In our meetings we all agreed that only those deeply conversant with the national problems should occupy nigeria's presidential office in 2011.having come upclose face to face with the national problems during his years as police chief, its clear mr balogun is high on the list of such material. ![]() hmmmmmmm I reserve my comment ![]() |
@ babyosisi If you guys can afford it,you ought to convince your husband that you guys need to move out and find your own apartment.I'm not quite sure this will resolve the issue, My mother is about 6,000 miles away and we still battle over this issue regularly. This is a major problem that has no ethnic and/or colour barrier. Fervent prayers and divine wisdom are some tools that you can use to approach this problem. After nine years of marriage, this is still an issue in our house. |
Sometimes it amazes me how people comment on this site. Just to prolong this discussion. ![]() very simple - to allow his 'son' Andy Uba to rule the state. Thanks Debosky, I which other people can apply common sense (which at times is not common) when posting. |
Can someone please school me on why OBJ will witch-hunt Dr. Ngige? Find enclosed Mr. Achebe's interview with Amy Otchet (UNESCO journalist) http://www.unesco.org/courier/2001_06/uk/dires.htm Disclaimer:- I'm not OBJ greatest fan. |
For every two steps forward, take one step backwards–that’s the way you described the “experiment known as Nigeria” about 20 years ago in an interview. What phase is the country in now?The question we need to ask Mr. Chinua Achebe is Sir, what has changed? Culled from the UNESCO Website |
May be Achebe should have endorsed Andy and Chris Uba. He has never been silent on Nigerian issues. He refused to accept a presidential award from OBJ.and what impact has he had? I'll like to hear his opinion on Atiku. |
This present administration has been a work in progress, of cause their are still signs of corruption, lack of basic infrastructure and needs. I can attest to this, because my dad died of cardiac arrest, which he could have been saved from if we had good medical facilities in Nigeria (topic for another day). However, we do see progress and some foundation been laid which I strongly believe that the future generation will benefit from, if the next administration continues from where OBJ stops. In my own opinion, this writing from Chinua Achebe is just another way of openly endorsing Dr. Ngige - why has this man been silent for a while? Is Chinua Achebe just noticing all the flaws in this government. Because Chinua Achebe is a renowed poet and "the most widely read author of the 20th century" does not necessarily mean that he his politically savvy! |
Real Estate is cyclical and should be considered as a long term investment. I have a two bed house in the south east area of London, I was lucky to have purchase this house sometimes in 2003 and it currently has an equity of roughly £25,000. I don't believe you can go wrong with real estate anywhere in the world. |
Played in the UK Single/Doubles Table-Tennis Univeristy Open in 1992. The key is to have a good paddle, which you can return a server, "robo", "loop" and "esha" ![]() |
Ribadu must go while EFCC organization is restructured.Of cause we do need a change, b'cos the chairmanship of EFCC is not a lifetime position. The present administration and Nuhu Ribadu and his team should still be recognized for living something positive behind. |
Cat -- very chewy , be very careful if you visit Senegal it is regularly served with ogogoro. snake -- too much bone, taste like fish |
Things are now unfolding, the can of worms are slowly opening. I was slightly disappointed by Mr. Ribadu's comment yesterday, he needs to stay away from all this mess and focus more on bringing people to justice (difficult job if you ask me, in a lawless country like ours). This report once again confirms that ATIKU is not fit to rule Nigeria. OBJ on the other hand needs to understand that he does not own Nigeria - pushing a candidate like Umaru Yar'dua and Jonathan Goodluck is just a cover-up for him not to be later on probed. In my opinion, I think OBJ had good intentions when he became president in 1999, but was surrounded by sharks and thieves! It is not easy to rule such a country like Nigeria - which makes me question the candidacy of Umaru Yar'dua. Only time will tell what will become of our lovely nation. At times I wonder if the black race is truly cursed! |
3 plot all together @ Olokonla Ajah axis =#3m Plots of land at Awoyaya/Shangotedo =#500-#1.5 Do you have the C of O on this? |

@ GRAgirl [quote(second question.,. is there anywhere i can buy snails for cheaply in London?)]

Deptford or Peckham |
Mimiko was a Minister for about one and half years. This is a short time to get much done given the nature of Nigerian bureaucracy.Leadership is not rocket science, you either have it or not. Expect the same excuse from this man after the end of his first term (if elected). How can you explain a person with the vision of leading a state flip-flopping better political parties? Bro- that should tell you about him! |
@ Imnakoya What did Mimiko do when he was the minister of housing and urban developments? Please enlighten us on what he will do for Ondo State?? |
Yepa, hear what the inspector general of police for naija has to say to the people of Nigeria. I rest my case as my blood pressure is high enough for now ![]() |
I'll like to hear them explain this --- hemm, na poison wey them put for food or them drug us or maybe they will cite time zone difference. This is terrible!! If you're cut sleeping on your job, should you not be fired?? |
Au Revior to Ogun efon, what a silly excuse of blaming Martins for not showing up This man should not be anywhere near Nigerian football? I welcome Vogt with open hands. Sleeping Eagles need some transformation and the fact of the matter is that this oyinbo man will do it! |

