theoctopus: B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G News!!! Senate Releases Stella Oduah's CV. The Nigerian Senate have released the Curriculum Vitae (Resume) which Princess Stella Oduah the Aviation Minister used in securing her appointment. According to the release, they confirm that the Aviation Minister's CV was in line with her claims, against what some media outfits have been writing in the last few days. They warned that the online news outlets Sahara Reporters and Premium Times should stop giving out false and malicious information that might lead to breakdown of law and order. Sahara reporters have already accepted misleading Nigerians and still refuse to apologize for their malicious allegations and frivolous claims. So wikipedia is wrong also ba? Abeg make jonathan and hin army go sleep joor, imagine as dem rush change story under how many hours.... 9ja I hail ooo. |
The aviation sector of the Nigerian economy has been going through turbulent period since 2013 when the two BMW bullet cars involving the Minister, Stella Oduah, broke. This is despite the fact that the sector has been going through a rapid transformation. Just when Nigerians thought that the storm was over, Oduah was hit with an alleged certificate forgery scam. Her Masters degree’s claim from a US college was discovered to be fake, while only on Wednesday, another story broke online that she was never awarded an honourary doctorate from Pacific Christian College, USA. After the story broke, Aproko247 contacted the said university, which is now called Hope Christian University, to confirm through their records if the report was true. One of their members of staff, who spoke with this magazine, disclosed that no honourary doctorate degree was given to the name ‘Stella Oduah’, according to their records. However, Paparazzi Magazine has reported that the House of Representatives Aviation Committee Chairperson, Hon Nkiruka Chidubem Onyejeocha, is allegedly one of the brains behind the ‘Stella Oduah must go’ campaign. The magazine claimed that the lawmaker has been used by some to bring down the minister. Below is the Paparazzi’s story; It is no longer news that the minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, has been in the eye of the storm for many months, as her sworn enemies, who she said have entrenched interests in the aviation industry, keep bringing new twists into their declared war against her, despite widespread opinion that she has outperformed all other aviation ministers before her. What is however news is what Paparazzi Magazine, through painstaking investigation, unearthed concerning one of her now-exposed sworn enemies, who by law, is supposed to be performing legislative oversight functions on the aviation ministry and its agencies. Paparazzi investigation has revealed that the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation, Hon Nkiruka Chidubem Onyejeocha, might have been acting out a written script in her handling of the now infamous investigations into the bullet proof car procurement by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, and also at the same time, pursuing a personal vendetta against the minister. According to sources in the aviation industry, Hon Onyejeocha is voicing out a script written by “entrenched interests” in the aviation industry, who have found in her a willing ally in prosecuting their war against the minister. This revelation is most astonishing because our investigation revealed that Hon Onyejeocha has been demanding for and receiving various gifts including cash running into thousands of dollars from the minister’s office and other aviation stakeholders. According to a source who does not want to be named, “The House of Representatives Committee on Aviation chairman is only acting out her own part in the war that has been declared by enemies of the minister. She is an Igbo woman, just like the minister, and those using her found out that it will be easier to use the minister’s kinswoman against her and she is doing their bidding with perfection.” Aside doing the dictates of her paymasters, from whom she is said to have been benefitting immensely, our source also hinted that she has an axe to grind with the minister because of the minister’s reluctance to meet all her outrageous financial demands, which the source says has become overbearing and rather too frequent. Two instances of these outrageous demands, for which Paparazzi has proof, were when she demanded and got first class tickets to Canada to attend the inauguration of Dr Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu who was to be inaugurated as the first African head of the International Civil Aviation Organisation. The other instance, our source said was when she demanded for the sum of $500,000 {Five hundred thousand US Dollars} from the aviation ministry but was given $250,000 {Two hundred and fifty thousand US Dollars}. This, our source said, got the honourable member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi, Federal Constituency angry, for which she vowed to bring the minister down. “The honourable member has overtime displayed an insatiable appetite that those in the aviation industry are finding increasingly difficult to satisfy. She comes with crazy demands and if you are not able to meet it, you are threatened or blackmailed. This woman has left her constitutional duties and she is now pursuing personal