MizAlero:Hello Alero. 1. You did not start your parents application very well . You should have joined them together in the beginning since they are going for same visa category ie B2 and pay their MRV together. ** Anyways you just have to be using their reschedule options lifeline in order to align their appointment dates. 2.January/February/March. 3. Yes . You have 5 (times) reschedule options. 👍 |
nelson86:Yes. https://visa.vfsglobal.com/kwt/en/aut |
anuoluwa222:** Yes. Go ahead and book your appointment with your current passport . You will eventually fill another ds 160 and update it in your avits profile then attend the interview with both old and new passports. 👍 |
Firstlady999:** Your question is like a puzzle going forth 'n back. But what i can summarise is that your MRV payment was very likely not able to be confirmed by the embassy even after you must have booked an appointment. This happens especially if you do card payment or transfer. Some card can be successful but retracted and some transfer might not get to the embassy while the account owner is debited. Hence my only choice of payment is physical bank deposit. NOTE. 1. Fill another ds 160 and submit at a go, don't fill it half way 2. Pick the embassy location you have chosen in your ds 160 as your interview post. 3. Go and pay mrv physically in the bank. 4. Pay your SEVIS fee 5. Sign and date your I 20. 👍 |
anuoluwa222:Hello Anu. First all of you (including your child) should go and fill separate ds-160s After that, the principal applicant (your husband) should sign up an avits profile (the wife does not need to open a profile because all of you must use one profile for smooth and tallied dates ) and initiate visa appointment process . In the process , your husband should not add the wife and the kid, he should generate only his payment teller and book his own appointment (F1). The principal applicant ( your hubby) must have gotten a date before initiating the visa appointment process for you and your child. In this 2nd stage (inside the same avits profile) you (the wife) and your child must pay visa fee together by generating one payment teller (amentum reference) . You and your kid should be able to book appointment after 24hrs of payment (F2s). ** NOTE: Be certain that you have paid SEVIS fee , signed and date your I 20s and completely fill and submitted your ds 160s. 👍 |
shewa12345:** You will pay at the point of choosing and if visa is not approved they refund. Therefore, wait till after visa outcome before you change your pick up preference. 👍 |
Agidipie:Hello Alagidi. That section is a two way things and it can be confusing. Either going for tourism or visiting there must be a point of contact to be mentioned. Did you register to any tourist attraction center (write the center manager's name and contact info) ? Are you visiting a particular family (write the head of the family's name and their contact info) ? ** You cannot just land in America and be walking or looking around (jaywalking), there must be a particular location of your interest. Note: If you are undecided and plans to visit your desire places on arrival then write the name of your hotel (reservation) and contact info , the manager can be your point of contact. ** You have to choose between organization and contact person (tick do not know for the other). 👍 |
MizAlero:Hello Alero. The payment evidence is what the embassy needs. Besides the payment receipt # will also reflect in their appointment letters so it's sufficient. 👍 |
missidy:** The answer is not for you only. It's for the general public and to enlighten those who might want to make a mistake. Your question can confuse or mislead some visa applicants into wrong application (though it's not intentional), So i just enlighten you together with future readers. ** I did not refer to you as an illiterate. Pls read that part again. Ciao👍 |
missidy:** No applicant will be query by any US consular for using only one particular social media or for not using multiple social medias. NOTE: US visa officers (your main interviewer) despite being assigned the absolute decision maker on the day of your interview is still under the U.S. embassy (staffs) rules and policies and they are prohibited from asking visa applicants some tempting questions (liken to trying to push a criminal into talking). In this respect, it is not compulsory you include others of your social media if you know that what you do on those others are irrelevant stuffs, otherwise you will expose your social laxity. Many visa applicants does not use any social media at all. It's not part of the visa qualification requirements. ** Click on support in your avits profile in order to open a ticket for the update of your new ds-160. You will understand the next stage as a literate person. 👍 |
Jane8999:Hello Jane. Your category is actually B2 (pleasure & tourism) but if the page did not ask you to specify you should pick B1/B2. The reason is that when the embassy wants to issue your visa they will issue you B1/B2 (80% of the time) because they don't want you to come back and apply for B1 since both visa categories are related. B1 is for those going to America for more serious and profitable activities. 👍 |
chiammaka:*** The number one background is to fill your ds-160 completely and submit before you go and open profile on avits. Majority of visa applicants are undecided about their travel plans or undecided about the truth or lies they want to join together , so they left their ds-160 half-filled. ** Leaving your ds -160 half- filled makes you an undecided visa applicant therefore it is part of what causes long pre-approval or inability to get an appropriate date in time . *** A fully ready F1 visa applicant must also sign and date his or her I -20 in order to show that you have read, understood, and agree to follow the laws written on page 3 of your I-20. If you are under 18 years old your Parent/guardian must also sign, write address, and date. *** Any serious F1 visa applicant must also pay or arrange to pay his or her SEVIS fee immediately after the arrival of the form I 20. When you have done the above three (3) then all goodies of F1 visa process (ie fast pre-approval , nearer date or quick approval of expedite appointment request etc) will come to you as a piece of cake. 👍 |
