*OPEN LETTER TO MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC).*

You may recall that at the formation of All Progressives Congress in March 2013, the Southeast geopolitical zone was skeptical as to the interest of the zone in the new party.

Although the Southeast never gave full support to the APC in 2015 when it defeated the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at that year’s Presidential Election through retired general Muhammadu Buhari, several leaders of the Southeast still worked for the victory of the party.

Distinguished leaders, recall that following the victory of APC in 2015, the party distributed major offices in both the Legislative and Executive arms without consideration given to the Southeast geopolitical zone. Specifically, the party zoned the Senate Presidency to the Northeast and the Speakership of House of Representatives to Southwest despite the fact that the Southwest produced the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, while the Southeast geopolitical zone was left with nothing. The argument of party leaders then was absence of ranking Federal Legislators from the Southeast.

After the 2019 general elections, the APC enjoyed more acceptability from people of the Southeast comparative to 2015, and returned ranking legislators at both the Senate and the Federal House of Representatives, despite this feat, the APC still retained the zoning arrangement of 2015 in the sharing of political offices in both the Executive and Legislative arms.

The Northwest got the President of Nigeria, the Southwest got the positions of Vice President of Nigeria and Speakership of the Federal House of Representatives, the Northeast got the position of President of the Senate, the Northcentral got the position of Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, while the Southsouth got the position of Deputy President of the Senate. Again the Southeast is left out!

Distinguished Leaders, in 2023 the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari tenure will elapse and there is an ongoing demand for the party to field someone from the Southern region as its Presidential Candidate for 2023. It is only fair and just that the APC micro-zones the Presidential ticket of the party in 2023 to the Southeast zone. This will bring balance and will integrate the Southeast to the core of the party.

Furthermore, considering that the Southeast is the only geopolitical zone in the entire Southern region that is yet to produce the country’s President or Vice President since the return of the Fourth Republic in 1999, it is appropriate for the APC, being the ruling party, to play a lead role in balancing this lopsidedness by presenting a Candidate from the SOUTHEAST.

*OPEN LETTER TO MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY ON 2023 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE NOMINATION OF THE PARTY.*

You may recall that at the formation of the Peoples Democratic Party in 1998, Dr Alexander Ekwueme PhD, former Vice president of Nigeria during the aborted Second Republic that lasted between October 1, 1979 and December 31, 1983, as leader of the group of 38 distinguished leaders of our great country that sacrificed their time and resources for the formation of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was seen as the frontline Presidential Aspirant penultimate to the National Convention of 1998.
You may also note that on the eve of the National Convention, some leaders across the country prevailed on the party to present someone from the Southwest geopolitical zone as candidate of PDP for the January 1999 presidential election, which the PDP won. The argument of these leaders was premised on compensating the Southwest geopolitical zone over the annulment of June 12, 1993 presidential election that was presumed to have be won by Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, of the now defunct Social Democratic Party, SDP. It was based on this that the ambition of Chief Ekwueme was sacrificed by the party in favour of retired general Olusegun Obasanjo, who got the nomination of the party despite the fact that he was never involved in the formation process at any level.

You may further recall that despite denial of Dr Ekweme, a native of Anambra state in the Southeast geopolitical zone, the PDP was still accepted in the zone across all level during that year’s general election.
Distinguished leaders, recall that penultimate to the expiration of the tenure of President Olusegun Obasanjo, the leadership of the party zoned the sole presidential ticket of the party for the 2007 general election to the Northern region, while the vice presidential slot that was zoned to the Southern region, was given to the SouthSouth geopolitical. Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’adua and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, then Executive Governors of Katsina and Bayelsa states respectively, were nominated as presidential and vice presidential candidates for the party.
Distinguished Leaders, at the expiration of the mandate of President Muhammadu Buhari in the year 2023, it is expected that power shifts to the Southern region in the interest of Justice, Equity and Fairness. This is because it will be unfair and highly unacceptable for a candidate from the North to emerge president to succeed President Buhari, a native of Katsina state in Northern Nigeria. The PDP, being a leading party in Nigeria is expected to show leadership and present a candidate from the South in compliance with the wish of patriotic Nigerians across all geopolitical zones.
While the Southwest and Southsouth zones have been given opportunity to fly the flags of the PDP in Presidential election on two occasions each, the Southeast zone, which has been the traditional stronghold of PDP has suffered victimization and extreme marginalization as a result from Federal government of the now ruling All Progressive Congress since 2015.
Considering the above, it is only fair to all sections of Nigeria irrespective of ethic nationality or political leaning, for the presidential nomination of PDP for the 2023 presidential election to be streamlined to a credible aspirant from the Southeast geopolitical zone.