vendetta against whoever she thinks is stopping her from whatever largesse she thinks she is entitled to. That is the genesis of the minister’s problems with her”, submitted the source. Another inside source in one of the aviation agencies in Lagos also confided in Paparazzi that Hon Onyejeocha has become a pain in the neck for agencies under the aviation ministry and that they can only hope that something happens to quickly change the tide. “Most of the problems the aviation agencies have today are orchestrated because of the collusion of interests. If the chairman of the House Committee on Aviation is going to be sincere with herself, she will readily admit to this. This woman has been on the neck of FAAN, NCAA etc for one thing or the other. We in the agencies are tired of her overbearing attitude and demands. This is an ordinary member of the House of Representatives who is only privileged to chair the committee on aviation but she demands from us to give her a convoy of cars whenever she visits Lagos, notwithstanding what purpose it is used for. Tell me what she will do if she is made the minister? Will she not buy a private jet as official plane? There is so much insincerity going on with what her committee is doing; we don’t have a problem with the House doing its job constitutionally but when you now allow personally interest to overshadow your sense of judgement, then it becomes a fundamental problem”, the source said. For a woman, who on her official page in the House website said her interest is “to see the position of the women move to the next level and also help pass laws that will help ordinary Nigerians”, her actions and declared on war on a fellow woman and kinswoman leaves a lot to be desired. According to one of our sources, “Hon Onyejeocha is just another opportunistic Nigerian politician who believes she must use her position to acquire ill-gotten wealth and cut down whoever dare stand on her way.” Additional information by Paparazzi Magazine. http://aproko247.com/2014/01/09/house-of-reps-member-in-1m-aviation-bribery-scandal/

A 21-year-old final year female student of the Benue State University, BSU, Joan Adaaku, has been reportedly found dead in a hotel room located in the heart of Makurdi, the Benue State capital. Sources who preferred anonymity told Vanguard that the Economics undergraduate had checked into Savannah Guest House at about 7 a.m after paying N2,000 for a room. According to the source, “She actually arrived the hotel alone and after underaking some check-in formalities she entered the room and locked herself up. “She never came out of her room again either to ask for food or any other things. So, at exactly 6 p.m, a room attendant knocked on her door to find out if she was interest in being attended to by room service. “Her silence aroused suspicion and the room attendant, who repeated his call to the room at 8pm without reply, alerted the manager on duty. “It was at that point that the management alerted the Police who moved in and broke into the room and discovered the lifeless body of the lady in a position that suggested she was making a call before her death. Vanguard gathered that the deceased had on her a small purse which contained a Bible, rosary and N8,200. A bottle of water and a bottle of soft drink were also discovered in the room. Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent, DSP, Daniel Ezeala confirmed the incident, and said investigation into the matter had commenced. http://notonlygist..com/2014/01/sad-news-final-year-female-benue.html?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed&m=1 |
Aproko247 can authoritatively report that 27 out of the 30 legislators in the Sokoto State House of Assembly have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC. The affected lawmakers joined the APC from the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, which has been battling with a major turbulence since 2013. The 27 defecting members of the State House of Assembly took the decision to join the APC on Wednesday in solidarity with the state governor, Aliyu Wamakko, who joined the APC from the PDP along with five governors in 2013. The lawmakers, after leaving the Assembly complex on Wednesday, headed for the Government House in Sokoto to inform Wamakko of their decisions. The other three legislators, as we gathered, might join their colleagues when they return to the House. They were not present today to witness the massive defections. Renowned Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has declared 2014 as a year of ‘crossing the bridge’, prophesying it to be a year of destiny where corruption would be corrected in Nigeria as corrupt leaders would go down. It was an electric atmosphere in The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) where large crowds thronged to usher in the New Year 2014. T.B. Joshua came out around 11pm to deliver his much anticipated prophetic message in a broadcast beamed live via the churches popular television station Emmanuel TV. He first counseled believers to stay steadfast in faith despite the challenges that would arise in the coming year. “We are tempted so that we may pray the more. Afflictions are meant for our spiritual benefit,” he encouraged the congregants and television viewers. Moving on, he spoke about what was to be expected in the New Year, attendees listening with rapt attention and scribbling notes as he spoke. “This