Tailadivaaaa:***. Wow ! This is wonderment 😎 |
glorious23:Morning. You have to select a date first (even if it is 2027) before you can navigate all other options ie reschedule options & emergency appointment options etc. Not selecting any date makes you a no-applicant. 👍 |
Loljohnhope:Hello. Even if you have had a BA in Igbo language and works as an operation manager no consular officer will query you on that. Going through University alone have made you qualified to work in all fields. If you dont list your current field do you want to lie on your ds-160 that you have being working at the orthopaedic hospital or national aerobics center all because your fist degree is physiology? ** If you are currently a pollice officer list it in your ds-160 . You are ready to go back to your track hence your decision to apply for Msc in Kinesiology which is in tandem with your Bsc in Physiology (this alignment is what you need) . 👍 |
Smgbenga:Hello Gbenga. Your ds-160 is still valid but you are the one rendering it invalidated. *** You have typed OO for orange instead of 00 as in 100. That OO must not follow AA, it's numerical that usually follows alphabetical in ds 160 numbers eg AA00.. not AAOO. spot the difference. Fill another ds-160 if you re still not getting it. 👍
|
burgessdon:*** @VisaZest is correct. Follow those steps and be certain you make the payment the day or 2nd day after generating the payment advise 👍 |
burgessdon:Good Day. Go and pay your visa fee. Its still possible because people around me both B1/B2 and F1 are still booking appointments. ** If the bank doesn't send you away and you are able to pay then you won't have issue. 👍 |
Tailadivaaaa:Hello Talia. YOU So I went to Canada and came back. I want to know what documents to take along apart from the DS 160 confirmation page , appointment confirmation letter, visa payment receipt and passport photograph. Despite the fact that consular officers rarely check documents nowadays i will still recommed you equip yourself in order to avoid 221g. The next relevant documents to take along is your POF (bank statement) and evidence of where to stay. ** You do not need letter of introduction from work, and the better way to proof home ties is in your visa application...ds-160 and verbally with the consular. YOU I am also travelling next week. Can I ask them if I can hold on to my passport cause I don’t think they’d return it to me in time for the next trip. You cannot book down or reserve a U.S. approved visa to be issue to you in a future date. If you hold on to your passport after the visa interview where will the consulate stamp your visa ? Or you mean after your arrival you will just dhl your passport to the embassy so that they can issue your visa based on the last successful interview 😎 ** I would rather you reschedule your current appointment till after your arrival or you wait for your visa and postpone your travel . 👍 |
Nommsy:Hello Nomsy. She should not indicate the wish of seeing her grandchild since you have not delivered the baby except if you want her to over stay (but another exemption is if you have already known your due date in that case she should be honest). If she goes with the same DS-160 profile of January without any reasonable and convincing profile updates she will be denied again. Funding for the trip lies with your family. If your mother is capable indicate her as self -funder and if she is not indicate yourself or your husband or any of your family (nuclear) member. ** Retirees are seen (by the consular) as people who honestly wants to come and relax in america after longer years of working/service but the sketchy part of it is that most of them will need long-time or constant medical care (esp women) , good environment for relaxation options for the senior citizens, etc which they will find as verily available and accessible in america thus making majority of them to want to over stay or stay back fully. Your mum should display good home ties ie other children back home, businesses or rentage properties at home , other activities ie club membership, having visited or would be visting another of her child in Australia or Sweden etc in the coming year is another abstract ties of travel history etc . ** Lastly communication is of utmost importance. You knows your mum's communication ability. She should be able to know some things about herself the daughter she is visiting, she should talk to the consular in a friendly manner and if she doesn't know an answer she should say i cant remember instead telling lies. She should also not argue with the consular. 👍 |
charlyduru:Duru. I strongly believe that external translator won't be allowed except a family member who is also a travel companion. Fill another DS-160 for granny and request for a translator (embassy will provide automatically but if they dont have the translator for mama's dialect then they Will write you to bring one along and give you details about how to do that) and state at the end of the form that a son /grandson or daughter have assisted her in filling the form. Note: Remember to update Grandma's new ds-160. 👍 |