Distinguished leaders, while we are not particular about any individual, may I assure you all that the Southeast geopolitical zone parades credible men and women that have made their marks over the years in both the public and private sectors, and would be willing to advance the interest of Nigeria and also implement the programs and manifesto of PDP for Nigeria.

Jude Chukwuka, actor and social commentator rendered Naira Marleys's Ma Fo so beautifully that he got a million naira from the musician. I did not know Jude Chukwuka before the viral video and had not watched his movies. When I first saw the video I thought he is a yourba man for his good Yoruba diction.

Chukwuka's rendition of Ma Fo, however, is another example of the possibility inherent in our national aspiration. His video tells the story of the Igbo man: cosmopolitan, at home with his adopted culture and proud to adopt and express the culture, language and art of his host. Chukwuka speaks fluent Igbo but happily presents Yoruba programs.

Igbos assimilate the culture of his host. He invests, without hesitation, in the economy of his adopted home and becomes the ambassador of the tribe that allows him to settle and thrive. So much that the issue confronting Ndi Igbo as a people is the sustenance of our language and culture as the diaspora Igbo acculturate in their various abode.

Yet, the country mistrust the Igbos, if an Emeka says he wants Biafra, the country latches on it to generalize forgetting the Chukwukas and millions of Igbos across the country voting with their feet and wallet. They are building homes, businesses, raising their kids and investing in their adopted homes.

Sadly, every effort is made to impose what Chimamanda Adichie described as the single story on Igbo people. When Okechukwu cries against marginalization the troops rush to the barricade shouting bigotry.

Chukwuka's rendition is a reminder that Igbos are a diverse people with complex attitudes to the Nigerian project. The only issue that unites igbos is the increasing realization of the high cost of their ethnicity. The high cut off point, the absence of their kith and kin in the decision making positions across the political and bureaucratic spectrum, and the high-handedness of law enforcement agencies in the SE zone. The Igbos however, are not united in how to solve the issue.

The onus is on the government and the rest of the country to increasingly reduce the cost of being Igbo. The cost is currently too high.

It will be nice to see other Nigerians emulate the example of Chukwuka. His various public avowal of his mastery of yourba should serve as a pointer that the current campaign to profile Igbos as a monolithic bigots is misguided and should stop.

what do i do here...

I owned a Tecno poviour 2 lap7 which has issue with the mic, and i needed to get it fixed so i made a reservation for repair service and a code and date was given to me.
However, before the date a call comes in from the carlcare customer service from this number 09099367640 requesting for further details about the phone which i gave and i equally told them that the phone still has warranty on which she agrees with me that it will cover the mic problems. 
Moreso, she suggested that since that i am in VI and their office is at Ikeja maybe i should used a pickup delivery service to come pick it up which i agreed on, the delivery services was sent to me and i called and they billed me N1000plus fees and i agreed and came picked up and sent to Carlcare services in ikeja as agreed.
This is where the story change from Carlcare people, this number i believed must be from the repair department 08169052904, the guy said he has seen my phone and that my touch pad and one other are bad and need to be change too and that will cost me N14,600, i expressly rejected it telling to please leave that as far as i am aware the phone only is the mic. he said i cant do along the others MUST follow suit but to explained to him that i dont have that kind of money with that he should please repair the mic since the warranty covers it, but insisted i must do the what he say or should be up my phone from their office, and drop the call on me. This is after paying N1K plus for pick up.
i demand justice to this ill treatment as this phone has my major banking app and other sensitive documents and information with security as they demand that my phone comes in unlocked.

So when did they have the time to chase after a girl and or to prosecute her?

I have come to find that Sir Agboegbulem was in law faculty Uniben part time program same time I was in same faculty. I have spoken with juniors and classmates who know him and who describe him as a quiet man who even took hypertensive medicines while in class back then at Ugbowo, We shall return to this
