@babylishus, very good speech. Unfortunately i'm one of those who have made generalisatsions too out of anger and frustrations. Hopefully when the pain subsides we can go back to thinking rationally and tackling the real issues,

@twinskenny. It is the "Organisation for Islamic Conference" that IBB and some elements have been trying to get Nigeria into since 1986. The aim is to bring all Islamic countries under one economic umbrella like the EU, if you're member of the OIC you're in effect saying that you're a muslim country. Of all 14 countries on the US terror watchlist only Cuba is not an IOC country: 1. Algeria 2. Iraq 3. Lebanon 4. Libya 5. Afghanistan 6. Nigeria 7. Pakistan 8. Saudi 9. Somalia 10. Yemen 11. Iran 12. Sudan 13. Syria and 14. Cuba which is there for reasons other than just islamic terrorism. I will bring up my "Islamisation of Nigeria " thread so you can read more.

@adamabdul please Let's help end the religious violence, nepotism, culture of almajiri and encourage people to go to school and respect peoples freedoms and rights like:
* freedom of religion
* Right to an education(real education o ! Not madarasatul)
* childrens rights , a child should not grow on the street begging cos his father wants to keep marrying and procreating though he can't afford it.
* freedom of expression, i should be able to receive criticism without reaching for my suya knife. . . . could you add more ?

Mr trenchcoat, hope you Aljazeera OIC network also tell you that muslims attacked christians in church exactly a week ago and that the kuru retaliations were on tuesday night by christians who lost loved ones two days earlier. The Aljazeera(which we have on our TV bouquet and i watch) is owned by OIC members and it did not report that poor Uni Jos undergraduates were killed though it added at the end of the report that the violence was from both sides. The US was critical of Aljazeera and so help set up the more moderate Alarabiya news channel with less OIC influence. All this information is available for free, but i guess so is education that some people are rejecting or why kill students in every attack ?

These murders though unfortunate were carried out on tuesday night by aggrieved christians who lost loved ones to the attacks launched on them on sunday morning. The OIC and It's cheap instruments did not bother to go and show the churches initially burnt and University of jos students killed that brought about the violence in the first place.
If an attack is launched in kano on christians this morning while in church and ibos are killed i can assure you the amount of hausa deaths in aba will be triple this one mekuxs.

@ ajali , the regions known as North east, North west and North central which is habitated by the Hausa and a collection of other minority tribes is definitely the poorest region of the country. The North central states contain tribes known as the middle belt, middle belt could also be found in some parts of North Eastern and North western states like south of kebbi, south of kaduna and other pockets. It is really not simple to explain but I'll put it like this, the hausa-fulani are predominantly muslim while the middle belt tribes have places where they're predominantly christians like south of Adamawa, south of kaduna and plateau state where we have this problem now. I'll find time to dig up some material for you later on in the week. The hausas also make up the single largest ethnic group at.

grin but seriously the violence is ugly. Christians who were retaliating sunday's attacks just wiped out a hausa village throwing corpse in wells, killing month old babies and old people, it has become madness. I think I'll stick to my football and aethism more closely from now on.
Back to footie hope you're preparing well for CL elimination coming next month.

@Jarus you know we know ourselves from that other place where we really reveal our innermost selves. I've read that Sanusi dissertation he presented at Arewa house myself, but can you really address problems by presentation of papers at symposiums and conferences ?
Is there anything more infuriating than one's rights being taken for granted especially when it comes to religious matters ? of course they say It's the tonic of the mass. Have you ever been in a bus travelling on a four hour journey only for the driver to stop in middle of no where, slip out and tell the passengers while walking away It's time for his prayers ? Secondly i believe the constitution clearly seperates state from religion, but i guess building mosques in government premises doesn't violate that law, or what do you say ? Many of these things occur and every one Let's it pass for the sake of peace; but when individuals who have, to all intents and purposes never known the love of a mother from growing on the streets attack sons, daughters, cousins etc of people who have invested life and money to develop their wards with BOKO, what do you think the reaction to such a loss would be ?

In many of this violent outbursts religion is the main denominator; but it also has to do with 1. Ethnicity 2. Poverty 3. Enlightenment 4. Lack of Education 5. Political manipulation 5. Unemployment, i believe it's over 40% 6. Incompetent leadership.

A more sane human being would have resigned, but cos of the total lack of integrity ingrained in these political office holders they'll cling on tightly so that they can be driven with sirens blaring on the streets of Abuja.

^ wilywily don't forget the OIC(Organisation of Islamic Conference) , why are they not answering the question ?
Why is Yardua trying to complete what IBB started in 1986 by taking us fully into the OIC ? When that happens, it means the King of Saudi can influence the OIC to decide that Ibo should not import from China but Turkey; Yoruba Cocoa should go to Malaysia; Benue or Kogi cement should be sold to Dubai.
Is that not what the OIC charter is talking of, "economic integration of OIC countries" ?

Simple mathematics to solve Man Us woes: Zamalek of Egypt would gladly pay something in the region of £700 k for Berbatov. Sir Alex Ferguson is a high wage earner, so replacing him with Paul Ince/Scholes or Lee Sharpe would be a good business move. Other revenue boosting measures could be taken eg. Two people per seat at Old Trafford would mean 140k thousand-plus paying fans. By so doing ticket prices could be cut by 20% and Utd would still rake up a whopping 60% jump in revenue from ticket sales. Another example is replacing the bottled water players use during matches with pure water, lots of Nigerians in the UK would give technical assistance in that area.

It is not about black or white deities paddylo, after all even the poor devil that is blamed for all the world's atrocities is himself a god to satanists. The fact of the matter is, in our practice of voodoo, juju and other traditional belief systems do we encroach into the of unlawful.

That is where is the question mark lies, if it discovered that the bones and skulls are remains of people murdered by the cult then the police have a case in their hands.

Mekuxz, do you know that Nigeria is a secular country with freedom of religion ? So by long as no laws enshrined in our constitution were contravened by the group- unless say they involved in murders- then they as legit as any other religious group. You live on a land, pay your taxes, don't violate human rights, don't commit crime ; and you're safe from any liligation.
