How many times have you seen the same ideas for content marketing labeled as “new” and “innovative?” Or perhaps you’ve had an idea of your own, and then you realized
other marketers or their content marketing ideas generator have been doing the same thing for months – even years. Is there actually anything new under the sun?
Actually, yes. There are always new ideas to discover, even if they are variants on older, well-worn concepts you might have tried in the past.We live in an age of emerging technology where resources and knowledge are always flowing, always changing. That means there are always unique content marketing ideas and ways to create and distribute content for marketing reasons. After all, as long as there are new forms of technology, there are new forms of marketing.

1. Notes, Notes and More Notes

If you haven’t already, open a spreadsheet or notepad or new Google Doc file. Or you might just create a new note in your phone for ideas as you come across them. Don’t count on your busy brain to remember everything you see and hear as you seek out innovative content marketing ideas. It’s better to jot down some keywords and a URL so that you can access your “swipe file” when you need a new idea and your brain is stumped. Collect all of these unique content marketing ideas and save them for later. Harness the creativity when it’s running wild and you’ll always have something to fill your tanks when they are on empty. In the world of internet marketing, things tend to be a bit flood or drought. Use the flood to help relieve the drought and you’ll never run out of ideas, especially as you get more practiced at writing them down as you come across new material or inspirations strikes.

Making This Work:

Getting organized is big business, but it doesn’t have to be expensive. A swipe file is just a dumping ground of information you like or links you want to explore. You can create your own single dumping spot or network a few together using social media.

Whole websites are dedicated to swiping marketing ideas and organizing them. Swiped.co is like a Pinterest for marketers. Google Docs and OneDrive can be accessed from anywhere. Just make a point to collect ideas in a place you can get to easily to add or purvey your collections.2. Find Your Best Old Stuff and Update

We’ve all written posts that have been forgotten almost as soon as we posted them. But some seem to catch the attention of the internet and stay relevant for a while. Those are the posts you’re looking for.

Find the winning posts or your best content marketing blog ideas from days gone by and simply update them.

You see this all the time with websites like Hubspot and Cracked. The oldies but goodies are updated to include relevant information from 2016 or perhaps what they think will be relevant in 2017 or the future. This works especially well when an old topic becomes a hot topic again (as they all seem to eventually.)
Making This Work

You already wrote a great post once, just put it to work for you again. Or if you’d rather now tweak your original post, you can create a follow-up post with new information or tips to implement the ideas you covered in your original one.

As far as the specifics for maximizing that old post, Hubspot does a great job on a step-by-step explanation and how-to.3. Talk to the Experts

Remember when there was a guru every time you turned around? Now we are surrounded by “rock stars of the industry.” But whatever you call them, we have stand-outs in every industry and most are nice enough to answer questions when you ask politely.

There is a ton of information to learn, and one of the best ways to learn it is to visit with those who discovered it. Or those who have fallen a few times and still remain standing today.

There’s a reason we love hearing from the Elon Musk and Bill Gates of the world. Every time Steve Jobs spoke we sat up to listen. These guys figured it out. And then they tried to help others do the same. You can help share the wealth of information through interviews and articles.

Making This Work

Granted, Elon Musk isn’t sitting in his office answering emails from people he’s never heard of every afternoon. There is an art to making the interview or round-up work.

1.Get to know your hero. If you’re going to interview someone you should know the person well. Don’t embarrass yourself by failing to do your research before reaching out. And don’t be limited by the biggest names. They may be the hardest to reach. Instead, think of the others who haven’t heard from you.

For example, who was responsible for the hugely viral Puppyhood campaign by Purina? If you haven’t seen it, it’s the perfect blend of adorable puppy love and antics with just a smidge of advertising thrown in. Oh, and it has more than 10 million views so far.2.Think about what specifically you’re trying to learn from this person. You’re not going to write an autobiography (and they probably wouldn’t let you anyhow.) You’ll probably only get a few good questions in, so think about what you – and your readers – want to know the most.

3.Make the connection for your audience and you’ll be all set.