chiammaka:Good Evening Chi. Pre approval request should not take more than 24hrs at worst 48hrs if you do the needful. The needful are : signed form I -20 , fully completed and submitted ds - 160 and SEVIS fee payment. 👍 |
Hollarmiday:Hello Olamide. If your old profile is avits you don't have to create another one in order to avoid double profile . All you have to do is to delete pending appointment (if it's still reflecting) and create new. If your old profile was cgi then abandon it and create another avits entirely. NOTE: Click on forgot password if your old profile is avits. Don't create another one . 👍 |
Sjshdhd:Don't use anyone (including myself) other than your family member . Someone must know someone. Go to your church pastor or mosque imam or physically close members, they will help you locate someone in the U.S. Alternatively you can direct your message to the admin of this forum . 👍 |
shewa12345:Hello Shewa. If your mum has attended her visa interview in Abuja then her free-delivery option can only be within Abuja either DHL or OIS. ** But she can opt for Premium (paid) delivery to Lagos or anywhere. ** You cannot attend interview in Abuja and choose free delivery to Lagos , neither can you attend an interview in Lagos and choose free delivery to outside Lagos. ** Your free delivery options must not encroach the embassy location state. 👍 |
Ceemike:Hello. You have to keep checking otherwise apply for expedite appointment with your SEVIS fee payment and I 20 if your resumption date is within 90 days. I do hope you have fully completed and submitted your Ds-160 too ? 👍 |
Sjshdhd:Hello. The faster way to pay from the UK are online with credit or debit card (visa/master/American Express ) though official SEVIS website. The fastest option is through WU (Wester Union) but you need to find a western union outlet that has Quick Pay Service (not all western union outlet can make the payment) . Otherwise, you will have to follow @coolmosab1 's opinion. NOTE. The SEVIS coupon is delicate to fill especially where you will write your school SEVIS code & SEVIS ID. There is a way you have to align it . That is actually what is giving you problem. 👍 |
dada2013:Hello Dada. Today has gone already you may go back home. What the bank asked you to provide is called Amentum Reference number (MRV payment teller) and here is the process. ** The first step is for you to go and fill your official visa application (DS-160) because you will need the confirmation number (that starts with AA...) to complete the 2nd stage. https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ *** The 2nd stage is for you to go to the U.S. embassy official recommended website (AVITS AMENTUM) and register and initiate your visa appointment application: https://www.usvisaappt.com/visaapplicantui/login You will understand the procedure up to the stage of generating the teller (amentum reference) which you can take to the bank for the payment of your MRV. ** Keep us posted as you are navigating the above procedures.👍
|
wedey4u:Wedey Thank you for the awareness and update. Its my pleasure 👍 |
Kenny4smart:** I handle more than ten (10) PhD international admission application process in every given year. *** If you had stated a preference in your question i would not have contributed but putting questions to the general public is better than looking for set of people. Good lucK on your search 👍 |
Chelseaboy101:** FIRST ATTEMPT: You are an undergraduate student studying in Rwanda with arrival and business entity that is not up to 5 years. No feasible business expansion or demand for services. (So both your studentship and business are not good ties). ** Your Schengen visas are not able to bail you out of your insufficient ties despite the fact that you have a kind of (not really) good travel history. ** Your travel history instead of helping you is now seen as a ploy to receive point. ** SECOND ATTEMPT: You went to the embassy with same unqualified application and added inconsistency in your statement. This time around you have been annotated as " an impending immigrant ( someone who wants to abscond to America). Note: Your ties to Rwanda are not sufficient (i don't even think you are married with kids there ). Your business as seen by the consular is still new and does not warrant any international refresher programs (except you can proof otherwise). ** If you have any arguments against these you can proceed but you need to change lot of things. If you agree totally with my outline you can wait till next year for retry. 👍 |
Chelseaboy101:Hello Chelsea. When you need to go for a life threatening surgery in the U.S. no matter how many times your visa is denied you will keep applying. Likewise if your intention is absolutely genuine and it is useful to your career personally or from office why not ? You should keep applying providing that you can afford the MRV. However , i believe there are mixed up or inconsistencies in your visa application (starting from ds-160, academic profile, work experience, ties to Nigeria and POF for your trip). You may have well gotten a pass mark in all these but failed to communicate yourself very well in the presence of the visa officer. Post your transcripts to the public for general corrections or comb all the conference transcripts in this thread. Don't Give Up, give it the last shot . 👍 |
Kenny4smart:Hello Kenny. Your chances without a Masters degree depends on your working/ class experiences with professors in your area , your SOP and how well and reasonable you outline your research area (interest). Everything is based on your natural inclination or instincts (as forseen by your future professors). ** Your UK 1st class will attract most professors. Your Nigerian polytechnic will not and cannot delay your transcript and you are not transfering your HND transcripts but requesting the polytechnic to send it to your prospective school in the US or have them give you by hand if your new University accepts un-official. Why do you want to short-change yourself by omitting your HND out of your academic profile? Your High school and HND certifications springboarded you to achieving your UK 1st- class. 👍 |
