dayokanu: Most people who criticize Gomez cant make a coherent argument about it.

He doesnt score enough? No he is only 3rd behind Messi and Ronaldo. for 2 iseasons back to back

He scores against minnows? Almost every striker score more vs minnows than vs Big teams yet they want Gomez to be different
Lie, Van Persie scored against Man U, Chelsea, Man City and Rotten ham at will in his last two seasons at Arsenal. Falcao scored at the Camp Nou last night, wonderful goal.

He doesnt score in crucial games? Yet in the last 2 yrs Gomez has scored vs Man City, Napoli, Inter, Madrid, Holland, Portugal who else is left?
B. Dortmund, BVB and Borussia Dortmund

He doesnt score vital goals? His goals vs Inter, Portugal Madrid were the teams winning goals. And vs City, Holland he scored multiples

In the last 2 years He scored vs every CL team he played against except Chelsea
Yet when Germany needed him against Italy at the Euros he was no where to be found. When Bayana needed him against Chelsea He was absolutely useless. Compare that to Drogba who destroyed Barca and Bayern in consecutive fixtures.

He didnt score vs Chelsea? In one game he didnt score? Does it count that the World best player Messi hasnt scored vs Chelsea in almost 7 matches?
Yes it counts, Barca still Managed to win UCLs with Messi destroying the opposition in the Final, what did Gomez do at the finals played on his home ground.

folushowil: Good morning peeps, I drive a mazda 3 2005 and noticed that the ac started making a whining sound when switched on, it was still cooling well. I got a technician to look at it and he said the compressor is faulty and this was caused by a bad condenser. He's suggesting replacing the present radiator with a double cell radiator which I dnt agree with. Can anyone please recommend an ac technician who knows his job and doesn't do the usual "double cell solution" as is common with other technicians. Also, can the condenser be repaired.

Thanks.
Sorry I didn't see your request earlier. My A C guy probably doesn't live in the same town you do, I'm sure you're in either lagos or abj

What I'll advise you to do is suck it up and visit the best Auto A C shop in town without fear of the cost. Those roadside guys could leave you coming back to fix one thing or the other till you hate your Car.

PoliticsStriking Workers Beat-up Commissioner In Plateau by edoyad(op): 9:15am On Dec 14, 2012
Striking workers laid siege on the Plateau State House of Assembly yesterday and beat up a commissioner and a special assistant for Governor Jonah Jang who were heading to the legislature for a budget presentation session.

Governor Jang was scheduled to present the 2013 budget to lawmakers, but protesting workers who were on their third day of strike over wages marched towards the assembly premises apparently to disrupt the process.

Agriculture commissioner Steven Barko and Jang’s special assistant on Youth Development Samuel Kwamkur were ambushed as they drove towards the assembly complex, Daily Trust learnt.

Angry workers intercepted the two officials around the Plateau State Specialists Hospital and molested them as well as damaged Kwamkur’s car.

Daily Trust learnt that Barko was pulled out of his car and beaten up. He was rescued by the Police.

Earlier, speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. John Clark, was smuggled into the house premises by his press secretary Mrs. Nandak Chinle.

Chinle drove the speaker in his private Toyota car, with registration number AH-626-SHD, instead of his official Prado Jeep. Clark was seen entering his office through the back door that leads into the main chamber, instead of the one that links him directly to his office.

Protesting workers blocking the Joseph Gomwalk (State) Secretariat gate were earlier forcefully dispersed by security operatives firing teargas.

The angry workers then headed towards the state assembly complex but were blocked by the police at the junction of the specialist hospital along old Bukuru Road. The police cordoned all the entry routes to the assembly.

This incident prompted police reinforcement, including the newly deployed Police Commissioner Chris Olakpe, in strategic areas of the city.

However, the state president of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Samson Mafuyai, told Daily Trust the union was not aware of the attack and molestation of the commissioner.

“For the past three days we have been staging a very peaceful demonstration at the secretariat, unfortunately today we got there and the police barricaded the road and started throwing tear gas canisters at us,” he said.

“All this while we have been peaceful, we never molested anyone but today the police just started attacking us.”

But the state government confirmed the attack on the Agriculture commissioner and Jang’s assistant, saying the action was condemnable and would not solve the workers’ grievances.

In a statement titled, ‘Peaceful conduct, not violence will lead to negotiated settlement,’ Information commissioner Yiljap Abraham said the two officials were ambushed by protesting workers.

“It is to be noted that part of the beauty of democracy is the exercise of various forms of freedom as spelt out and guaranteed under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the freedom to peaceful assembly,” he said.

“However, government has noted with great dismay the continuing trend of some protesters under the organized labour to disregard the need of the generality of the people of Plateau to let peace reign in every part of the state. Rather, we have seen an unfortunate exhibition of intimidation and attacks on peace loving people as witnessed today close to the assembly premises.

“Government therefore condemns this resort to violence which resulted in attacks on two government officials who were ambushed by organised labour close to the assembly premises.