4. Ask the Real Content Marketing Ideas Generator – The Customers

Usman Jamaa, a 35-year-old driver, used to be a virile young man. But right now, Usman, who hails from Southern Kaduna in Kaduna State, is no longer the man he once was. In fact, he says he’s going impotent. And for a man that is yet unmarried, his condition is a major concern.

“I used to last long in bed,” he told the reporter. “But since my ordeal started, I can’t even think of having sex anymore because of the excruciating pain that I experience anytime I try making love to my woman.”
Usman told the reporter that his problem started around November 2015 when he was a contract worker with Shalina Healthcare, a company owned by some Indian nationals in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos. According to him, he was outsourced as a delivery truck driver to the company in 2014 by GKT Consults Ltd.
In his words, in the course of his work, he noticed and complained to the management of Shalina Healthcare that the two front tyres of the delivery truck he was driving were worn out, exposing him to hazards on the road. He noted, however, that nothing was done to change the tyres. Usman said he continued driving to different destinations with the worn-out tyres, although he knew he was putting himself at great risk.
He stated: “I have over 16 years experience as a driver, and I don’t want to be a victim of ignorance. The supply chain manager, Mr. Habinda, who is supposed to order for the change of tyres, was aware of my complaints. I told him everything about the dangers I faced. But he kept promising that he would change the tyres. He never did.”
But on January 27, Usman said he met what he didn’t bargain for. According to him, on that day, the truck was again heavily loaded with goods to be delivered at Ibadan. He said he protested to the authorities that the truck was being overstocked and that the tyres could not bear the weight of the tyres. But his protests were ignored, he noted.
“The tyres were already bulging badly under the weight of the load. But Mr. Habinda ordered that they continue to load the truck. Other workers that came to see it confirmed that the tyres looked dangerous. They spoke out that the tyres were indeed very bad. But, again Mr. Habinda said he would change it when I returned from my trip. I reminded him that he had been telling me so since last year. But he accused us that we were complaining because the company was owned by Indians, that if it were owned by Nigerians, we would not complain so much.”
Usman said he agreed to continue with the trip. But he said the tyres burst on the expressway as he approached Sapade in Ogun State. He said a trailer was approaching on the left while a truck was at the right side of the lane, forcing him to swerve into a bush. He said the bus rammed straight into a mango tree.
Said Usman: “The vehicle burst into flame immediately. I was trapped inside the burning truck and was unconscious. But thank God my motor boy escaped and was quick to drag me out of the fire. I would have burnt to death if I was not rescued on time. I was then rushed to a nearby hospital at Ibadan. I was unconscious for more than four hours. When I regained consciousness, I saw some staff of Shalina Healthcare and GKT Consults at the hospital.

Chief Dan Orbih, Edo State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday
said the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Godwin Obaseki, has nothing to offer the state if elected in the September 10 governorship poll.Speaking in an interview with Independent, Orbih, who expressed confidence that his party will triumph at the end of the exercise, said Obaseki should tender his original certificates instead of a sworn affidavit if he really possesses the qualifications he claims to have in his credentials.Orbih, who said Obaseki did not state where the certificates got missing, also wondered why he (Obaseki) did not make a formal report to the police when the certificates were misplaced.
“Obaseki has no certificate. That was why he went to a court in Abuja so that people in Benin will not know. But in our usual manner, we got all the relevant papers, including the affidavit he went to swear to in Abuja instead of Benin High Court. He didn’t want the electorate in Edo to know that he has no certificate. Now he is saying that his certificates are missing but he did not state what year and the exact place it got missing. There was no formal report to the police when the certificates got missing so the police are not aware that his certificates were missing. Also, when you look at the affidavit he swore to, he said he was admitted into university in 1973 and graduated in 1976. He did not do A/Levels.
“So, there is no way he could have graduated within three years. So, from his own

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has intensified its probe of the
immediate past Governor of Ebonyi State, Martin Elechi, over some alleged fraudulent contracts approved by his government.
Earlier in the year, the EFCC had received a series of petitions against Elechi’s government, causing the commission to invite the ex-governor and his son, Nnanna.
In continuation of the probe, the EFCC arrested a former Commissioner for Public Utilities in the state, Mr. Benjamin Okah, for his alleged role in a $12m contract awarded to a United States-based firm, Califco Group, in 2012.The EFCC said in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Wilson uwujaren, that the state government paid $10.8m to the firm in 2012 as mobilisation fee but the project was abandoned.