missidy:@missidy. Those are the people who enjoys negative news and takes enjoyment in spreading it (perhaps for their personal gains). I read it too and it's there on major newsrooms but it is not officially ratified. If it's going to take place i guess it will even start from Canada, Mexico , and followed by Arab nations . Ask the person who is claiming inability to book an appointment but seeing available dates to screenshot his or her dashboard to the general public. I bet he or she won't reply again 😎 Continue spreading your own truth and good news. 👍 |
shabazz1776:** If the other reason of your visit is genuine and you think it is reasonable (to the consular) to guarantee a B2 visa in which if successful you would have spent approximately 8.5M NGN... Then go ahead and apply. I will give it an unofficial 35/100% chances. It's not absolutely unattainable. 👍 |
toluolorun:Toriolorun. You should not have migrated your old appointment as your old appointment is still valid providing that your ds-160 tallied along. Raising hundreds of tickets will not solve the issue other than following the official U.S. embassy recommendations which is : If you have challenges making payment for your visa fee or you have paid and it is not reflecting on your AVITS profile, email us at LagosNIV@state.gov ( copy nigeria@usvisaappt.com) with the following information: USE THIS SUBJECT LINE: V45 - MRV ISSUES ON AVITS Full name Date of birth AREDS-160 confirmation number (starts with AA) Passport Number Copy of First Bank receipt or any other evidence of payment A short description of your situation including screen shots if applicable. ===≠=====≠ ABUJA If you have challenges making payment via any of the payment options available on the website, email us at consularabuja@state.gov // copy nigeria@usvisaappt.com with the following information and as much attachments as possible. USE THIS SUBJECT LINE: V45 - FULL NAME - PAYMENT ISSUES Full Name (as listed in passport) Passport number Copy of DS-160 An explanation of the issue, including system screen shots if applicable. Meanwhile that is your last resort and you do not need to open another profile for your dependant. If that doesn't solve it you will have to pay a new MRV). 👍 |
shabazz1776:Hello Shaba. The odd is not about knowing someone in america, the odd is about you whose mom is a green card holder . Doesn't she visit home ? Or why cant she visit home if she need to see her family ? I dont know how she entered america but her family back home (including you) are the original reason....home ties ...she was issued the visa. Lets assume that she has entered the U.S. in a very legal way but showing interest of stay up to acquiring a green card is an evidence that any family member or friends will like to follow suit because a successful pathway is usually contagious within a nuclear family. Well, the best time to visit such individuals is when they are graduating, hospitalised, wedding ceremony, having legal issues , wanted to establish a business in america, have bought goods to export home and needed you to come and inspect etc .. Mind you , the visitor (you) must proof strong home ties and POF as well as strong proof of reason to visit. Otherwise she can petition I - 130 for you once she becomes citizen. 👍 |
kennisman:Hello Kenny. You have been approved for a non-citizen worker petition (I-797B) which is the first step of your H1-B visa progress, therefore you dont need much worry. 1. Your original school certificates, birth certificate etc would be returned to you when picking your visa/passport but i am not certain of your original transcript. Some organisation likes to keep for further verification or for record. ** You should request for another transcript from your alma mater if its not returned. 2, No one can accurately predict the cause. Why not cross check your case status online at the USCIS https://www.uscis.gov/ or go to the nairaland section as attached ( USA employment based). ** I think you should Focus the more on the documents you are asked to submit . 👍
|
fekeoshomoshi:Hello. It's not yet enacted by the U.S. government because it's not yet posted on U.S embassy website. I read about it too. It's on Google. President Trump can pronounce a new law but not all laws can be put to work immediately because they will review those who will be at greatest advantages and disadvantages of such laws. If enacted, your current appointment stands but subsequent appointments will takes further screening and the first-step would be to verify your social media/platforms ie Facebook, Instagram, Twitter a.k.a X etc, and then after passing the screening you will be summon for an appointment. ** I don't want to fault president Trump on this as most evil perpetrators (Americans especially) display their evil intent on social medias before carrying out their evils. 👍 |