“Such brazenness, arbitrariness and outright disregard to the laws of the land will not build but stunt our march to strengthening democratic governance.

“Government appeals to citizens to remain calm but alert, and to go about their lawful business. Security agencies remain conscious of their responsibilities to maintain law and order in every part of the state.”

Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer Mr Emmanuel Abuh told Daily Trust that nobody was arrested so far over the attack on the officials.

Jang later yesterday gained access into the state assembly and presented the 2013 budget estimates to the lawmakers, the Information commissioner.

“The Plateau State 2013 budget has been successfully laid before the state House of Assembly. Governor Jonah Jang did this today after he was ushered into the chambers of the house in a seating presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon John Clark Dabwan,” Abraham said.

“The Plateau State Government wishes to place on record it’s appreciation to the Speaker and members of the House who have stood resolutely in discharging their constitutional duty to the people of Plateau State. Government salutes their courage.”

Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has pledged to stick to his policy of developing players within the Premier League club rather than splashing out large sums of money on transfer fees. Wenger, whose team were dumped out of the League Cup on Tuesday by fourth tier Bradford City, faces the possibility of losing England winger Theo Walcott after Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie and Samir Nasri left to earn more money elsewhere.

In an interview with FourFourTwo magazine, the Frenchman agreed it was difficult when top players walked away, especially when they were reaching their prime but said he would not make drastic changes to the transfer policy. "I think we'll stop that happening (players walking away) because we have a good young generation of English players coming through and we'll try to build the team around them," he said. "I'm confident they will stay and commit to the club.

My regret is that we already had great teams in place that could compete at the top. You could feel that the potential was there, but now it feels like we're starting again and it's frustrating. "My vision is to continue to produce a large majority of the players from within the club. I want to buy players who can bring top-class pedigree from outside, but I think our target is to produce players who integrate into our s

PoliticsTension, Community Leaders Trade Words Over Burnt Living Faith Church In Ilorin. by edoyad(op): 9:55am On Dec 13, 2012
Christian and Muslim leaders trade words over burnt Church in Ilorin The Christian community in Ilorin has accused the Secretary of Nigerian Inter Religious Committee (NIREC) and former Vice-Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Professor Isiaq Oloyede of setting a church ablaze over land dispute.

Members of the Living Faith Church (a branch of Winners Chapel) along Airport road in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital woke up Monday morning to find their new church razed down by unknown people.

The new church building which was constructed about two months ago has been an issue of litigation between the church and members of Muslim Students Society of Nigeria in the city. While briefing the press on the issue, the state secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend Cornelius Fawenu alleged that the former Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin had thrice threatened to deal with the worshippers, claiming that the land belonged to Muslims.

The clergy further alleged that Professor Oloyede had also threatened to dislodge them by all means if possible.

Reverend Fawenu also added that several efforts have been made to avert trouble as the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the state governor and the state Commissioner of Police were contacted to avert trouble.

Reacting, Professor Isiaq Oloyede fuming with anger denied ever being involved in the fracas and he threatened to sue the leadership of Christians in the state for damaging his name. As the secretary of Nigerian Inter Religious Committee, Professor Oloyede said he will never be involved in what could lead to crisis in whatever form and urged Christians in the state to avoid dragging his name into mud.

A visit to the church reveals the total destruction of musical instrument and chairs in the church as remnants of burnt equipments litter the surrounding.

dont u know u are not allowed to say such things here?

fyi arsene us the only coach in d world who can coach arsenal. even in his grave he will coach arsenal.

dont u know that ARSENE KNOWS?
Yes I know, Arsene knows best. so what if he has never won a European title after 16 years at Arsenal? The 15 consecutive UCL qualifications more than make up for that. Infact look at a vision I had :
An interview with Theo Walcott in 2025.

Interviewer: Theo you're welcome to EPL magazine.

Theo : Thanks for having me Brad.

Interviewer: So Theo what are you up to these days?

Theo: Well I've been busy with my Charity, one ball for every kid. We try to put kids on the right path, keep them focussed, and letting them know it's not really important to win a race, rather, ensuring that the school makes a positive return on investment is paramount.

Interviewer: Wow! That's really deep Theo

Theo: Thanks Brad. You I was fortunate to be led by people who have an insight into such things. Look at me, did I win a trophy at Arsenal ? No. But in my two decades there the Stock of Arsenal F C performed well above the market average. Isn't that something to be grateful about ?

Interviewer: Yes it is Theo. Are you still in contact with the other guys?

Theo: Yes we very much are in Contact. Vermalaen works at a book store while Sagna is a hair Stylist in Nice. You know we were not the greedy type so we made do with anything the club gave us. I work at a fast food place just down the road .

Interviewer: And Arsene?

Theo: O the boss will be at his Monte Carlo residence this weekend. His Yacht was just fitted with Titanium reinforcements so that caused a delay. He'll be there for week before returning Aruba, he owns a small Island there.
