GeeKudi: Well, leaders are drawn from the citizens. Generally, Nigerians are saints only when the opportunity to be corrupt has not presented itself. Ozekohme is an anti corruption crusader. He could have contested and won election on the basis of his activism. How did China get to their current level.? It is through the efforts of the CCP. Can you say APC and PDP are like CCP? |

No Ovamboland: While it is true all those leakages must be plugged and public revenue shored up. That will be enough to hit the mark
There are no countries in the world even half our size that is dependent on mineral export sales almost wholly to run their economy. Minerals commodity prices that are unstable can have damaging effects on such an economy. Taxation of income is the surest and most stable source of public funds.
To have similar revenue buffers like UAE, Nigeria will need to produce and export 70m barrels of oil daily, now we manage to produce1,7m barrels. Where is the market to absorb 70m? From 1960 to date, the loot from the politicians and military is more than 1 Trillion dollars! If the living politicians and military personnels return 50% of their loot;Nigerian forex reserve can get up to 400 billion dollars within a space of 2 years. |

Heavy bids show solid demand and accumulation, while the tight spread suggests balance. ₦1.90 looks well supported; a volume push could see a test of ₦1.92+. awesomeJ: @Mankind2024.
You should add the core factor to this first bank story you've been writing.
Many posts on it, yet not once have you mentioned Otedola's acquisition drive.
You make it seem like the only reason the stock has been climbing is cos it's solid.
That's not a complete story, in fact it's almost misleading.
If you think Access will have the same jump in the next 18 months solely based on results, you might be very wrong.
Some people take what you write very seriously, you shouldn't leave out core contexts like that. The price appreciation in First Bank is mostly artificial and it was brought about by core insiders like Ote.! Same can be said about Ellah Lakes; the massive price appreciation is not as a result of any atom of fundamental qualities but was initiated by the insiders or promoters of Ellah lakes. For the now,the major investors or insiders in ACCESSCORP do not want the price to appreciate.I think insiders are still buying from the secondary market and some of the insiders will get a large chunk from the forth coming private placement of ₦40 billion. Then when it is time, the insiders will surely bring about massive price appreciation of ACCESSCORP. |

SonofElElyonRet: Access Holdings Plc has secured shareholder approval to raise up to N40 billion in fresh equity capital through a private placement.
The lender disclosed in a corporate filing with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on Thursday.
The filing, signed by the company secretary and a director, disclosed that the approval was granted at the company’s Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held virtually on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
At the virtual EGM, members endorsed a sweeping set of resolutions authorising the board to execute the capital raise, restructure the company’s share capital, and engage selected investors. This ₦40 billion capital private placement is definately insiders or those close to insiders trying to get large shares of ACCESSCORP at cheap price! Now I know why the price of ACCESSCORP went down from ₦28 to ₦20. After the fund raising, the share price will definitely move from ₦20 to like ₦30. |
