Nairaland General › 3 Days Fasting And Prayer For All Nairaland User by eduson77(op): 12:49pm On Oct 08, 2012 |
it baffles me when i read what is going on in Nigeria physically and online. hatred have stolen the heart of men.no more peace to human race.where is our future heading to following this pathway?
Lets do this for the love of our country and our future.
lets pray for revival in the mind of the youths.especially to put a stop to tribal and religious war.
We are the hope of this nation. Nigerian next president and governors are here on NL blunting their heart and mind over useless topics while our dear nation has fallen.
America was not built by man power alone but by mindset.
to whom it may concern,
suggest a date.. |

Indeed Nigeria needs a revival. |

am getting tired of nairaland.. these are caused by the moderators. they need to terminate any thread that will bring about quarrel. they wont do it but rather make it frontpage. am gathering my weapons to strike nairaland. they thought their are no more hackers in nigeria? safarigirl: Bros, I ask myself this everyday, if there is any tribe that inter marries the most it's Yoruba and Ibo, after Se and SS, so why the enmity? These tribes are closer to each other than the Hausas, it's when I got to NL that I saw the bile brewing beneath all the niceties, it's like you're in a whole new world.
Yet, these same people will gossip at work, share peace of the Lord at church, gang up to make fun of the aboki at school, visit the club together, then marry into each other's families...heck, they even joke about the whole ofe mmanu talk.
then you come online and people are venting their frustrations at each other and looking for any excuse to make the other look bad, this could mean that most Nigerians are two-faced, and this is not in any way good for our image. Na wa we |

Christianity Etc › Re: An Open Letter To Nigerian Christians by eduson77(m): 11:37am On Oct 08, 2012 |
Basic: You Christians have known we Muslims for years, and you have lived with us for years as well. I’m sure the Muslims you first knew or grew up with never told you that Islam permits unjust killings – not even of non-Muslims. They won't, because they never believed such. If that were part of their belief, they would certainly have attempted killing you.
Spread word of this piece. Feel free to share with others through any available media. Hopefully, it will help reduce the inter-religious animosity that is thickening in Nigeria today. 1.They have been the same since we knew them. secondly, mind your statement. they have killed not just attempted.. and they never intend to stop. moreover, every Muslim or Islamic observer is not a killer or terrorist but there is an adage that says, if one finger gets stained by oil,it spreads to others.. you need a revolution in your teaching and mindset. shikinah |

hey bro, i discovered that, tom cannot do without jerry. i think,we are just displaying our love. moreover, we have no time for that. Nigeria is going down daily..let us uphold it rather than bullshiting online. its time the youths react over these rude acts (newton) pdone: You mentioned exactly what I have been thinking. I am not a history man but I always enjoy reading a few I can grab. I hope someone can help me answer this few questions
1.) Why is it that on nairaland, there is much hatred towards Awolowo than Gowon? 2.) Why is it that Gowon seems to be a history and no one seem to remember him but he play a great role during the war? 3.) Why is it that on this two articles regarding the war, Awolowo wasn't mentioned. The articles are http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakubu_Gowon and http://www.africamasterweb.com/BiafranWarCauses.html and yet he is much hated. 4.) Why is it that physically, Yoruba and Igbo seem to friendly with each other but online, they pour much hatred towards each other?
Anyway sentiment apart, one of the main cause of the war was because of oil and that is one of the reasons British support Nigeria. When Ojukwu was saying that, I believe he wasn't expecting that Nigeria can get much help from outsiders or he might have underestimate it.
The same reason for the Civil War and why Nigeria refuse to go separately is the same reason you and I are suffering today. And that is because of OIL. Nigeria is never a country since the three main ethnic groups have nothing in common. It is the greedy of some men that keeps you and I together.
Like I said earlier, sentiment apart, if the oil was discovered in the northern part of the country, Biafra may not want to leave but rather the Nigeria(I mean Hausa) will the the one asking to separate.

madam.abeg mix peper soup and pap, add water melon, one kpomo and two crayfish.. pour kunu join am if possible. dabriggs: Biafra Lost is Biafra Lost. War is strategy and using allies is part of warfare. Ojukwu would have considered all these before throwing the whole region into chaos. Granted, the North and its massacre pushed the Ibo man to the decision to secede and go into civil war. However, Ojukwu reacted the way he did from the happenings up north. I would have probably reacted the same way if I saw Ijaws Massacred anywhere. It was a hasty fight that led to defeat. |
