dont pay attention to the unpopular boring attention seeker, there was this topic about home based nigerians being ugly and now this guy wants to join the train please where is the moderator of this section, this section is for sharing the beautiful aspects of our culture not for nitwits like this to pop in and increase their post couts |
congratulations poster, u just succeeded in creating a singles lounge where single folks can hook up, i am single because i aint ripe yet for marriage |
Kobojunkie:hey junkie, be careful what u say, so u can tell me that fashola has done nuttin for lagos, that is just preposterous lagosians are enjoying more hours of constant electricity because of his independent power projects, the road traffic situation has been improved a bit and the monorail project will soon decongest road traffic completely |
wonderful thread here please u guys shld stop insulting the op i know many women will feel insulted upon seeing this post, but it is the fact do u know that the very rich nigerian young men nowadays dont want to marry anymore, guess why, they have seen the inside and outside of women when i say women i mean the best and the most beautiful women, all this just because they are rich |
@op, are u celebrating half castes or are u trying to enlighten us well not bad, i thought ramsey noah's father was egyptian, are u sure its iranian |
its all true |
is there anything wrong with your natural hair if allowed to grow and kept well is there anything wrong with your natural skin complexion what bout the color of your lips must it always be red? [ its not wrong to add flavor once in a while] what about your natural God given height, is there anything wrong with it? is there anything wrong with ur natural accent[ the most annoying of all], must u gals try to talk like an innocent little red riding hood the fact is, we men might enjoy all the fake things temporarily just because they are good turn ons for sex but in reality, no man will ever love a woman he doesnt know, so being down to earth is the most beautiful thing a woman can do |
i just want to ask all the ladies a simple question what in the world is wrong with yur natural hair, are u all not ashamed that u put on artificial hair for like 90% of the time thereby killing your own natural God given hair, this is the perfect example of colonial mentality as for me , my wife and daughters will keep their natural hair which s way more beautiful than any crap |
i am heavily dissapointed with some of this pastors even though am nigerian, the fact is that jesus rophesied that this would happen so no one should be surprised, it is an endtime spirit, another thing u can notice about these churches is their lack of moral rectitude and nonchalance towards immoral lives that their members lead |
can u diaspora nigerians tell me the girls that nigerian men are now going after ![]() |

the op is actually using the poetic figure of speech known as IRONY |
@nayah Annabel mbock is my friend on facebook, i didnt know she was an actress or even from cameroun, tell me more about her |
i dont know how somebody with a brain can actually accept that 80% of nigerians are living under $2 a day, a statistic given by people who dont care about you and definitely want to downgrade you and make you look poor in the eyes of the world, keep you trooping to their countries for cheap labor if you think of the lowest earners in nigeria [ the abokis, mairuwas etc] you will see that they clearly make above 300 naira a day so what are you folks talking about this statistic is gotten from our GDP which is $377 billion dollars divided by our population of 150m to get an annual income of $1500, which is the equivalent of 225,000 naira per annum and 19,000 naira per month but we seem to forget that this GDP is calculated wrongly because it puts only oil our major recognised export into consideration, forgetting that we as a country produce many foodstuffs which we use to take care of our selves [ onions, tomatoes, fruits, pepper, beans] thereby making the price of these things relatively cheap here , our informal economy is one of the largest in the world and if we are to take it into account, our true GDP might be up to $700 billion dollars and those talking about 18k minimum wage, how many people actually earn the 18k? have you forgotten that federal ministries have levels ranging from 1 to 17, those above level 8 clearly earn above 40k a month, those in level 13 earn up to 70k a month, so you folks shld stop talking as if it is every civil servant that is bound to earning 18k per month |
AmeriNaija:are u one of my beautiful naija babes, how is NY my dear? |
young lady where the hell do you stay its not as if the money is so much and so significant but such payment of money from the government gives the youths a sense of belonging in the community, it reminds them that the government cares for them it is more of a psychological tactic than an econmic one and i think the building of 305 standard schools in imo state would be a geat accomplishment i can only say kudos to rochas, |
PAGAN 9JA:young man u dont understand me in any way, my heart isnt connected to any form of african traditional or pagan religion so dont claim that my mind is affiliated to christianity while my heart knows where it belongs, u are on your own in that aspect |
@emofine, am jst tryin to say dt d transitn to xtianity shld hv been more respectful, am of d opinion that christ is d way but i dont like d fact that we africans r scared of our culture, this is one of the major causes of our numerous problems in our continent. We africans hv dis mindset that we were evil barbarians and the so called gud white man came and rescued us 4rm evil because of that we accord all respect to evrything pale pink. I hope u undastand me, 4 example, u cant tell me that buddhism is evil or is morally bankrupt because of that a chinese christian convert wont run away 4rm evrytin ancient chinese thereby retaining any self respect dat he had. This is d same respect dat shld be accorded to african trad religion because they werent evil or cannibalistic but they simply arent the way to d ultimate salvation of our soul |