@ Afam Can someone answer this question without sentiments or bias?Hmmm, did we just notice this? Clearly we've seen this coming as a nation and there has been a lot of commentaries on the plot to extend the election date. For Christ sake, was INEC expecting a big-bang election registration process? Where is the efforts put into planning?? Who should we blame for this The question I would ask is will the INEC folks ever be ready? If this administration is truly ready to hand-over power, then they should be chewing somebody's rear end publicly! |
@Mckren Why should the US meddle into our internal affairs? If Nigeria sneezes, America will catch some cold. The result of political instability in Nigeria will affect the free flow of OIL in America. Obviously with Atiku been snookered with Buhari and Yar'dua this man understands that he has no chance of becoming Nigeria's next president. So I want to believe that he his trying to make life difficult for Mr. President to easily pass the batton onto Yar'dua. Unfortunately we the people are the recipient of this mess - because when 2 elephants clash it is the grass that suffer ![]() |
Please also add an ML320 1999 model to the list. I'm interested on how much this will sell for in Nigeria. |
Sit back and watch, no be naija politics? There are still more surprises to come One thing for sure, come May'07 OBJ will be out of office and neither IBB nor ATIKU will be Nigeria's next president. |
The world bank doesn't give a toss, this is lucrative business for them. There is less than 6 months left for this adminstration, we do not need another LOAN! |
1) Nigeria is over 46 years old and yet basic ammenties like water, electricity, telephone are not available to everyone. Is this too difficult to implement? This has been promised by almost every regime but has not been brought to fruition. 2) WAI - which was established by the Buhari regime should be re-enacted. This is an avenue which the government can rigourously fight corruption and maintain certain things we've implemented. This has worked in Singapore, making them the cleanest and less corrupt country in the world. 3) Revamp the police force. If these folks are armed and paid regularly we will see a drastic reduction in bribery and their collaborative efforts with armed bandits. 4) Improve Nigeria's macroeconomics situation, particularly the area of inflation and GDP per capita. 5) EFCC should investigate (Atiku, Buhari, IBB, OBJ & other cohorts) and indict these folks if found guilty of public funds misappropriation. I specifically mentioned these folks, because they are either in office or fighting to get back into political office. |
Good point stranger12. If the administration is trying to get Nigeria out of debt why go out and lend again? I thought we have $40 billion in reserve - something does not sound right ![]() My people what do you have to say on this?? |
Yep, Where is ODEKU and Big B1 I'll like to hear there input on this! |
For your information, Fasawe is from OSHODI town, Justice Iyanda is out of the IKEJA Judicial division. Are you surprised by this outcome?? |
Culled from http://odili.net/news/source/2006/nov/27/25.html I'll retire to teaching, says Atiku CONTRARY to expectation in many quarters, Vice President Atiku Abubakar on retirement from public office will head for the classrooms to become a teacher. The Vice President disclosed the ambition of his yesterday in Yola, the Adamawa State capital at the founders' day celebration of the ABTI-American University of Nigeria (AAUN), which he founded. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) this is the university the Vice President is planning retiring to as a teacher. The Vice President said the masterplan of the school made provision for the founder's residence. He explained that the school was not accessible to the poor, because it was conceived to capture the category of Nigerians who sent their children to the U.S. He said he had built several community schools for both primary and secondary education in his town, Ganye, in Adamawa to provide education to rural poor. Vice President Abubakar explained that he decided to provide the American type of education because of what the country stood to gain from it and said the U.S. was the most advanced country in the world and the only super power. "I believe that this greatness is brought about by education," he added. He commended the pioneer students and faculty of the school for their doggedness in ensuring that the university took off. Earlier in a tribute, Chairman of AAUN board of trustees, Dr. Ahmed Joda, flayed a section of the country that treated women education with disdain. "I am not happy with our attitude to female education because it means that half of the population will not participate in development," he said. Joda commended Atiku for setting up the school and explained that it was an effort to uplift the human being. The President of AAUN, Dr. David Huwiler, who also spoke, said that with the university, "Nigerian students can now, in Yola, acquire the type of education that is available in Europe and America." Founder's Day is a traditional celebration in the U.S. universities, which recognises the founding of the university, the vision of those instrumental in its founding and the dedication of those who carry out its traditions. AAUN was established by the Vice President in collaboration with the American University, Washington and its first set of students are currently in their second year. This is from a man who wants to rule Nigeria! And for those who are STILL interested in finding out "HOW TO LOOT PUBLIC FUNDS" Alh. (Dr) Atiku will be available very soon. |
@ Atiku07 Perhaps you know something that I don't know, hen, so I'll temporarily humble myself and listen to what you have to say. However, the challenge I have with people like you is that you gubble things up and do the thinking after you've spoken If not, pull out your facts on Atiku and let us know what he has done for Nigeria People like you are only interested in enriching your pocket and pushing the country's infrastructure backwards ![]() |

The question I would ask is will the INEC folks ever be ready?
