The Edos are great people and they can live with most of the other tribes in Nigeria very peacefully. They blend well with the Yorubas, Igbos, Hausas, Other Niger Deltan tribes etc. If you look closely, you will find a little of every culture in Edo land. However, it is a well known and established fact that the Edos and Yorubas have a very long history together. Indeed of all the major languages, Edo is closest to Yoruba. |
Excellent! |
Amen! |
A little analogy: those who go to the moon have a clearer view of the earth than those who live on the earth. Most Nigerians in Nigeria can only relate with the little events that happen in their towns / villages. On top of that, where is the electricity to even watch the local news? Another thing that makes the view clearer from ouside Nigeria is the fact that when you go out to see how things work, you can then appreciate how terrible the Nigerian situation is. That's when you can know why Nigeria is not working and ideas can be birthed to tackle these problems we face. |
Agriculture (Livestock, foodstuff), power (dams), solid minerals. I think the north has enormous potentials but their leaders / customs have pulled them back and placed them at a disadvantage. People like Sanusi & El-Rufai should take over d leadership of d north. |
Let the private investors come in and supply power to the industrial / commercial hubs. The "spill-over" power can then be distributed to neighboring communities. We have the market and FG is introducing the right policies. All that is left is assurance of the "security" of investments. |
Delta desperately needs to join the league of progressive states. I hope Ogboru moves to ACN in order to be in a better position to liberate Delta State from the shackles of tyrants like Uduaghan. As there was an Oshiomhole after a Lucky, may there be an Ogboru after an Uduaghan. |
On the contrary, I think many of them even have a clearer view than those in the country. Whenever I'm outside 9ja, I tend to know more about the happenings in 9ja than my friends / family back home! |
This is the right time to say: Fall and die! Fall and die!! Fall and die!!! Mu che che che (c) |
Good thinking. The earlier we go "regional" the better. The FG can hardly perform when they don't feel the direct impact of such infrastructure. It's better to allow those who feel the pain handle their infrastructure. Let the states do this and the FG will reimburse or allow them toll the roads / collect proceeds from the rail line for like 20 years. In fact, FG should not be in the business of maintaining roads outside FCT. |
Good news. More spiritual missiles please! |
Hasty generalization. Not all ACN govs are bad. People like Fashola and Oshiomhole have proven themselves to be amongst the top 5 govs in Nigeria. |
Don't you dare release any of their rams from custody. At least they have admitted that the ram in custody is a boko ram member. In fact, the name is Abu something. . . So whateva, the right guy is in the net. We need to smoke 'em all out. Shikena. |
Interesting write-up. I don't know why but I believe this is at least 80% true. It reminds me of all the IBB statements, his fight with OBJ, the claims by GEJ that he knows who the bombers are, etc. Atiku & IBB are my prime suspects. |
When I saw this topic, I knew some Buhari worshipers would soon come in and claim there was no strike during his tenure. There is an overwhelming amount of information freely available both online and offline to prove that his regime was not devoid of strikes. This is despite his cruel ban on strikes and his terrible human rights records. |
I score him G10 (Worse than F9). Since the new IG took over, there has been a marked difference. That alone speaks volumes. How a high value criminal escaped under his nose is a pointer to his incompetence coupled with the abysmal state of security all thro his tenure. |
@norrisman, no it's not d same guy. The ram in the video is their leader, abubakar shekau. The one arrested is their spokes ram, who goes by the pseudonym: abu qaqa. |
Banana republic of boko rams information minister captured. |

Al-Mustapha, Shofolahan appeal death sentence January 31, 2012 by Ade Adesomoju Leave a Comment Convicted former presidential Chief Security Officer, Major Hamza al-Mustapha, and his co-convict, Lateef Shofolahan, have challenged the death sentence passed on them by a Lagos High Court on Monday. Mustapha was the CSO to the late head of state, Gen. Sani Abacha, while Shofalahan was an aide to Kudirat. Both men filed separate notices of appeal at the Court of Appeal, Lagos against the judgment of a Lagos High Court. The high court had on Monday sentenced them to death for the murder of the late Alhaja Kudirat Abiola. Justice Mojisola Dada, in the judgment, said the convicts are to die by hanging “until pronounced dead.” However, in their notices of appeal filed at the Court of Appeal, Lagos at about 1.50pm on Tuesday, the each of the convicts sought for an order of the appellate court allowing the appeal and setting aside the judgment. http://www.punchng.com/news/al-mustapha-shofolahan-appeal-death-sentence/ |
What a "chameleon" company! |
Speak to your line manager. But have a solution ready for him e.g. A budget review which will put things in the right perspective. Everyone makes mistakes. |
Who even gave Sahara Reporters a license in the first place? |
So we can now safely conclude that Al Mustapha is a grand patron of boko rams. |
Nice piece. This article has something that many Africans unfortunately, cannot relate with. Does it not interest you to know why the Americans act all manner of movies with all manner of theories? It's called scenario making. It helps you to prepare for the "unexpected". Just think of likely and unlikely events and make a script out of it. You may be right on one or two of these scenarios. This is what keeps USA ahead of the game. |
Compared to our legislators, who earns more? |
Good thing. He already has too much home based trouble to worry about. |
If we split, I foresee some form of cooperation between the SE, SW, SS and possibly NC. It won't be as bad as you think. |
I hope this is true. Excellent! ![]() |
Triple gbam to Femi Fani-Kayode for this write up. |
If any of these governors still has a brain inside his upper cavity, he would begin to do something about the foolish almajiri system and other retrogressive practices. It is not enough to declare war on boko rams. They have to embark on an ideological revolution for the good of their people. Boko rams is just the tip of the iceberg. There's more where that came from. What they are doing now is a good start but they shouldn't stop there cos it's like pouring water and fuel into a fire at the same time. |