amazinghands:Hello. Don't die before the death. Don't reschedule yourself. Keep watching out via email (check spam mail too) as the embassy will send a notification and reschedule option to you. If they don't leave your appointment as it stand as i am certain they will do before or after the holiday. Although you can still click on reschedule option intermittently perhaps another date in June (after the holiday) will pop out. 👍 |
Eagleking123:*** Consular officers even your schools in America prefers that your scholarship award money, money from sponsors etc is deposited in your personal account because that is the best guaranteed that you have direct access to the funds. ** Your father or mother does not need to write a letter (as in affidavit of support by an organisation etc) of support. Just go along with the financial proof of where the money is coming from as the embassy knows how to verify. ** I am not in support of combined or joint sponsors (except joint scholarship awards) especially within same family because this will look like you are struggling to raise the funds which is not good enough as one of the joint-sponsor may disappoint in the subsequent year. If your joint sponsorship is already a fait accompli just provide the full evidence and be honest to the consular about it but neither of your parent should write any letter. 👍 |
OkoyeIfechukwu:Hello Okoye. YOU Please guys, I am preparing for another student visa interview, after being previously denied. I want to share my full details and seek advice from experts here. I really want to weigh my chances and get guidance on what to do better this time. Please find my information below: *** Your full details here is not enough because it only briefed your transcript. Your full detail should be your previous ds - 160 details and your overall profile but lets leave that side. YOU My interview Transcript Unsuccessful Application. Abuja. Visa denial under section 214b *** Aside of INA 221g, 214b is the 2nd best reason for all visa denials which allows you to re-apply. Any other reason (s) other than the mentioned is worst ie .. Criminal History INA section 212(a)(2). Previous Visa Violations. INA section 212(a)(9)(B) Fraud or Misrepresentation. INA section 212(a)(6)(C)(i). ETC..... YOU Who is your sponsor? I was given a tuition assistance of 1,188 dollars and the rest of my tuition fees as well as my living expenses will be covered by My elder sister, ... in the UK, she earns between 48000 - 50000 dollars yearly, Plus, she doesn’t have kids or any major financial commitments, so she’s in a great position to fully fund my Education. I also have $10,000 in savings to supplement her support. *** If i were the consular and you have scored all points B4 this i would still have denied you based on this unnecessary story ( my elder sister is my sponsor....Period). If the consular needs further info he or she will ask eg,... Where is your sister ? What does she do ? Etc. YOU Current Profile: Have Bsc in Computer Sci Program: Master’s in Information Technology I’m a Cloud Security Engineer (1 yr work experience here), with 3 years of work experience in the tech field. COA: $22,500 Tuition assistance from school: $1,188 My elder sister is my sponsor (my I-20 states “Family”), and I will contribute $10,000 from my personal savings to it (I have proof of this). I have no international travel history. *** Your overall working experiences is good. *** You should have transferred the $10k to your sister and state her as the only sponsor . Combining funds or sponsors means you are struggling to gather the resources. *** Anyways since you have proofs just equip yourself with self proof as well as your sister's financial proof. Proof of honesty to corroborate what you are saying in tandem with your Form I-20 & DS 1-60 infos is actually what the consular needs. ** You do not need international travel experience to secure F1 visa. Its not part of the requirements. Its only a kind of requirement for B1/B2. 👍 |
zinachidi:** Make the option immediately after your interview and choose premium (paid) delivery. After that you should call or email OIS staffs for awareness. 👍 |
ugorjimicheal:Hello Michael. Do not continue the process if it is a PhD admission, but If it is Bsc or Msc funding is not compulsory for you if you can absolutely pay all your COA and proof that capability to the consular. Funding is not a criterion or it is just one of the criteria (for Phd applicants ) for visa approval decision, therefore, every other F1 visa requirements must be given equal concentration (this is why you have seen full funded Phd/Msc applicants with visa denial). ** Transfer your wealth or your financial capacity to your mum (temporarily) and state her as your sole sponsor . It is not always advisable to use joint sponsors as it can cause outright denial from a lazy consular who doesn't want to do the stress of complicated verification or you might be placed on 221g in order to further verify the joint accounts. Consular officers have less time allocated for each applicant so the aforementioned can happen when you are trying to over stretch their time with complicated visa application. ** However, if you are absolutely certain about your sources of income with obvious proofs (ie website, past and current contracts , fixed deposit money etc) which will continue while you are still schooling in america then you can indicate a self-sponsor. 👍 |
