oneolajire: Ogun Govt Urges FG To Secure Release Of Detained Nigerian In Benin Police Net Channels Television Updated July 2, 2021
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun at a briefing. The Ogun State government has called on the Federal Government to immediately secure the release of a Nigerian citizen currently languishing in detention in the Benin Republic.
In a press statement on behalf of the state governor, Dapo Abiodun signed by his chief press secretary, Kunle Somorin also called on the national boundary commission to step up action to demarcate Nigeria’s border with the Republic of Benin.
He however called on Nigerian security agents to promptly ensure the security of border communities from external invasion.
Last week, pastor Kunle Garb, a resident of Igbokofi village in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun state was abducted at the village market, by gendarmes who crossed illegally into the Nigerian territory to carry out the daring act, after scaring away traders and other Nigerians at the market.
Pastor Garb, an activist, who has been consistently campaigning against the incessant harassment of Nigerians by the Beninese in attempts to forcefully annex the Nigerian territory was taken away in a Gestapo manner by the armed security agents from the neighboring country.
He has allegedly been charged to a court and remanded under inhuman conditions in the Benin Republic and prevented from having access to his lawyers, doctors, and members of his family.
In a protest to the Federal Government, Gov. Dapo Abiodun narrated the ordeal of Nigerians living in the borders towns of the State and Benin Republic. He also called for prompt action by relevant Federal authorities to prevent further harassment of Nigerian citizens and encroachment on the Nigerian territorial borders.
“The Governor also called on the National Boundary Commission to step up action to clearly demarcate Nigeria’s international borders with the Benin Republic, while calling on Nigeria’s security agents to properly secure Nigerians in the border communities and our country’s borders with the neighbouring country” he concluded.

