SOMEBODY HELP!!!

I am urgently in need of the nairalanders' assistance.
Please, there has been conflicting information as regards the recommended texts to be read for Literature-in-English in the imminent JAMB exam. I want to confirm the accuracy of these reports.
According to some sites, the 'texts' correspond with the last years' while a number of other sites keep to using the penulmate ones. The 'texts' are not by any means relevant to the previous years' as related by myschool.com.ng... This, I must say, has created indecisive conclusion as to the ones with which to stick for the coming exam. Pls, somebody help!!!

Drama
African: Harvest of Corruption
Non-African: Othello

Prose
African: (i) Faceless (ii) Lonely Days
Non-African: Native Son

Poetry
African: Vanity; Ambush; Piano and Drums; They Dining Table; The Panic of Growing Older; The Anvil and the Hammer

Non-African: Crossing the Bar; The Pulley; The School Boy; The Proud Kind

as the widespread information on the 'texts' goes... Pls, how accurate are these
it's accurate...that's the literature text indicated on the syllabus

Title : Another day

As I slept off sadly on the bed thinking
I see myself in another world full of gazing
Oh what a world, I ask myself smiling
Full of energy, fun and loving
It felt like a real world with no pains
Smiles, fun filling with no fears

Then I can feel the sun shining
Heating up my skin without stopping
Beep beep beep beep beeping
That's the song of my alarm screaming

Woke up with a shock looking
Now realizing its another day waiting
Thinking of the past world and realizing,
That a fantasy man like me was dreaming.

Pls what of computer engineering i.e wat do i need 4 admision .and pls what is diff btw computer science and compuper engineering
I am sorry UI doesn't have a computer engineering programme for now...but there's a computer science department and it admission requirements are : {For JAMB} English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics while you need 5 ‘O’ level subjects at one sitting or 6 ‘O’ level subjects at 2 sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any other Science subjects.

As For your second question, Computer Science” is an umbrella term which encompasses four major areas of computing: theory, algorithms, programming languages, and architecture. At the undergraduate level, programs usually cover a broad range of computing topics and allow students to engage in projects across multiple areas WHILE “Computer Engineering” typically focuses specifically on computer hardware and software. It is an integration of computer science and electrical engineering. hope this will help

You have come from Africa
to sit in struggled Limbo and shoot your word gun,
to witness in single file, a family of humans,
destroyed as common vermin, and from their dead
old bones, you have come to see asteroids dawn,
with bolted hot fate and rare skills.

Saying I am very pleased to be here amongst my fellow distingushed and excellent UI aspirants is not far from the truth...We all know the path to success and victory is littered with thorns and prickles. This shouldn't deter our effort or quench our zeal. No pain, No gain!...Resillence and hardwork is a prelude to victory and academic bliss, It also emenate positive energy. We should imbibe in the culture of optimism and self-belief. Procastination and irrelevant frivolities should be shunned... Early preparation is sequel to easy examination. Let's keep up with this spirit of solidarity and unity...I wish us an exciting and adventurous and rewarding days ahead...

Pls who has registered and how many university did u pick...Wat's with the state/private school am hearing pple who cnt afford it nko dem dey mad

Wanna pick unilag / uni uyo as my first choice and Abu zaria as my second...cn it work
Jamb included 'preferred institutions' not second choice...They are different. Now,in this list of preferred institutions, there are universities and some affiliated monotechnics with fewer applications in years earlier...These includes newly-created state universities and federal universities and private universities. If you do not meet the qualifications for admission in your first-choice university...you will automatically be posted to the university you picked in the list of preferred institution.

I always advise pple to ignore ui...because d kind of pple dragging their slot are sophisticated....
.where a graduate with laurels still aspiring for a degree mehn u can agree with me that new student from secondary scho Will find it difficult to make it
I hate it when pple fight a losing battle
ui does nt have respect for your effort
Believe me man, I really did ignore your comment at first, We understand that 'sophisticated' persons apply for admission at UI, this is especially true but the same thing happens in any great university in the country...and we believe in the rewards of hard-work and resilience...we do not underestimate strength but we use it as a leverage to spur ourselves harder...Now, I dunno why you ventured into this thread but if you actually came to scare any of us or to spew negativity, I plead you desist from such act because you will either be embarrassed and humiliated or insulted and shamed...we, UI aspirants, believe in power of optimism and positivity and we know that such virtue is stronger than obstacles and thorns...we are only made stronger by challenges...much as i do want you to leave, if you choose to remain...Do so at your own peril, Who knows you may learn a thing or two!

bro cant register mine. Its saying access code failed at jamb office. They told me the problem is national. Dont know. Am so confused
Jamb access codes are activation pin singularly connected to a particular jamb reg. center...if an access code is faulty, then it is the problem of center...It is fallacious to claim it is a nationwide issue...my advise to you is to register in another center to prevent time-wastage.

WHY?
ok...UI is a premier institution so we should expect huge candidates...but we need SELF-BELIEF﹑ that understanding that we can do better than our expectation if we work harder...CONFIDENCE, numbers are just lifeless digits that describes, they do not expose abilities of individuals, we mustn't relent or tremble at the mention of large figures...OPTIMISM, that voice screaming in our sub-conscious that we deserve better and we should prepare for the best...PASSION, that propelling fire that fuel our ambition to aspire and dream...this should be in our hearts as we begin our journey to greatness...

eddy watsup? This stuff is no child's play. Just saw 74 as cut off for Law and 70 as cut off for comarts and lang. And besides uniabuja just lost law on accreditation grounds. And the candidates that applied for law at uniibadan this year's admission were over four thousand candidates. Though that doesnt deter me but man i will be going for Education and Religious Studies at UniIbadan.. Dont wanna be stranded or left over to write another jamb after this!
cool...but choosing UI should be more of self-belief, confidence, optimism and passion
