Princess080:Hello Princess. The Immigration Rule is INA 214(b) which can be summarised as " You are not qualified for various or one reason Or you failed to convince the visa officer of non immigrant intent or genuine intention. Your major reason of denial in your transcript (despite the fact that you have withheld some info) accordng to my personal psychology (not official) is lack of genuine intention . *** The consular was not trilled with your $45k fundings as majority of visa applicants now focuses more in applying to irrelevant programs (not related to their careers & not necessary at the time of their visa applications) all because the department is dolling out fundings in order to attract int-students due to the fact that an international donor has just awarded the department a short or long term Grants. ***. You seems to have travelled to many African countries (general gimmicks in order to proof travel history) hence the question " Have you travelled internationally? " In order to render your local travels useless. *** Your two and a half years is not sufficient years to have gained a better reputation at work (so if you are not married with kids then your job is also not enough to cover your lack of family ties) . *** The visa officer would have placed you on 221g in order to re-verify your Form I-20 but he concluded that your intent is not genuine (even if everything is proven right afterwards). 👍 |
Baileyano1:Hello Bailey. The new job cannot pose as a problem. You are a human being who is expected to keep changing for good or advance in life. ** How will a visa officer expects you to not get employment or be surprised when you have secured one ? But do not tell the officer that the new job which you started within 2 months are your sponsor . Also the new job is not sufficient as your tie. For a job to be added as a tie you must have been working for at least 3/5 years with good salary and other remunerations. 👍 |
lamouchi:Lamouchi. Here are what i think likely happened or is happening based on my few experiences and study; 1. Your previous ds-160 has obvious discrepancies or error which the embassy cannot overlook and needed you to correct it B4 they proceed with your visa process . 2.. Your previous ds -160 is outdated (over 1 year) and the embassy needs your current profile in order to continue. 3. The embassy in the course of their background checks (221g) wants you to re-submit your visa application (ds-160) in order to compare with your previous info in their database. If your information is still the same then they will be certain that the information you provided is not a mistake but submitted with your awareness/consciousness. 👍 |

Nosainwe:Hello Nosa. @Cashmadam has given you a good tips. I will add by suggesting you go to OIS and register for premium (paid) delivery immediately after the Girls' visa approval. More importantly. Visa officer is going to drill the girl on her academic abilities which have placed her above her peers in winning the competition. Start doing your homework (academic/communication practice) with the girl. 👍 |

Alexie89:Hello Alex. Your friend's dad submitted (or gambled) renewal application as a qualified IW applicant when he naturally did not qualified. He is likely going to start afresh by submitting a new ds-160 , pay another visa fee, and apply as a normal visa applicant (physical appearance). 👍 |
awesomeb1783:Hi. That is one of the characteristics of human beings " change of plans, thoughts, decisions etc as a result of natural or artificial created circumstances which is very understandable to the visa officers. *** Going alone or together doesn't affect your original visa decision. What can bring a little questioning is when you have indicated a family accompanying in your visa application (ds 160) then you appear alone on the day of your interview. ** Respond naturally (say the true reason) to the consular when he or she ask about your wife . No need of cracking the brain for that. 👍 |
welf99:@welf99. Thank you for the expounding clarification sir. When the experienced contributors like you intervened then it clears doubt of personal opinion. Any consular officer who told you that is indirectly telling you what to do to get your visa and it is against the rule. Thank u once again . 👍 |
Debbieeeeeee:Deborah. I appreciate the good administrative job you are doing here and thank you for reaching out to me. ** You see, some visa applicants focus on their achievements ie travel history, family or personal wealth, educational achievements, connections, personal unique skills etc and approach or communicate with the consular as a different or special applicant thus presenting them to the consular as braggarts. Consular officers have the absolute decision, even they have the right to decide visa outcome based on their personal moods. Thus presenting yourself as an exclusive being Infront of a visa officer is an obvious red-flag. Americans believe in Equal Opportunity For All so no one should feel special when seeking for visa. 👍 |
Treyknowles:Hi. Don't quote people to ask questions. When you quote someone in asking question then you want that particular person to answer you. Ask your questions generally so that anybody can answer you. 👍 |
Izanghi:**. OKay go and tell your school to increase your fundings then your nuclear family can re-apply. 👍 |
Izanghi:Hello Inzhagi. Visa officer will not utter such a direct visa issuing expo or secret or idea because it's against the ethic as such officer can be penalized. Your family actually did not heard the officer very well. ** What the officer actually complained about was that (on looking at their F2 I 20s) your full funding did not indicate or included dependency coverage. ** Visa officers knows that your funding is under a rigid policy which is initially based on external grants received by your university/department so it cannot be increased overnight. Why feeling stuck ? Your wife and the children are your best ties which serves as your reason of return. Or have you forgotten telling that to the consular or indicating it in your ds-160 prior to your visa issuing ? ) ** Change your storyline. Your family can visit during your graduation (B1/B2) , during yuletide (Xmas) , etc. Their current F2 I 20s cannot take them across as they cannot display enough personal funds to the consular and they (your wife and the two children) does not have their own ties. 👍 |