Onyi90: Good evening great minds of Nairaland. Please i need your honest contribution. I currently work with a private clearing company that pays me weekly allowance of #30,000 - #35,000 and a monthly salary of #60,000 totalling 180 - 200 thousand every month. However, I was among successful shortlisted candidates of a paramilitary agency recruitment exercise of the FG as a BSC holder. I made enquiry on the start up pay and discovered is around #75,000- #83,000 for my level entry. I don't know if i should go for the federal job with a lesser pay or remain with my current job. NB: Date to resume to the training camp for the FG job is just around the corner. Honest thought are welcome.
there no paramilitary on that level all na above 100k .the fgn pay is not static it moves
Williampisces: News getting to us now that, Nnamdi Kanu said he's not doing again because, some porn videos of him were seen in his devices and some other incriminating evidences against the state... More details shortly
too late after instigating murder of 60 police men .U must be tried fairly. Very fair .
Majority of ESN Members are jobless and very agile we should allow them civil defence. The kanu game plan is over and he has no other strategy to keep defaruding his magas in diaspora.
GodHatesBigots: Let me tell you, I have followed MNK for only 4-5 months but I can tell you, he is already 'dead', he does not give a shit about death - a true warrior.
If he dies it will be interesting to see how events unfold , but if he survives and is brought to court expect him to be screaming and shouting and maybe even punching DSS officials.
What is he doing now ? Probably raining curses on DSS and Buhari - LMAO. Oh yes, they will torture him, even beat him and then there will be huge problems with the UK government and others. Remember he had renounced his Nigerian citizenship eons ago.
The movie has just begun, let nobody predict the ending.
Gregorian2020: There are a lot of factors that are causing the endless battle between the Nigeria government and the Fualni Herdsmen, Boko Haran and the Bandits in the north. And from the way it is going it seems that the battle is yet to finish due to the wealth a lot of people are making from it.
A man who is supplying Fulani herdsmen, Boko Haran and Bandits guns has just been arrested by the Nigeria police. The man who confessed to the act said he has been supplying the above mentioned terrorist groups for a very long time before he was caught.
When he was ask what is his benefit for transporting the guns he said every move he made is #250000, and most done twice a week.
DaddyGoo: Agreed, criminals need hard treatment. Consider the below though.
Unless proven otherwise, the accused terrorists and bandits are Nigerians too right?
As a Nigerian, there MUST be a basic minimum of Rights you have, just as it is in Canada. Or isn't it so?
In summary, Trudeau will never say he's speaking to anyone in any dirty language.
He'll simply get the mounties, whatever local police force and if necessary the Defence Forces to do their jobs with a minimum of fuss and drama.
That's one of the reasons why you found Canada attractive enough to relocate to, and Nigeria repulsive enough to run from, despite the latter being your home.
P.S I have lived abroad before, for a long time!
he doesn't face same kind of challenge s Nigeria face .go and find out how Sri Lanka did with Tamil tigers.when canada have large scale violence done inside canada leading to killing of 60 security personel and destruction of 100 public property and release of deadly criminal then we know the type of rhetoric the prime minister of Canada will use. Ask wj Bush and 911
presidency: 1. Good morning gentlemen and welcome to this press conference. As you are aware, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has been rearrested and repatriated to Nigeria to resume his trial. This was made possible through the collaboration of Nigerian security and intelligence agencies.
2. Kanu, who is facing an 11-count charge of treason, treasonable felony, terrorism and illegal possession of firearms, among others, jumped bail in 2017 and left the country. On Tuesday, Kanu was re-arraigned in court and ordered to be remanded in the custody of the DSS, while the case was adjourned till July 26-27, 2021
3. Gentlemen, the Federal Government wishes to commend the Nigerian security and intelligence agencies, who collaborated to re-arrest the proscribed IPOB leader in one of the most classic operations of its type in the world. We commend the professionalism, diligence, patriotism and painstaking efforts of our security and intelligence agencies. We also thank the sister international agencies that collaborated with us to pull off this arrest.
4. It will interest Nigerians to know that for over two years, our security and intelligence agencies were on the trail of the proscribed IPOB leader as he lived a five-star life across several countries, travelling on chartered private jets, living in luxury apartments and turning out in designing clothes and shoes. Of course, as we all saw, he was wearing an attire made by Fendi, a luxury Italian fashion brand, when he was arrested.
5. We can tell you that the forensic investigation carried out so far has revealed a treasure trove of information on the proscribed IPOB leader and his collaborators. While the investigation continues, we assure you that none of the collaborators, irrespective of their standing in the society, will be spared. They will all face the full wrath of the law for their activities that challenge our nation's sovereignty and threaten its unity. No one, no matter how highly placed, is bigger than the country.
6. It is interesting that many are suddenly calling for a fair trial for Kanu as if he didn't get one before he decided to jump bail and flee. However, I can assure you that the fair deal that Kanu denied many of the victims of the violence which he willfully instigated through his broadcasts and tweets will not be denied him.
7. Finally, there have been speculations on how this re-arrest was pulled off and in which country the hitherto fugitive leader of the proscribed IPOB was nabbed. What we can tell you, once again, is that the re-arrest was made possible by the diligent efforts of our security and intelligence agencies, in collaboration with countries with which we have obligations. We continue to respect and honour the obligations.
8. Gentlemen, we thank you most sincerely for your kind attention.
that senator if the dot go dey fear now .collaborator
Not all of us that visit Nairaland are lazy and poor you know.
I wish you and your relations well, and pray sincerely that this language we are all being spoken to in ceases as I honestly feel it unnecessary in most cases

