Safyqueen:

There are 176,929 polling units in Nigeria.

And after the closure of the period for submission of party agents as required by Law, LP has less than 40,000 polling agents registered with INEC.

The implication of that is that in well over 136,000 polling units, they won’t have agents.

And that is the party some full grown adults with right thinking faculty keep saying will win the presidential election.
Keep chunking out lies from ur Anus just like ur mentor Tinubu. You know you and ur cohorts who are supporting a man with dementia and partial stroke/ brain damage are the ones without thinking faculty

Nations Newspaper just need to cook something to make Bulaba smile a little. Even Tinubu and Shetimma know they aint winning the election thats why they've been attacking Obi and forging different documents and fake news to drag him but they keep failing.

This is paid annually by the landlord only
Zahra29:

That may be the case, just as many rents in England also include council tax. However it is still a tax that needs to be paid - and I'm sure your landlord has factored the rates cost into your rent - so you are indirectly paying for it. Homeowners would be directly responsible for paying rates, so it is misleading to say that there is no council tax (or equivalent) in NI
Travel / Re: Advice To Every UK Japa Crew by efilefun(m): 6:16am On Jan 25, 2023
Always paid by landlord. You will never see any house for rent asking you to pay rate, it’s always paid by the landlord.
Zahra29:

Erm, yes they do. Only difference is that it's an equivalent tax called rates, not council tax.
How do you think services like bin collection, parks etc get funded?

#Copied

Northern Ireland doesn't use the council tax system, but has a system based on domestic rates. This means the value of your property is multiplied by a domestic rate based on the area you live in, and your tax bill is calculated by this.

Almost everyone who lives in a property in Northern Ireland has to pay rates. Rates pay for services throughout Northern Ireland; like schools, hospitals and roads; and for services in your local area; like bin collection, parks and leisure centres.
Make sure you know if it’s your responsibility or your landlord’s to pay rates if you rent from a private landlord or agency

Don't mind him.
I pay 23% tax in Nigeria #FACT, which would have been deducted before salary payment, what about Union dues?
Not to talk of electricity bill, petrol for generator and you will still service/repair the same generator oo, or else food kept in the fridge/freezer get spoilt (NEPA). Children school fees o and transport inflated by agberos.
Hospital? don't even go there. Now food and daily provisions.
Yet they complained about UK tax as if we don't pay all in Nigeria. Mention one thing we gained from tax paid over the years in Nigeria. Even as a oil producing country. SMH
They won't mention stability of what you paid for in same UK and how cheap food is compared to Nigeria.
Well, everyone should do what suits them.
Even the UK they all crying about depends on ur pay you won’t be paying 23% tax

I live in Sheffield and I can confidently say u don't live in UK. My new build house- semi terrace is 770/ month and that's on the high side. Average house rent is 600/month.
There's no way utility is up to 400 per month, what are u consuming.
U guys should relax. Una lie is becoming too annoying from both sides of the argument.
It’s crazily annoying… some people think UK revolves around England alone… saying places with cheap houses are villages without jobs… dude I live in Belfast which is the LONDON of Northern Ireland and my 2 bed terrace is 500pm and there’s enough jobs you can switch easily if the pay ain’t up to ur expectations. As for the bills, we don’t pay water or council tax here. Before this cold, my electric and gas bill is usually 80pm now it’s around 160-180pm so all those scary figures dude is chuncking out of the air is funny

We are not going on student route but on work visa though one person will move first will the rest of the family stayed back for some time. Moving the whole family at a go might be quite expensive and settling down could be challenging.
If it’s on work visa then that’s fine

Really?! undecided
All this misinformation is quite startling
You could say that the rate of council tax varies by county/location, but all parts of the UK are subject to council tax

Do your research before calling something misinformation. I live in Northern Ireland which is a part of UK and we don’t pay council tax.

Why are you lying, AXA is private Insurance, that's for rich people you as an immigrant going to take private health insurance good luck, even the citizens are not that in a rush to do that, they all pay NI. so your AXA insurance is bullshit sorry!lls
NEPA BILLS is a form of tax cos you pay for what you do not use unless you have prepaid, Don't 4get I live in Nigeria like , Im a Warri boy.