New Year 2014 is not like any other year in the past. It is a year of crossing bridge. To cross the bridge, you need to grab onto faith,” he began. “This is not going to be easy for the mighty. Many of the mighty will fall. Pray for them. The rich, famous and popular people – many will fall this 2014 because crossing the bridge is not going to be easy; they need God. Many of them believe it is their own making to be great in their own area of expertise.” He went on to decry the effect this ‘fall’ would have on the business world as, according to him, “98% of businesses and companies are owned by these people.” Specifying a field of business that would especially be affected, he said the airline industry would face multiple challenges, leading to an unprecedented rise in ticket prices, particularly noting that African airlines would be most affected. Joshua further declared 2014 to be a year of destiny for those would ‘follow the ways of the Lord’. “Many people that are not known will be rise by destiny,” he prophesied. Talking about the current Nigerian political situation, Joshua said, “There will be a leadership tussle on who will lead and who will be presidential candidate in APC which will affect them as a political party. They should be vigilant. Many are with them in flesh but not with them in spirit.” Talking about the current crisis Nigeria’s ruling party PDP are embroiled in, the prophet stated that they would ‘pay any price to unite’ but that the issue of who would be the presidential candidate would cause challenges. “Many of the key leaders in political parties will go down in 2014,” Joshua then announced to the somber audience. “If many key leaders go down with 2014, what will now happen in 2015? Pray for 2015 to be fulfilled. The beginner is not the owner but the finisher.” He then stated to thunderous applause that 2014 would see a positive improvement for the nation in the area of corruption. “What will happen in 2014 will result in the correction of the corruption in Nigeria because many corrupt leaders will go down in 2014.” Joshua then prayed for the congregants who all lit candles to symbolize the dawn of the New Year. “God has promised that 2014 is the year of destiny. Your destiny cannot be changed. This New Year, your destiny cannot be tampered with. I command your dream to come true, your dream to come to fulfillment, in Jesus’ name.” Source : http://www.beatpluz.com/2014/01/beatpluz-gistz-tb-joshuas-shocking-2014.html?spref=tw&m=1 |

The police in Ibadan, Oyo State, has confirmed that the reported flying object found in the state on Sunday was only a toy and not a US drone as widely speculated in some sections of the media. This disclosure was made after the Chairman of Ido local government area of Oyo State, Professor Joseph Adeniyi Olowofela; accompanied by the police, SSS and members of the Civil Defence Corps, visited the place where the said spying object was discovered in Awotan, where it fell on the roof of a resident of the area. Olowofela expressed his disappointment at the reports that claimed that the toy was a US spy object. He charged the media to do more of investigative journalism rather than speculative reporting. He further expressed that the report was capable of causing strained relations between Nigeria and the US government. Also speaking was the creator of the said object, Sunday Folayan, who is an Electronic engineer. Sunday said he has produced many similar toys for his son in the past, explaining that he was playing with his son with the battery propelled toy when it got missing and all effort to get the toy back last week Sunday, when it got missing, proved abortive. Sunday, also the Vice President, Nigeria Internet Registration Association, gave a description of the toy. According to him, “the weight of the toy is 0.8 kilogram with the shape of an i-pad. It cannot run more than 15 minutes. It is not solar panelled, but uses battery and a remote control.” Source: http://aproko247.com/2013/12/30/ibadan-flying-object-only-a-toy-police/ |

A mysterious spacecraft, which residents of Awotan in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State called a “drone”, was reported to have crashed into a building at Omiremi Quarters in the community, leaving a crater on the roof of the building, just as aviation sources confirmed the object as a United States’ drone on an espionage mission in Nigeria. Considering the registration number, TX 5803, inscribed on a black battery under the craft, a source said the space craft must have taken off from NASA base in Texas in the US, stating that the battery attached to the spacecraft powered it and enabled it to move around so that it could do the bidding of those who sent it. Though many aviation sources told Sunday Tribune that the object could be a device used in espionage, another source, however, believed that the craft was a “nondescript aviation device”. It will be recalled that the United States of America has, in recent times, come under attack by other countries for spying on their activities which may have confirmed the discovery of the spacecraft in Ibadan. The craft, which was said to have dropped down from the orbit, flew into a toilet in the house of Ashipa of Awotan, Chief Tajudeen Adetoro, a few minutes after his grandson, Afeez Adewale and daughter-in-law, Adikat, left the toilet where they had gone to answer the call of nature. According to Chief