jennifertaylor4:Jennifer. Look for someone with computer navigational skills and who have being following the instructions of avits amentum in order to not keep wasting your time. It is impossible for you as an F1 visa applicant not to have secure any date (at worst you must see 2026 which can make you apply for an expedite appointment in a worst case scenario) except if you have done something wrong. Did you fill, complete and submitted ds 160 ? Have you paid SEVIS fee ? Is your Form I-20 date sign ? Is your ds 160 location pick corresponding with your embassy location pick ? Those are the characteristics of a serious and obedient F1 visa applicant. 👍 |
Oriimo:Hello Orilomo YOU. Hello all, Pls i need urgent help I just got denied f1 US visa despite having full Scholarship to TCU University *** Having a full scholarship is not an automatic visa. The scholarship means that you have paid the school fees upfront but you must still satisfy the remaining F1 visa requirements before your visa can be granted. U.S. embassy now realised that 85% of visa applicants now go extra-mile in securing scholarships hence that is no more a major benchmark in issuing an f1 visa. YOU. I have a family of four and filled that I will be traveling with my family on Ds160. But I showed up alone because we were not able to secure the same date. *** It does not matter that you went for the interview alone but not following what you documented in your ds -160 makes you a dishonest or negligent visa applicant. *** Besides, i think only Phd applicants or religious scholars (with necessitated conditions) can fully utilised this opportunity (of going with the whole family ) hence, it will be counted as a desperation or trick to migrate your family to america through f1 and f2 visas. YOU VO- Why TCU Me- Because it’s one of the few universities that offers developmental trauma *** You are wrong. U.S. has more than 5,000 Universities. YOU AM a family physician who has passion for child and adolescent care. More so it’s one of the highly recognized universities in the US that make impact across the world through the trust based interventional relations. *** If you have passion for child and adolescent care it must reflect in your academic & career records and have you worked in that career line up to 7 years ? Trust Based Interventional relations does not add any meanings. So the consular noted down pre-meditated or rehearsed answers in your score sheet. YOU VO- Have you travelled out of the country Me- Yes Ghana and Saudi Arabia *** Your scanty travel history did not help you here.. The number 1 country you visited is a commonplace to you as a Nigerian. The number 2 might be for a religious purpose and if not then visiting the country can be counterproductive. YOU Then typed for a while And said am sorry you are not eligible for this now *** Yes the consular was right. Your ds-160 has shown your intention of immigrant intent wih your nuclear family and you do not have the financial capability to cater for them upon arrival in america. Request for individual I-20 and apply alone with the intention of leaving your family behind. They are your ties as you do not presently have a sufficient ties. You also need a new overhauling ds-160 as well as mock training. Go through various transcripts in order to master the act of honest answers. 👍 |
Pheronmie:Feranmie. Follow the format of your first phone number . For example if your first phone number starts from 08023... Then find a phone number that starts with 080 and write it in your secondary phone number . May be you have put a phone number that starts with 070 or 091 ? ** Again if there is +234 in the beginning of the first phone then you have to add it to the beginning of the second phone number . Just follow the way you wrote the first number. 👍

uchee:Hello Uchee. Any U.S. visa interview you missed without notifying the U.S..embassy (by email, raising a support ticket, rescheduling etc) will be counted as a deliberate action and that means you will reapply for the visa by acquiring another visa fee a k.a mrv (but not counted as denied). This situation is called no-show" Your 2nd question will be liken to a woman who was going to purchase some foodstuffs at the market but lost the money on her way. Therefore, every F2s or dependent's purchasing power (to secure a visa) is the principal applicant's visa success. Although, the principal applicant's visa denial does not automatically affects the continuation of the dependent visa process, but the probability of the issuance of such visas is very very low (without the visa-success of the principal applicant). 👍 |
Godgivenchild:@Godgivenchild. Thank you for the appreciation. You know, some people can understand written instructions but they are not good in handling or navigating computer related gadgets ie phones , laptops, iPad etc. Hence , they can seek the assistance of someone with computer or phone navigation skills. Thank you once again . 👍 |
anuoluwa222:@Alhajii Shehu. Go and collect your old (expired) travel passport at the Nigeria Immigration office oo. Aunty Anu said she was given back her old passport (after the collection of the new one) which is the normal practice. Therefore,i was right. 👍 |
OgbeniOptional:** It's goes to your choice but the above scenario can only work for the woman (the wife) as the principal applicant. ** Let's simulate that the wife (principal applicant) is applying for F1 visa with her daughter (as the F2) , and the husband is applying for B1/B2 (visitor) to attend a conference or negotiate a business contract in America then upon finalization he (the husband) will check on the family' (wife & daughter) in school , why not ? They can all apply together. 👍 |