MOT, don't you pay that in Nigeria yearly unless you don't own a car so you wont know
Look do your research they way I did so you can make an informed argument, you are talking absolute Bshyte sorry but you have no clue.
There are taxes you must pay in the Uk whether you work or not these are basic to everyone
PAYE if you work and NI
Council Tax
these are the only two deduction you pay if you are a private individual and you work
There is nothing more every other tax is optional
Una go dey shout tax tax
when it comes to Bills, we all have bills UK Nigeria US, U use U pay
Even council tax is not everywhere in the Uk

Are you saying one partner should stay back with children permanently? Or advising that one person should stay for like 6 months before the rest of the family joins? Am asking for myself.
If it’s student route it’s better both husband and wife come in while the kids stay back at least for 6months or thereabout depending on their age… when just the student come in, it will be difficult to raise money to complete the school fee and live. But with a partner that can work 40hrs and above then you can take care of your bills. Another thing the OP failed to mention is that everywhere ain’t as expensive as LONDON. Also the UK compromises of other countries which are not extremely expensive to live in. For example in Northern Ireland you will get a very comfortable 2bed duplex for 600£ monthly and you can get a job that pays close to that weekly after tax if you take overtime shift.

Forget about the Muslim Muslim ticket that’s actually meaningless if both of them are competent. This Tinubu is just brain dead, can’t imagine someone who can’t answer questions from his speech lead Nigeria or is it someone who carries a bag everywhere to store his pee…either you are a Christian or Muslim, voting tinubu or Atiku shouldn’t even cross your mind if you truly wish Nigeria well.

Chief, as a Nigerian in the UK forget say na you be dependant, you can turn everything around only if you can stay focused. Immediately you get in, try getting a care job that sponsors... you automatically become the main applicant while she becomes the dependant. And if she mess up while on your dependant visa you can get her off your visa and na naija straight for her.... if you can code or into those top it stuffs you will easily get sponsorship job with good pay also. The main thing is once you get there just stay focused on your goal, dont get distracted and abeg no fight her.

If you are old enough please tell us when the money was released? Was it released during Tinubu tenure or after he left?
Lagos got all its federal allocations during Amoda Ogunlere's (Tinubu) tenure the only allocation that was paused when illegal local governments were created was that of local governments and not that of the state itself.... if you are new to politics or too young to understand there is difference between LG allocation and STATE allocation speak out and you will be properly educated.

That wouldnt have been possible without the foundation Tinubu laid.
Don't pretend not to know that Tinubu ran Lagos without federal allocation for some years becaise Obj seized the allocation......it's this allocation that UMYA released to Fashola and the huge improvement in IGR that Tinubu handed over to him that he used to build on the foundations already laid by Tinubu.
Nobody can dispute this
Dude stop posting trash on a public forum, show me a proof Lagos didn’t get federal allocation under tinubu… local government funds were stopped when he increased local government from 20 to 56 but the state kept getting its own allocations without one naira missing… if you attribute fashola’s success to tinubu then you are a novice cuz Jakande drew Lagos master plan.

WOW!cheesy I'm delighted to know that you got a pharmacist role. Someone once posted that it's quite a rigorous process for a foreign-trained pharmacist to work in the UK. Can you share details of how you were able to get a UK pharmacy job, including any registrations?
Been trying to settle… been fun and kinda tedious…lol

I am an EU trained Pharmacist so that reduced the license brouhaha.

Got the job through LinkedIn
Did interview Mid January got Job confirmation email following day and got CoS 3days after
Dependent and I applied for police report from previous countries we lived thru their embassies
Got naija police report and did TB test
We both submitted our visa application same day but passport was returned a week interval

For license it was straight forward, just download and submitted application form via email and paid 398 pounds, got a letter from naija pharmacists council (thou they delayed for almost 3months before finally sending via email) another from country of study and no IELTS was required, only used NARIC for Visa application

The job is in Belfast, you see vacancies at every care home you pass thru here… yet to fully settle would have made some inquiries… peps can try searching care homes in Belfast, Carrickfegus, Newry, Newtownabbey, whitehead and the likes.
