Without any doubt divorce in marriages between Igbo partners or an Igbo lady to a man from another tribe constitute the highest rate of divorce in Nigeria. I recently watched a video where a Nigerian lady who reside in the UK said about 90% of divorce in Nigerian marriages in the UK involve Igbo women.

Igbo men are the main cause of divorce in marriages involving Igbo ladies. Why? They believe money is everything (the beginning and end) in the relationship. Since they mostly worship money, they also believe everyone worship money or should worship money.

Igbo men are the men who sold the mentality of transactional relationship and marriage to their women.

Igbo men are men that believe with money you can marry a lady against her wish. An Igbo man will approach a lady for marriage and the lady will clearly tell her NO to his marriage proposal but the man will go to any length to spend money in order to lure the lady into marriage. He can spend heavily on the ladies family members, open business for parents and siblings etc. They end up using money to marry a lady with zero emotional connection to them after selling a transactional mentality to the lady and here's where the trouble start from day one.

The lady was never in love with you. Please understand that I'm not saying a man shouldn't provide for his wife or money isn't good o. Money makes relationship sweet and sweeter but a relationship build solely on money won't last because it always lack emotional connection from the side of the lady.

There are men that provides heaven and earth for their wife yet their physical presence irritates their wife and you mostly find Igbo men in this category. Igbo man can go to any length including soling his hands in dirty acts to make money in order to impress madam yet madam have zero emotional connection with oga.

Most stories about how a young man will suffer, struggle and send his girlfriend to school and the lady will later refuse to marry to man citing class imbalance are found among Igbo men.

How about the men who suffer, commit crimes to make money abroad come back to Nigeria to spend almost all their saving on a girl and her family to marry the girl only for the lady to divorce him within few months or years when she get abroad ? Most are Igbos.

I watched a podcast where a lady praised Igbo men for always prioritising their women over themselves, in the podcast she said an Igbo man can look haggard but for you to confirm if he has money go and checkout the wife.

Majority of the bitter feminist online recruiting young ladies to hate men are Igbo ladies and my question is:

If Igbo men pride themselves as the best when it comes to taking care of their wives then why the high rate of divorce among Igbo marriages?
Why are Igbo ladies exhibiting bitterness everywhere in the name of feminism ?

UPDATE:

I forgot to add that one of the main reason an Igbo men will spend heaven on earth to get a lady is that they believe it puts them in charge to dominate and control not just the lady but her family. But the funny reality is it usually don't work the way they think.

This one is for the babes who are starting to question their worth because of what they see online. I turn 30 next Sunday, so I believe I’m in a good place to write this, not from a place of fear, but from experience and sense.

Over the last few months, I’ve seen some wild comments from men on Nairaland. Things like “after 7”, “evening newspaper”, “depleted ovaries”… you name it. But let me tell you: that’s not on you. That’s on them.

If you're feeling down because of these words, pause and breathe. . These men; the ones who use these terms. I’ve studied them. Yes, I went through their old posts. The youngest among them is about 43. 😂 Imagine a 43-year-old man online calling women expired. God forbid my own future husband is wasting his time typing such rubbish on a forum.
One even replied me once saying I should "rest". This is someone struggling to pay N150k school fees for his 8-year-old child and rent somewhere in the bush in Ikorodu. 😭 Another one, sleeping in the office Monday to Friday because transport to Ajah will eat his entire salary. We already had our third degree by 23 but one man from Ogbomosho thinks he would be doing me a favour by marrying me. These same people shouting “in saner climes” but the only airport they have seen is from watching James Bond movies. 😭😭😭

And these are the same ones screaming "I can't marry a 25+ year old, they’re too old." At 40+? You’re not even ashamed. Ato ole.

Ladies, these are the ones calling you evening newspaper. Do you now see that it has nothing to do with you? If you’re here and you’re worried about these people, don’t be.
This message is not for the real men who respect women and are just struggling financially. My message for you is: it’ll be okay soon, amen.
