The Nigerian Army has put a bounty on the head of Boko Haram leader,Abubakar Shekau, as they promise to reward N3million to anyone who gives credible information about the terrorist group leader.

A statement released by the Nigerian Army reads;

The Nigerian Army will give out Three Million Naira(N3,000,000.00k) cash reward for any credible information that leads to the arrest of Abubakar Shekau, the fugitive factional Boko Haram terrorists’ group leader.Anybody with such credible information can either contact the Military Command and Control Centre, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, any military location, security agencies or call the Nigerian Army Information and Call Centre 193.

Two fulani brothers, Umar and Musa Ali has been arrested by the Nassarawa state police command for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl at Tudun Lambaga in the Eggon Hills area. The victim, identified as Esther, was reportedly ambushed and assaulted by the suspects on her way to the hospital with her brother's wife on the 16th of September 2017.


During an interview with Northern City News in Lafia, Esther revealed that she was accompanied by four other people when the incident happened. She said she and the others had earlier ignored the boys when they approached them, but the duo subsequently ambushed them at a lonely and secluded part of the road where they threatened her with a knife and cutlass.

Esther said;

“I was crying and pleading and my brother’s wife was also pleading with them. She even removed her clothes saying that she was sick and that she was on her way to the hospital.
“They said they were not interested in her, that they wanted me and they must have $ex with me. I refused to have $ex with them, but after they threatened me with a knife and machete, I had to succumb.
The first one raped me by the roadside, while the second one carried me to the bush and also raped me,”

Their is currently a fire outbreak at a gas plant in Ghana, Accra located near the University of Ghana's main gate, there has been no casualties reported but the fire affected two filling stations and residents in the area.

Ifeanyi Dike, an undergraduate student from the University of Port Harcourt, who escaped from the custody of Rivers state police command on Sunday, August 19th after he was arrested for raping, killing and cutting off vital body parts of an eight-year-old girl, Chikamso, in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, has been rearrested.

Ifeanyi who had been on the run, was arrested in Jos, Plateau state where he was hiding. The state commissioner of police, Zaki Ahmed, said the suspect was arrested this morning by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in the state.

He is currently being transported to Rivers state where he would be tried for murder and rape.

Recall that the police officer who was on duty when he escaped from custody has been dismissed and is now being tried for conspiracy and obstruction of justice.

A suspected cable thief went to meet his maker after an electric pole fell on him and trapped him while he was trying to steal cable wire at Aro Ngwa, Aba, Abia State.