The anti-graft agency said Okah allegedly received N83m as gratification through two of his companies.

The statement read, “The EFCC on Monday arrested a former Commissioner for Public Utilities in Ebonyi State, Benjamin Okah, for alleged abuse of office and collecting gratification to the tune of N83m.

“The arrest was sequel to a petition by the Ebonyi State Government over a $12m contract to a US-based company, Califco Group, that had been abandoned since 2012, despite a

The General Superintendent, Deeper Life Christian Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has said that the country will experience change when individuals take steps within their circles of influence.

The clergy, who said he had just come back from a tour of some northern and southern states, added that he had spoken with some governors on the way forward in curbing religious crises.

Kumuyi spoke during a special Sunday service held at the International Bible Training Centre, Ayobo, Lagos. The service was attended by Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State.

He said, “To start with, we need hope and once we have hope and we know that we are not going to stay where we are forever; then we begin to make the change within, and have a desire that here is where we are going.

“Then how do we get there? The change begins with me, you and the people that have that desire or idea in mind. Then we take the first step, it could be a little step or baby step; and if we are focused, eventually we will get there, we will get to the place we know God wants us to get to, and Nigeria will become better.”

In his remarks, Udom said state governments must be able to feed their citizens.

The governor, who added that the country must prioritise agriculture, urged Nigerians to shun corruption.

He said “There is no leadership that is not instituted by God for a purpose. But how sincere are we? Let us start with ourselves. A driver who collects N10,000 for fuel but pockets N2,000. There is no small or

Star striker Lionel Messi will return to play for the Argentina national team for “love”

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has said it would not sanction its members involved in the budget-padding scandal rocking the House of Representatives. House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara and sacked
chairman of Appropriation Committee in the House, Abdulmumuni Jibrin, have been locked in a battle of wits regarding allegations of padding. However, speaking with journalists, yesterday, in Abuja, Deputy National Chairman (North) of the party, Senator Lawal Shuaibu, said APC could only sanction members who run foul of its constitution. He said: “Article 7 subsection 5 of APC gives us the power to do certain things; you see what we are doing we are doing the right thing but only that we don’t want it in public gallery. “What is padding? The party does not sanction anybody on that. What concerns us is where any member contravenes the party constitution in his conduct. ‘’That is why I referred you to Article 7 subsection 5 of our party constitution. We are not a law enforcement organization and so we do not enforce law. ‘’We only ensure that the constitution is complied with; every member of the party is answerable to the party and answerable to its constitution. ‘’The two members that are subjected to this are elected or appointed members of the party including those that are holding public office. ‘’So, you expect the party to sit down and watch? A splinter group of the Niger Delta Avengers, Reformed Niger Delta Avengers, RNDA, has insisted former President, Goodluck Jonathan is the grand patron of the Niger Delta Avengers, threatening to reveal more sordid details about his connection with the Avengers. The group in a statement made available to DAILY POST, detailing how NDA was was formed with the sole objective of taking over from the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND and countering their activities, said it understands why Jonathan denied the NDA. The statement signed by its Spokesperson, Cynthia Whyte said, ”It therefore did not come to the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers (RNDA) as a surprise that the Grand Patron of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has distanced himself from the NDA. ”Like every sponsor, sympathizer and operative earlier mentioned who has equally denied links with the Avengers, we can understand the wisdom behind their decision; as their participation was always meant to be covert.” The statement further disclosed that ”after a clandestine meeting in Otuoke, Bayelsa state in 2014 between the Grand Patron and several unidentified persons ahead of the Presidential election campaign of 2015, it was agreed that the Okah brothers should be contacted to reach out to the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) to endorse former President Goodluck Jonathan, and work with the group of persons to ensure victory for the PDP and President Jonathan.” The statement reads in full… ”To cut a long story short, NDA was formed to counter MEND but failed. He said that NNPC currently had in stock over 1.4 billion litres of PMS for sale to the