Adetoro, the mysterious aircraft forced itself into the toilet through the roof making deafening sound, saying it could have killed Afeez and his mother, if it had met them in the toilet. The spacecraft, with a product number QR X30, has four stands and a rounded compartment housing its engine. It has a dry cell battery, USB drive, a censor and cables, while each of its stands has a two-way roving fan mounted on them. The residents of the sleepy community told Sunday Tribune that the object was not a toy due to the fearful noise it made and the way it flew about, adding that it could be an explosive. “When it flew out, we rushed after it and it was found hanging on the antennae of our neighbour…making a terrible noise and emitting heavy smoke,” Chief Adetoro narrated. He said they ran for safety on hearing the loud bang made on the roof of their house only to discover that the object had entered the toilet hitting its wall in an attempt to exit. Information obtained about the object from the internet revealed that it shares similarities with a device called Walkera QR X350 GPS which is sold for roughly $500. Though the product description on it is not intelligible, Sunday Tribune learnt that it could be a remote-controlled transmitter that gives no signal when in the air, but which is used for gathering information. FOR Afeez Adewale, a 16-year-old boy, sheer luck saved him and Adikat, his mother, from being sent to their early graves a few minutes after they left the toilet in their house, last Sunday, at Omiremi Quarters, Awotan, Ibadan. Afeez had gone to the toilet to answer the call of nature not long after his mother had come out of the same toilet only to hear a loud bang on the roof of their house, specifically the toilet. The object was said to have forcefully fallen on the roof of the toilet breaking through and shattering its asbestos. According to the Asipa of Awotan and landlord of the house, Chief Tajudeen Adetoro, it wasn’t long after Afeez and his mother left the rest room when they suddenly heard a frightening sound on the roof of the toilet. Chief Adetoro, who is Afeez’s grandfather, said it was God that saved the mother and son, saying the source of the drone-like object was unknown. “We were in panic; we were almost dead when we heard the sound suddenly and all of us scampered for safety. It was after a few minutes that we thought that hiding in the house was not the solution but to find a way to get the object out of our house due to the horrible and disturbing noise it was making that my son and I fearfully moved to the scene to know what it was. “When we got there, we stood a little away looking at it from a short distance. It was then we saw it clearly and it was seriously struggling making a frightening noise in its bid to find an escape route. As it was struggling, it was hitting every angle of the toilet walls forcefully shrieking and trying to exit the toilet. “It was during the struggle that it escaped through the same point it gained entry. When it flew out, we rushed after it and it was found hanging on the antenna of our neighbour. It hung there making a terrible noise and emitting heavy smoke. I think in the process of struggle to get it out, it lost one of its components, a stand. I asked my son to climb the facial board to remove it. “When he brought it down, it was heavy and there were so many red illuminating lights all over it blinking every second,” the chief narrated. He said when the material had been removed from where it was stuck so that they could examine it thoroughly, the object repeatedly tried to fly away. “It was then I asked my son to remove some of its compartments to render it inactive. We removed the battery, its censor, among others. At that time, everybody in the neighbourhood had gathered to see the wonderful object,” he added. Chief Adetoro said they initially thought it was a mere toy but after a close look, it was discovered that “the material could be a bomb, more so that ever since we captured and incapacitated it nobody had come looking for it because we initially felt that it was one of the toys parents bought for their children for Christmas and New Year. “Also, when we considered the manner with which it got in and exited, we felt that the object was being monitored and controlled from somewhere. After careful consideration and examination of the compartments of the object we thought it could be an explosive. “When nobody from this community came to claim it, we concluded that the object was more than what we thought it to be; it must have travelled a long distance,” Afeez’s father said. The Chief Imam of Awotan Central Mosque, Sheik Abdulai Adesina, and a woman who are both neighbours of Chief Adetoro confirmed the incident, saying “the sound of the object was highly terrifying and fearful.” When the object was examined, it is made up of components such as a dry cell battery, a censor housed by a white case, a USB (memory card) drive and a panel that is well cased as well as lots of cables. According to Chief Adetoro, the community had informed security agents about the incident and called for investigation on it, noting that if left unravelled, it would be difficult to douse tension and erase fear among the residents of the community who now believed that they were being targeted for attacks. The object, Sunday Tribune investigation revealed, has since been handed over to security operatives.