MikePaulGh:Hello Paul. 1. I know four people currently going to the school but they are Ghanaians and pls don't let us talk about it. 2.. It is not advisable while you are still in Nigeria because you can get yourself entangled in an entry-mistake and be sent back home for correction. ** When you arrive in the U.S. go to the DSO at your current University asking for a SEVIS transfer to the new University (you must have gotten admission). Your DSO will start the process and once its done (approximately 14-days) you will be notify immediately and the DSO at your new University will issue your New Form I-20. 👍 |
DeathToSimps:** I can use my brain effectively based on the U.S visa application rules and policies which i have been conversant with for the past 20 years. I repeat, all F1 visa applicants are 100% of the time qualified for emergency appointment. You have done something wrong. If you have a reliable source for your claim that only cote d'ivoire citizens or permanent residents have the priority of F1 emergency appointment you can post it. That time i will accept your claim otherwise it's your imagination. |
seunpinky:Hello Pinky. That tracking page is always 95% accurate most of the time which makes me believe that your parents visas are still in process. ** Besides, it seems your dad & your mom submitted renewal via IW but while working on your dad's visa (and your mom's passport is Cooling in the file) it was discovered that his passport photo needed to be re-snap hence taking the embassy backward in allotted time for your parents. My thinking, based on personal experiences and research is that your dad's visa is ready but they are working on your mom's visa in which the embassy plans to release both at the same time. NOTE: IW renewal processing time usually takes (2) months so you have to keep tracking and have patience. If you have calculated after 8 weeks and still in status quo then you may get back to us on Nairaland or call the embassy directly. 👍 |
Ayomide94:Hello Ayomide. Your case is the same with @Lethhhgooo (may be both of you should read this ) only that you added DS-160 issues in which @Debbieeeeeee has briefly analysed. ** Since your mum has changed to Abuja all she need to do is to fill another ds-160 choosing Abuja-Nigeria and then go to her avits profile to update the ds-160 by raising a ticket and after 2 days she can print out another appointment letter (which will now display the new ds-160 confirmation number). ** No ! Your mom does not need to go for any documents verification in Abuja before her B1/B2 visa interview. All she need to do is to attend her visa interview on the exact appointment day. For parents to visit their children in america it is good if the child is a PR (permanent resident), and better if the child is a citizen. However, how the child entered the U.S. and the child's activities will be put on scale because the U.S. embassy will run background checks on such child (ren), ie working, tax complying, police/crime record, financial ability etc. ** Your parents or parent must display good health (except if going for medical), strong activities back in their countries , proof of other children, etc in order to proof ties to their countries of origin (those things that will bring them back home). ** Our Parents (illiterate, semi-literate or literate) especially first-time travelers must be trained on how to communicate or behave in the presence of the consular, to say what their ds-160 says, to be humble and to be friendly towards the consular, and not see the visa as their absolute right to have. ** They do not need much documents except few in order to proof financial ability to fund their trips, their children's proof of residency, proof of accomodation, and proof of biological ties etc. 👍 |
DeathToSimps:Hello. I want to humbly dispute the information that an F1 expedite (emergency) appointment request/approval is only given to Ivorians or Côte d'Ivoire citizens or permanent residents. In the attached piece, the official AVITS website in Côte d'Ivoire is explaining the Ds-160 barcode instructions to Ivorians and mentioning Nigeria as it shows that many Nigerians are or have attended visa interviews in the country. Nigeria cannot say we are giving F1 expedite priority to only Nigerians if you are attending F1 interview in Abuja/Lagos and neither can Ghana or Côte d'Ivoire say the same because the United States of America is the absolute authority on their appointment scheduling and the rules is almost the same in all countries regardless of your citizenship. The rest countries are just the hosts. NOTE: F1- visa applicants are free to apply in 3rd countries in searching for an appointment date if there is proof of unavailability of date in their original countries, and they are qualified for expedite appointment providing that they have done the necessary. You however seems to be doing something wrong. However, i will accept a reliable correction if it's a new rule. 👍

