In principle the church and the state are two different entities in Nigeria. The problem is that the institutions are so weak and people so much in apathy that some crooks disguised as leaders escape with anything.
That being said, the seperation between church and state is not the problem. Nigeria suffers from incompetent leadership in all sectors and regions of the country and no where is that more evident than with hausa people. There are millions of poverty stricken hausa people in the country, illiterate and unskilled , but instead of tackling this problems the political class is busy using these hapless souls as pawns in their quest for money and power. Their ambitions to marry daughters of hausa presidents past and present in fulfillment of some sick childhood fantasy is driving them into madness.

The special one has become the perfect one. But this is an insult to the Italian league, win no. 2 team with 7 men ? Struggle with 6 ?

I totally agree that all parties involved must be brought to book, but why stop at jos ? Till this moment no one has been held accountable for the massacres in bauchi state and even the commission set up to look at the last jos crisis has not presented anything to the country.
And for those saying that the crises could spread to other hausa states in the form of retaliation make me laugh, do you think you harbour more violence in your bellies than Nigerians else where ? Some people are just civil that's why we still have peace in this country but continue pushing and like they say, "one day monkey go go market. . "

Yusufi you must be high on solution like your brothers. The perpetrators in of the kuru killings should be brought to book but what the people who started the trouble should be awarded the Bin Laden medal of honour i guess ?

They're reporting 2 dead but in Nigeria that could be 10 or 15 dead. Just attack and kill people at will and expect the issue to disappear as if we're discussing chickens killed for new year. Even the chickens killed for new year is still being discussed in some families today.

Speaking out against something is not taking action against it. How many times have you seen a mother censor her son in front of guests only for her to hiss and roll eyes after they exit her front door. The staggering number of almajiris on the roads; the deepening level of poverty; the misconception that violence is a monopoly owned by his people; religious sermons of hate telling people that others are the cause of their problems, all these are just part of the fodder that religious intolerance/violence thrives on.

Christ spoke against violence to fellow "human beings". Define a human being for me by 2010 standards.

@real4life at this juncture nobody can say which of the sources is right. The important thing is that only two lives were lost, as long as those lives were not plateau state or ibo lives i'm sure nothing will come of this.

I have watched BBC's own report and it was by far more balanced emphasizing that both groups had been involved in killings. What were you expecting ? That the christians would count how many of them were killed on sunday and monday and retaliate proportionately ?

For over a week i have been shouting for these people to accept education, fight poverty(almajiri culture) and become enlightened. But How many non-muslims in Nigeria have the education , wealth, enlightenment and exposure of Farouq ? I guess my proposed solution to the hausa religious violence problem was wrong all along.

Just Understanding why Wenger's waiting before jumping into market. Song could exit nations cup before wed. and at worst by next weekend so mid-field stress would be eased.
