Hey guys,

My name is Idris Adeleye and for the past 1 1/2 years, I have been very much into buying and selling of physical products using the internet (to Nigerians)... Is that what they call ecommerce? I think so.

I actually started from selling them on Jumia and then Konga, but later decided to stand on my own... I have a few websites online where my businesses are happening. That way, I am in control of almost everything that happens in ,my business.

And in doing that, I have been able to see several millions deposited into my bank accounts by the various courier companies I am using. Here is a screenshot below from what Courier Plus paid me in January.

I only used that to establish the fact that I am really doing this business.

So, let's talk about how to do this.

You are going to need about 5 Things... I am going to list them in not necessarily their order of importance.

Here we go:

1. A Laptop and a phone

These 2 are most likely the most important things you will be needing for your business. Without them it wont ne possible to do anything. You can easily get away with not having a laptop if you have a good smart phone especially if it is a Tablet. And in fact, you can just use the laptop of someone close to you.
But the phone is very important because it will be necessary for a smooth communication with your customers.

2. A Niche Market

A market is like a category of people who are interest in a particular something. Some examples includes health, money, sports, relationships, etc.

But a niche is a more specific portion of the market. For example; How to cure Diabetes, How to play Golf, How to find a wife, etc.

For you to build a successful business, you need to have a niche market.

The best Niches are the ones with problems people wants to get solved. The tougher the problem, the more chance you have making it big from there.

I am currently in the health and money markets. People want to get over their health issues ASAP and they don’t want to give chance to poverty (same reason you’re here right?) I will show you what it takes to make it in those markets soon.

3. Target Audience

A target audience or a target market is the demography of people who are likely to be interested in what you have to offer. They are the people in your niche market.


4. A Product/service/offer

This is what you will be offering to help the people in your niche market (your target audience) to help them provide solution to their problems.

The smartest thing to do here to focus more on being a solution provider rather than just trying to sell products or service.

How Do You Become A Solution Provider?

The easiest way out for me is to sell products... Since I don't have any special skill, I am easily satisfied with going after the marketing lane... it's the easiest and most profitable way to go.

At this point, several questions will come to your mind.

Should I create my products?

Should I import them?

Can't I source for them locally?


Let me take them 1 after the other.

Should I create my products?
If you can, then this can be one of the best things to do. Although, you may have a lot of hurdles to pass through, certifications and all that. And if you are to follow my advice about health niche, then be ready to get a NAFDAC reg.


Should I import them?
I personally started this retail business with importation, thanks to some topics from this session in Niaraland. My signature also have a free video course for you on this. But I have since quit this because these foreign health products have no NAFDAC and it might be dangerous playing around them. I love staying as legal as possible.

Can't I source for them locally?
Yes you can. In fact, this is what I am doing right now. I have been using a company based in the country to roll my business and because they already have NAFDAC and every other certifications required to sell health products, life is easier. I currently market products on diabetes, HBP, Arthritis, Piles, Mouth odor, etc. And my customers are getting results, recommending other people to buy and all that. Money is coming in.


5: A Mentor who knows his stuffs.

Like in every other business, for success to happen easily to you in this business you need to have a good mentor. Someone who is actually practicing what he/she is preaching. 6. A website

When you hear website, it might sound to you like a very techy stuff, but I it's not. There are several videos on youtube that will guide you through how to create one. And if you sign up to be mentored by me, I will actually give you a series of videos and creating websites is one of them. It takes minutes these days to have one up and running.

7. Marketing Strategies.

These is a whole big thing. It includes several things you need to put in place to make sales happen for you. It starts from the market and niche selection to target audience identification, to product/service acquisition, to website creation, copywriting, then advertising, etc. It's can actually be a bit complicated.
