There are no definite rules on how one should live his/her life. There's no best standard for life, rules to life is relative. One may go contrary to what is written by the OP and has no regrets. Live your life the best way u can. 1 Like |

What some of you don't understand is that some of the economic policies and theories that's applicable in More Developed Countries like US, UK and other European countries is not applicable to Less Developed Countries( most countries in Africa, southern America and Asia) because of the following reasons: one of it is 1. In a country like US, when there's an increased in govt expenditures, it has a positive effect on their economy like increased in employment because the level of production of goods and services is more than the level of its demand, so one way to balance this is to increase govt expenditures, now by increasing govt spending on eg salaries, transfer of payment etc the industries with its capital resources will try all possible means to meet the required demand , thereby increasing employment In Less Developed Countries LDC increased in govt expenditures has a negative effect as the revenues from these LDCs is not large enough enough to meet the government expenditures due to inefficient tax system, low savings, low investment etc and because of these the LDCs borrow to fund the government expenditures (budget), now the the level of output/supply is not enough to meet the demands due to non availability of capital resources, this leads to inflation, unemployment etc. Because govt in LDCs do not investment much in industrialisation. Investment in both Agricultural and industrial sectors are important for Economic development/growth but it's not found in LDCs countries as it's main source of income lies on primary production. MDCs invest more on capital resources than LDCs. Therefore increasing salaries, transfer of payment etc is good for a MDCs because they have all it ( available supply) takes to meet up with the demand, but it's different for LDCs, so any increase in govt spending will cause increase in price of goods and services because LDCs does not have the available supply to match/equal the demand of the people 4 Likes 1 Share |

The standard for good life is subjective. What may be consider as a good life for Mr A might not be for Mr B. Well, mine might be having d resources to live a comfortable life, a good income, a good house, car, health, be able to send my children to one of d best schools, travalling abroad for vacation etc |

Education / Is Schooling Up to The Tertiary Level Important In Nigeria As It Used To Be?? by Educonomist: 9:36am On Oct 17, 2020 |
Looking at Nigeria can one really say schooling upto the Tertiary level is important. One of the major reasons for going to the Higher institution is be useful to yourself and d society through d impaction of the mental and practical skills acquired in the University, Poly or Coll of Edu to the society, likewise those who decided not to attain d Tertiary Education but d Non Formal Education ( Learning of skills, Trade etc ). So, considering the Nigeria factors, a graduate of a particular Discipline or Profession who ends up doing other things apart from what He/She studied in School just wasted the years and resources spent in becoming a graduate not because he's doing other things as means of living but because that person didn't utilize what He/She was trained for in the Higher institution, but this is Nigeria anything goes!!! a graduate of pharmacy doing a Bank job, graduate of Engineering teaching in a secondary school, a graduate of law who engages in Commercial Transportation etc and other graduates who ended up learning Tailoring, Barbing, Shoe making amongst others in order to survive just wasted their years in the Tertiary institution. Is it not a total waste of time, If your major reason for going to school is be called a graduate and ends up doing things apart from what you studied, wouldn't it be better if that person maybe after secondary School decided in learning any skills or trade outside the four walls of Higher institution... with these can one really say attaining Tertiary Education in Nigeria is important as it used to be in the 70s, 80s n 90s?? Gone are the days that going to School makes one rich, although it favors some people PS: A graduate of a Tertiary institution(Formal Education) isn't better than anyone who decided to attain the Non Formal Education... There's a difference between Education n Schooling |
Education / Re: Bulk Of Education Budget Spent On Public Universities’ 10,500 Professors – FG by Educonomist: 12:29pm On Oct 08, 2020 |
Sometimes I wondered how I found myself in this country. A country that can't give much importance to some basic things( Education, Health, Security n other basic amenities) that affect the least citizens, ohh| why would they feel what d pple go thru, when thier children are schooling in abroad, getting better health care in abroad, surround themselves with heavily armed security men. Haa Nigeria My Country. Even ASUU doesn't care about the students, their major reason for always going on strike has been based on salaries not lookin at d interest of d students. |
