommunications is a good area of specialization. There are numerous of opportunities out there because the world is all about information and information is key.
As a specialist in that area, you can work in the telecommunications industry e.g MTN, GLO, AIRTEL, ETISALAT etc and a lot of industries are emerging everyday. You still have opportunities in social networks platform e.g NL etc. |

Education › Re: A 2:2 In These Universities May Equal 2:1 Or First Class Of Other Universities by EdoBoy90(m): 11:42am On Sep 30, 2016 |
Futurecrown: So you want to compare that third class University to UNIBEN? Checkmate yourself Boss, even your VC can testify to the Academic acumen of UNIBEST student. Most Ekpoma students are rejected from Mighty UNIBEN. That Much room School! Is like comparing Ohio state University to HARVARD University, better wake from slumber. There is a great lacuna between Rat and Rabbit thou there is similarity. . Academic excellent is not synonymous to structures to some extent. It is the student's desire that determines academic excellent. No university on Earth that doesn't have dullard students in my experience so far both home and abroad. Every student at UNIBEN is not better than every student at AAU ( ur Third Class University as claimed by ur myopic knowledge). There is bound to be probability for ascertaining knowledge. There are dull students at Harvard university but they have done well globally than the First Class or professors from UNIBEN. Graduating from UNIBEN doesn't automatically make you more intelligent than all AAU students. That notion will disappoint you one day by underrating a graduate from AAU. Nowadays, graduates from UNIBEN are jobless too. No AAU graduate has made public announcement on NL that he or she is looking for job like your UNIBEN graduate who graduated with First Class in Mathematics yet he was looking for job instead of using his brain or the knowledge acquired from your "Mighty UNIBEN". I ask myself: " What does UNIBEN impacted in that First Class jobless mathematics graduate from your School?" Nothing! Don't forget your Third Class University that is AAU produced Pastor Chris Oyakhilomhe and Mr. Festus Keyamo ( EFFC popular lawyer) and many more. I have met a lot of UNIBEN graduates that are very dull and also a lot of AAU graduates who are dull too. also, a lot of AAU graduates better than UNIBEN graduates. And UNIBEN graduates better than AAU graduates too. |

OloriAbefe: Since evry1 gat something(s) to say, I have to say my own too. To me, It's partially a complete waste of time, if I had known better earlier ehn, I would have gone for one or two professional courses to be informed and updated. And you wonder y I said partially Well, that was where I met my beloved husband, and as my mother will always say, she said and I quote "God sent me to that school not because of the cert. but to meet my future husband". . Hahahah. So u couldn't get one in university then. You didn't search well that was why |
Education › Re: Do U Feel That Ur University Degree Is A Waste Of Time And Why by EdoBoy90(m): 5:10pm On Sep 24, 2016 |
dblackninja: Hahaha I didn't say you haven't contributed to the society or solved problems, neither did I insinuate that sir. I'm just doing a comparison. Knowing the course I studied wouldn't help anything. But if you must know it's computer science and I don't even remember I have a degree there I generate my money fully online sir, without pains, sweat or waisting precious time. Heck what did I even learn there? Nothing! I left the uni with no programming skills, just loads of textbooks and how to on & shut down a computer Nothing tangible
I learnt the skills I now have elsewhere and online. It was after I left the uni I realised how I wasted lots of time & money. Nigerian university educational system is just wack . Education still helps you in term of reading and writing and to assimilate too during the period you acquired the skills. Hope you are not doing "Yahoo" or "GEE". |

dblackninja: Very good. Thanks for admitting that you use textbooks & manuals when faced with complex problems. A road side mechanic will just use his critical thinking to solve the problem easily.
Don't say what you don't know. We do neat job and that is why we don't touch a customer's car any how. We work with safety and precautions.
There are some vehicles a roadside mechanic can't work on, in this aspect we dwell on more critical thinking than the roadside mechanics. I said we used manual provided by Toyota. Even your phone has manual young man. when purchasing a car, they will give you the car's manual from the manufacturer of that product. Unfortunately, you have not bought one yet.
I hope you know that the first person to ever design a mechanical car didn't grab instructions from a book.
Stop arguing blindly young man, Henry Ford is the first automobile engineer. Go and read his history. Dr. Otto Diesel, go and read his history too. Diesel engine was designed by Dr. Otto Diesel that is where the name "Diesel" was coined from.
Okay you have worked with a road side mech. Very cool. You have shown us that the university didn't teach you anything, but you got your experience from a roadside mech, then used your cert to get a job. Kudos, now I know you think outside the box . Sincerely speaking, you are a layman here so you have nothing to offer. Read my first post. You are just arguing blindly. Which course did you study? let me assess you and know if you have contributed to the society or solved a problem not complex problem. I have contributed to the society and solved complex problems. |