Lethhhgooo:Hello. I'm sorry but your kind is the one who goes for visa interview with bad information because your question is too vague (it has no information to direct you) for accurate guidance. Naturally most B2 (visit for pleasure & Tourism) visa applicants does not need (almost) any documentation when attending an interiew while some B1 (visit for business) might need to show some documents. However, almost all visa applicants are required to strongly displayed POF (Proof Of Funds) , and POT (Proof Of Ties) in their visa application despite the fact that the visa officer may not ask for physcal evidence (depending on each applicant's situation). If we combine the two together (B1/B2), you will discover that one need to be specific when asking for a visa direction ie , 1. Conference/Seminars, 2. Attending for Business Negotiation, 3. Wedding, 4. Graduation, 5. Burial ceremony/Corpse Repatriation, 6. Pre-enrollment visits (colleges & Universities) 7. Xmas/Leave holidays, 8. Church/Religious activities, 9. Visiting to purchase goods, 10. Visiting parents, spouse, children, partners etc, 11. Going on trial (sportig activities), etc. So, do you need documents & past visa interviews (transcripts) for all of the aforementioned categories ? 👍 |
Cherie04:Hello Cherie. Track your visa/passport status or location here ; https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=NIV https://appointment.oisservices.com/pickup-service/pick If the delay is longer than usual then use the ''Create a ticket'' option in your scheduling account a k.a AVITS in order to send an inquiry describing the issue. They will respond with the location of your P. 👍 |
ummnasreen:Hello. Nobody can help you out . Anyone who wants to render any help will only keep an eye on available dates through your reschedule option which is 5x (times). Your best bet and last resort is to request for emergency appointment " Under Business" if you are qualified or if you have the option in your dashboard. The content of your invitation letter from the conference organisers and how best they place you will however determine the success of your expedite appointment approval. 👍 |
Emeneka:Yes. Wait till after the outcome of your visa interview and if successful then proceed to OIS website and schedule a premium pickup. Call their customer service after that in order to speed it up. 👍 |
Ashleydolls:Hello Dolls. Fill a new Ds-160 completely and submit. Print out your Form I -20 and date-sign it. Then use the copies of these together with your SEVIS fee payment receipt and MRV payment receipt to send an email (not ticket raising) to the embassy and copy AVITS AMENTUM. 👍 |
Baileyano1:** If you are a fresh graduate and under dependency age then you do not need to proof all physical ties. There are abstract ties which fresh graduates or younger applicants can proof ie proof of funds/sponsor , academic standings/abilities, genuine intention, proof of family (father, mother & siblings) to return to, lack of criminal records , and social media participation/activities (new) etc. 👍 |
kamsy101:Hello Kamsy If you are the original owner of this transcript then you need a constant and tailored mock training before your re- application (not meant for insult). YOU; Me. I am travel to the city of Edinburg in Texas in USA *** You are suposed to mention the University you are going and the host city and state. YOU; Me. Because I want to expand my teaching career in of ABC *** Do you have a job waiting after your graduation? Is your private schools in your country expanding and attracting foreign students and thus you need international educational certification? Etc. You can expand your teaching career in your country if that is your only reason. YOU ; VO. I see deficits of 40k how will cover that? Me. My late father’s immediate younger brother Mr ABC *** It is even better if the ABC family business will be funding you (in your own case) as a company or organisation instead of one individual who may disappoint you or back out. YOU; Me. Yes i included him as of the modalities needed from my school. *** This is where you upset the visa officer the most. How can it be modality from your host school ? You mean a school will tell an int-student that it is a must he or she apply for F1 visa with the spouse ? ** So the consular detects initial family plan to immigrate with study visas but or probably the plans was disrupted by one or two circumstances. ***. Requesting an F2 I-20s or planning to apply together with your husband is not the reason for your visa denial. But lack of proper explanation & lack of good application (the stories you have joined together) are the reasons. 👍 |