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), has said handcuffing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, self-acclaimed leader of the secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), will not stop the agitation for the disintegration of Nigeria.
The Catholic priest, who spoke during a sermon, said even if the Nigerian Government handcuffs hundreds of secessionists, the agitation would continue due to hardship in the land.
Recall that after over two years of man-hunt, the Federal Government on Tuesday disclosed that it has re-arrested Nnamdi Kanu.
The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, who confirmed the development, said he was re-arrested by a combined team of Nigerian and foreign security agents in a coordinated interception.
The FG, through the Minister of information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, on Thursday addressed newsmen on the development but maintained silence on the country that the fugitive was nabbed.
Mbaka, who attributed the current agitation in Southeast (Biafra) and the Southwest (Oduduwa) to hardship ravaging the entire nation, alleged that the Southeast Governors influenced Kanu’s fall.
He said, “Even if they put handcuffs on hundreds of Nigerians, agitation will not stop.
Handcuffing them will even increase the agitation. “You cannot tie people down when they can not afford what to eat.
School fees in Enugu are at the highest level. And parents, after suffering to train their children, the children will still be at home. “The agitation will not stop just because some people are handcuffed.
So I asked our leaders to sit down and not sell their people.
“Don’t sell your sons because you are governors today.
Don’t sell your sons and daughters because of political promises you may not know the outcome in the future”.
after not getting contract from FGN.wait once the swine republic come in force kanu will give you food contract to feed 10m refugees

MakotoShishio: The Hisbah, an agency saddled with the responsibility of enforcement of Shariah doctrine in Kano State, on Wednesday, announced ban on use of mannequins to display clothes by tailors, supermarkets and boutique owners in the state.
This was just as the agency warned that the agency would embark on raiding of those places to remove them, describing the use of the mannequins for advert purposes as idolatery.
Commander of the state Hisbah board, Sheikh Aroun ibn Sina, who announced the ban in the state, added that the use of mannequins by tailors, boutique owners and others contravened the provision of Islamic injunctions.
According to him: “Hisbah prohibits the use of mannequins at shops, commercial and private residences and other public places. This violates Islamic provisions, it is also responsible for immoral thoughts among some members of the public, all these are against Islam.
“We have divided Kano into five areas for the monitoring and implementation of the ban across the state.”
He also said that the agency would embark on sensitisation of the people to educate them on how Islam frowns on the use of the mannequins, while the agency will send its officials to apprehend and prosecute offenders.
insidenaijasblog: Unknown gunmen attacked the Soka Ibadan residence of Yoruba Nation Agitator, Sunday Adeyemo better known as Sunday Igboho in the early hours of today July 1, Newspremises has learnt.
Newspremises recalled that Igboho's house was first attacked in the same area on April 26, 2021.
According to the media aide of the agitator, Olayomi Koiki, the gunmen adorning military uniforms carried out the attack at about 1am. Igboho was however not in his residence at the time of the attack.
Koiki said during the attack, Igboho's G-wagon, Prado SUV, some valuable properties including furniture, and windows were destroyed. He said bullet holes were found in cars parked in the premises while bloodstains were seen at the premises.
It was also alleged that some persons in the house including a close ally of Igboho identified as ‘Lady K’, were whisked away.
The state police command is yet to comment on this incident.

The plan is located in the Freezones Enclave in Tema.
President Akufo-Addo of Ghana commissioned the plant yesterday (Tuesday, June 29, 2021), saying the development will help make the acquisition of new vehicles by Ghanaians more affordable as well as enable public sector workers to be able to afford and purchase locally assembled vehicles.
Reacting to the development via his Instagram account on Wednesday, Reno Omokri said;

My friend who is a US citizen, single, no kids, no wife, and has been working in the US for close to 10 years. Things have gone well and he was planning to settle down this August. So he came to Nigeria about one and half years ago to do introduction and engage his high school sweetheart. Note, this is also when they officially / seriously started dating . All has been well, and the both of them, their families were preparing for the wedding in August. However, last week he just discovered that his fiancee recently went to visit her ex boyfriend. When he confronted her, she said she went because she was bored, and she refused afterwards to change her phone number (he wanted to stop them communicating), saying she didn't sleep with her ex, and she only went for a hangout in his house.
My friend has cancelled the wedding as we speak, and everybody is begging him to re-consider. Between, the lady's age is within the range of 33 to 36. And my guy is between 37 to 40. He is confused as we speak, because he is taking a hard line on the issue, he doesn't want to start his marriage life on a wrong foundation. At the same time, he is feeling hurt because of her unseriousness.