Leqsy:Hello. You are definitely doing something wrong. Those two (2) aforementioned debit/credit cards are always effective except if there is something funny (owners- mismatch info). ** Also, you saying the option of paying with local currency is not working actually affirmed that you' re doing something wrong. ** Go and fill ds-160 completely and submit. Then go back to your profile (avits) and cancel pending appointment. After that you should start afresh and choose bank deposit (physical appearance in the bank) instead of card payment. ** If you are still not getting it then seek the assistance of an experienced person. 👍 |
Moonlightq:** Even if you have been migrated to avits (which i doubt) and deliberately missed a visa appointment (without noticing the embassy ) then you have automatically forfeited the appointment and needed to purchase another MRV in order to book another visa interview date. ** Yes MRV last for 1-year if you keep it inside your wardrobe. But the moment you have used it in booking a visa appointment then the expiration date would be tagged or tied to your appointment date. In this case your old mrv expired last year September (the day of the appointment you missed). 👍 |
Larreex:Hello. Yes it will have an effect. / No it will not have an effect. The above caption means that your situation is 50/50. Therefore, the outcome of your visa is still going to be based on how well you align your visa application together. POF (Proof Of Funds) can be demonstrated in many ways and the MPOWER support -letter is one of the better way to proof it to the visa officer. However, the bad part of the mpower is the repayment clauses (some MPOWER loan requires repayment to start during your schooling period, etc) which makes many visa officers to frown to MPOWER loan beneficiaries if they failed to explain how the repayment is going to be made.] The few F1 visa applicants (MPOWER loan beneficiaries ) i know succeeded because : 1.. They have employment/agreement bond with their employer (regarding monthly support, returning to work after study, etc) back home in their countries. 2. They have verified balanced businesses back home in their countries which yielded daily/monthly profits for them. 3. They have inherited properties which started to materialized within 3-months of their resumption in the U.S.A. etc.... ** The truth and the fact is that you can be successful with an MPOWER if you can convince the consular beyond any doubt of the smooth repayment which will not make you abandon schooling upon arrival / or left you with huge debt after graduation. Good LucK 👍 |
Preshy2004:Hello Preshy. This is a Soliloquy. Post your transcripts so that competent people can guide you. U.S. embassy is not a respecter of any citizen (either rich or poor) except some exclusive government office holders. The philosophy is everyone going to the U.S. embassy for visa is qualified but visas cannot be given to everybody. Therefore, once you are not able to convince the visa officer then you have more homework to do. Attend your visa interview as a commonplace citizen & request for the visa with humbleness. Ciao 👍 |
Moonlightq:Hello. Your question is vague so accept my automatic response. ** Your appointment is expired. You have to pay another MRV (visa fee) in order to book another visa appointment. 👍
|
zinachidi:** You cannot. Attend your June interview or forfeit it and purchase a new MRV to register on avits. 👍 |
punchyy:Hello Punchy. ** Not really. Health insurance is not a mandatory requirement for the F1 visa itself but having adequate health insurance is important for you on campus . ** Your school takes it more serious (perhaps they dont want litigation as a result of death or illness of foreign students on campus) and wants you or your sponsor to take it as one of your arrival plans. That being said, the consular on seeing that on your Form I-20 wll expects a higher POF from you or whoever is funding you. 👍 |
Zebaby89:Hello. I won't reply after this in order to avoid situations but let me clear out some points. 1. Wealthy people thrice than your dad have been denied in the past on their first time or on renewal. 2. Your dad as a wealthy individual can be suspected of money laundering. 3. Ironically, US embassy suspects professionals (ie engineers, doctors, surgeons, etc) & wealthy individuals who travels too frequently to different countries within the space of short periods than the low or average individuals. The aforementioned are some of the characteristics of drug pushers , terrorists , human traffickers, Money launderers etc. 4. Avits amentum did not mess up your dad. Your agent or the person who handles the application does not have full knowledge about how to navigate family appointment. Besides, the Embassy overturned your dad's IW qualification into physical interview because he was suspected of something and needed to be seen for interrogation. 5..Your dad may have failed to express or explain himself clearly to the consular about his activities in the U.S. (he can be a PhD holder and still failed in this aspect). Most time , our senior citizens especially the wealthy ones can be unfriendly towards the consulars thinking the renewal of his visa is automatic. I have seen an elderly woman shouted on a visa officer in the past. **. My points here are not to disrespect your dad pls. I am only narrating to you the very possible mindset of the interviewing officers. 👍 |
Shehuramon:Hello Alhaji Shehu. Has the Nigerian Immigration started to retain applicants's old passport on renewal ? I still have two of my previous old passports given back to me upon renewal. ** Anyways , the new passport is still going to carry the old passport number therefore, it's still the same lifespan continuation. 👍 |
