Education / Re: But WAEC Is No Longer What It Used To Be. Nigeria Has Happened To WAEC. by Educonomist: 4:03pm On May 04, 2022
I don't like the way most Nigerians see corrupt practices as norm,, it's annoying. What pained me most is a lecturer dishing out answers to some set of students for a course he taught in the class in the exam hall, at that moment I knew the education system in Nigeria is gone. This same lecturer will be forming "Mr integrity" when teaching in the class, my respect for him decline for such corrupt act.
Some students in my class reserve money for sorting of courses during exam period. People hardly take education serious

People are fond of just making this statement. Is the skill free or you need money to acquire it?
This is what some don't understand.. like I for instance,I would have love to learn some digital skills to aid my teaching profession after graduation as an Education student, but I don't have the resources to get a laptop or pay for some certifications. Most of my monthly allowance is spent on food due to the high prices on food. I can't even save cry cry cry

Does poverty lead to depression and frustration? I have been poor too, but I wasn't depressed or frustrated because of it.

Why are the youths of nowadays becoming so depressed and frustrated the moment there is no money in their accounts?

Can't they just be patient and control their emotions as I used to do? Is it because most times of them are into drugs, fròlicking, and gambling?

Why always looking for someone to abuse when they're frustrated?

Are we to blame Buhari for this or their laziness and entitlement mentality?

If someone like Portable, Mr. Zazoo can make it, anyone can. It's just a matter of time. You don't need to abuse others or act frustrated to prove your state of mind.

Money goes to those who think! It doesn't matter if you're mad, controversial, or calm. As long as you think and take action in the right direction, it will come to you.
At what age do you start making it... Depression may likely set in for some guys in their late 20s and early 30s who hasn't achieved much
But I don't understand a young guy of 18,19 or early 20s getting depressed just because he couldn't afford to live flashy life...

Thanks Educonomist and NDSMELODY... The phrase "on any cash purchase per year" made me think the 15% discount would just be ignored or something, since the distributors didn't make full cash purchase (I mean, they didn't pay in full).

Do you have any thoughts, pls?
When you observe the statement,, there's " cash purchase" and "cash payments". The cash purchase for X n Y are 1.25 million and 2.5million and cash payments of N550k and 3 quarters respectively. The 15% discount can't be ignored and it's on the cash purchase on any year. The balance (which is the discounted cash purchase minus the actual cash payments) don't have much effect here as the profit for that year would be from the total amount of sales realized(net income/revenue) minus the cost of production

Okay... Nice. I really appreciate you for taking your time.

Pls I'd like to see your workings.

If the the total sales tax is on the cash payments (550,000 & 1,875,00) the the sales tax to the government is 121,250.. The profit then becomes 7.15%

Mario1989:
My question to ASUU is, are they suppose to demand for money or demand that FG
should put all these things (UTAS, infrastructure) in place?
I believe that if FG release this money to them, we will end up hearing stories of
MISAPPROPRIATED FUNDS and later EFCC stepping in to investigate some of these
ASUU officials...
If ASUU are truly fighting for a better university system, then they should demand for
these things to be put in place by the FG and not demand for the money...
Even if the Govt give ASUU the money demanded, ASUU will embark on another strike in 2/3 years to come.. It has become a "festive strike"

Romance / Re: 95% Of Men Don't Know How To Make A Woman Cum. by Educonomist: 10:27pm On Apr 03, 2022
Isn't it funny how some ladies want everything from guys, from attention, love, material stuff and sex . Even the sex which some ladies claimed to be wat they can offer to guys to compensate for all the things the guy has done for them may end the relationship if the said guy can't satisfy the girl. So most girls want everything to themselves, the only thing some ladies gat true feelings and can sacrifice for is their children. Great Respect to all the men out there because it's not easy to be a man and also respect to the ladies who're supportive to their husband.
Gracias!!!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Job Interviews And The State Of Education In Nigeria by Educonomist: 5:09pm On Mar 31, 2022
Nigeria's educational sector is faulty due to the problems in pre-primary, primary and secondary education. One who has a faulty foundation in his/her primary and secondary education would find it difficult to assimilate in tertiary education. There are some undergraduates that copied in most of the semester's exams from 100L to 400L. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a lecturer rendering assistant to some set of students by giving out answers secretly in the course he took for that semester in the exam hall.

If you are one of the affected undergraduate and not from rich family,it’s better you go learn work ,trade or any viable skill for now and forget about this junkies.
As it’s stands now,Nigeria university is not for the poor except you want to waste your destiny.
Go learn work or any skill
True, but to learn any viable skill right now requires money

Romance / Re: Why Are Good Behaviors Hardly Appreciated? by Educonomist: 12:24pm On Feb 13, 2022
pansophist:
To conclude, you must integrate your shadows, meaning that to become whole, you must be good, not nice. It is the killing of the innocent naivety that is natural in you, to transmogrify into someone that is grounded. You can't strengthen one, without the other, they go hand in hand. So if you ever wonder why nice people suffer unnecessarily, it's because they lack the ability to be bad, and can only complain without actually facing their aggressor squarely and deal him a heavy blow. We are basically animalistic in motivations, although we wear a nice garment called civility, but generally humans are animals like the wild. If you see the world like this, you'll know how to live well in it.
Wow!! You've made good points...

Because being nice is seen has a weakness, and nobody respects a nice man
How is niceness towards another seen as a sign of weakness.. people are naturally nice. Eg. Like my roommate here in school, when were we in school hostel, because of he brought many food stuff to school, other roommates took advantage of it , some ate his food, until it got finished and I adviced him never to be over too nice to people