Tomi111:Tomi. Yes you can list all jobs that you were officially employed and paid monthly salary. The degree you used in securing those jobs is irrelevant. If you like you may as well list volunteer jobs. 👍 |
googleTALK:Hello Google. Since about 9 years back nobody can get away with physically present in the U.S while having his or her travel passport with expired or almost expired U.S. visa renewed in his or her home country. Even before (lets say 70s to early 90s) The U.S. embassies and consulates can access and check a passport's travel history, including entry and exit stamps, through various scientific methods right there in your presence and now (in the 2000s) while physical stamps may not be as prevalent in all countries due to digitization, electronic records and information sharing agreements has now fully allow consular officers to access this with no stress (just by slotting in your passport #). ** Many visa holders think that because CBP no longer stamp passports on exit they can then ship their passprts home for renewal or other shady use. No ! They keep electronic records of arrivals and departures via manifest information if you arrive and/or leave via air or sea. Therefore, they know you left and when and how, even though they stamp your passport only on arrival. You (yourself) can verify the entry & exit information recorded by the U.S government at the special I94 - Official Website right in your apartment. https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/home It should give you access both to your current arrival/departure record (I-94) if you are in the country, as well as a record for your past travel. Note: In the past, people do counterfeit entry & exit stamps but computer (digitalisation) and advanced technology has knock if off. They will catch you ! 👍 |
Jane8999:Hello Jane. Don't waste your money or cause yourself delay in payment verification which can delay you for months. ** Chose bank deposit and walk into Frist bank to pay. You can also transfer money to any of your family to make the payment physically for you if you are not available. ** Tomorrow is Monday just exercise to the bank and pay with rest of mind. 👍 |
bayocanny:Good Day. Most Nigerians (especially the youths & teenagers) are very very determined in achieving our goals and we can go extra mile in achieving that . We have being very successful more than most other African countries (over the past 10 yrs) in convincing the visa officers in gaining entry into the United States (in terms of providing even genuine documentations and sweet talks) but on landing into America we change or break our promises by over-staying, staying back illegally, claiming asylum or venturing into illegal stuffs. Hence , this is an era of verification (221g/administrative process) because they don't want to rely on your talking and documentations anymore. Ordinary consular psychology is not doing it anymore. 👍 |
ChiomaCharity:Good Day Chioma. That option to send confirmation to your email has been having issues since last year (2024) so forget about it. The most important thing is for you to keep your retrieval (5 first letter of surname, year of birth and the answer to the generic question : ie what is the name of your mother's mother) information. You can use the retrieval info to access that same page in the next 2 years and reprint your confirmation page. 👍 |
Ladyjayce:Hi Ladyjayce. You are qualified under medical emergency that is why you have the emergency application option in your dashboard (on avits). What you did wrong is your ds-160 (not well stated), the letter from the Nigerian doctor, and the letter from the gynaecologist are all contradicting.. You can re-apply by correcting the errors and getting the right information. Go to that section (attached - red circle) on nairaland . Good LucK 👍

obidike59:Obidike. Your are not In a dilemma if your mum's appointment letter is still intact and the ds-160 confirmation slip filled at the time of the application is still available . You do not need anything to do with avits for now. Your mum can attend the interview with the appointment letter and the ds 160 confirmation print out. She only needs to open profile on OIS in the case she wants to pick up her visa. https://www.oisservices.com/services ** Call/chat the embassy if her appointment is still intact (which i believe it is). ** She should go to the interview along with 2 recent passport photos (2x2) . 👍 |
Nosainwe:Hello Nosa. (1). Firstly your younger sister is not a minor at age 15 therefore she is qualified to be interview by the consular . ** Consular officer will be interested and curious to test her (briefly ) abilities based on the award she has won and if she proves herself her visa is 100% guaranteed on the basis of the genuine existence and accreditation of the awarding organisation in the U.S. (2). Your dad is not suposed to be the principal person that will chaperone her to the occasion, her class teacher , head of school , the organisation facilitator in Nigeria, etc is supposed to but if the competition was registered for outside her school knowledge then you may proceed with your plan, (3). The organization strong - invitation letter does not have to be addressed to the embassy and it is not a guarantee for visa no matter how strong the letter is. ** The organisation's accreditation to hold such event and the girls ability to defend her merit award , as well as the organisation 's background checks (by the U.S embassy) will determine the visa outcome. (4). She is 100% qualified for an emergency appointment ( under business) if you process it effectively. (5). She must fill her individual ds 160 and your dad will fill his own ds 160 individually that is two separate ds 160s but one avits profile. (6). No matter how strong the invitation letter is, it is not an automatic success. The tip on number 3 above will determine her visa. Yes she will be questioned academically by the consular based on her IQ level. The consular will know within minutes of her communication if she truly won the merit even after the official verification of everything. Note: Your kid sister herself must prove her worth to the consular because the natural thought of the consular is that she (your sister) can be favoured as a result of a wealthy parents while the true outstanding students were left out. Good LucK 👍 |