i like the concept of this thread, i believe it is very wrong for the europeans to aint our indigenous religions and customs as evil and diabolic while they glorify gods like zeus, ares, aphrodite, hermes, athena and thor in their mythology even in their movies @ emofine, am happy that you came up with such an intelligent concept, i am glad to tell you that i am a christian and i believe in the one and only true God, the father of Jesus Christ but that doesnt mean that we africans didnt know that there was a God we just had a different explanation or concept of who he is even paul in the book of acts when moving through the greek city of athens did not paint their religion as evil but understood that it came out of human philosophy and that inner desire in man to find God and solve the mysteries of the universe, and apostle paul respected that and directed their philosophy into the right direction instead of looking down on them i believe the way we see our traditional religions in africa and even in other parts of the world like south america is very wrong, we should simply substitute our former allegiances to the true God not because some white faced folks introduced them to us but because we are lookin forward to the salvation of God, the europeans have succeeded in brainwashing us through their eurocentric philosophy, because of that we tend to run away from every aspect of our culture which is very wrong, |
i am doing a little research on the resistance of african tribes to colonialism, i would like to know how the british coped with the nigerian indigenes in the colonial period, were there frequent revolts, did they leave in different places, were they disrespectful to the nigerians i would like someone with good second hand knowledge or if possible first hand experience to explain, and if there are any materials to explain on how life was during this period please gladly share thanks |
i like this topic, one might not understand it if he/she doesnt understand eurocentrism understand that no human being is black in color, the fact is that black isnt even a color but the absense of illumination and white is the presence of illumination, africans are dark brown to light brown in color, europeans are pale pink in color not white |
Another fundamental problem i should add is the black man. Its too long to post here, but seriously we have issues with mentality and our approach to life. you are right about the black man, i have read many articles about african history after independence and it just surprises me that all the black african leaders do exactly the same thing after assuming power, they stay there for as long as they can, embezzle all the money they can and live no traceable legacy u can look up the history of burkina faso's campaore and other african leaders i dont think it is a problem with the blackness of a black man i just believe we are passing thru a phase |
this thread is a home for me, all the comments posted on this thread have been in my mind since i thank god that there are like minded nigerians who can see the enormity of our problems and the role of the west in this the most important and powerful tool the west have against us is the media, it is the biggest brainwashing element they have, if i can control your mind, then i can control you and that is what they do to us every day nigerians are trooping into their embassies applying for visas with the illusion ingrained in their minds that the west is far better than them, that up there, there is no poverty no struggle and everything is rosy, who else put that illusion in their mind if it isnt the western media what they have been doing since and they still havent stopped, is the denigration of africa in the media, for Gods sake, how can someone say that 80% of all nigerians live below the poverty line of $1.25 per day, that is just plain false $1.25 is equivalent to 200 naira, are they trying to say that more than 80% of our population dont make up to 200 naira per day, just look around you and calculate it even those on the lowest rung of the ladder [ mai ruwas, abokis, hawkers] make more than that everyday and they dont constitute up to 30% of our population their statistics are just plain false if you look at saudi arabia you will see that they have done the most important thing that can be done THEY HAVE REBRANDED THEIR IMAGE IN THE EYES OF THE WORLD AND THEIR CITIZENS, THEY WILL NEVA BE SLAVES TO THE IMF AND WORLD BANK am not saying all nigerians have to do to make this country better is to rebrand their television image, but that coupled with other steps in the positive direction and i know we will get there @op, i know ur analysis is right, but every anaalysis should be geared towards a solution not despair, that is why we are humans[ problem solvers] |
indians send ur asses back to asia, glo and mtn will take over the market mtn might be stingy but at least they understand what it means to patronise a peoples culture |
even if the price is exorbitant, fashola is the best we have got, so lets deal with it if you can do better, join a political party and contest, remember the only reason why evil prevails is because good people sit down doing nothing |
dont know much about him but this teaches us one lesson, enjoy every day that u have because no one is above death how many kids does he have? |

we KNOW the TRUTH, deep down in our conscience. All we do not have is guidance. We do not know the means or how exactly to revert back to the old Gods/old culture. in other words, we are in a state of LIMBO. neither here, nor there. our mind tells us to follow the foreign religion, but our soul will always be attached to our past, our present and our future. our identity.
