violent: Why do People make this thing an "American" thing? when so many countries are involved?
America was one of the last countries to back military support, i don't see anyone mentioning France on this thread.
As for those who think because coalition forces haven't intervened in genocidal cases in the past, it shouldn't do the same in the future or the present, I wonder if you people have an IQ figure the same number as your age. Lives have been lost the man should just step down |

pro01: Unfortunately that is so true (in many, not all cases). But I find that it is more so if the good looking person is somewhat personable and 'charming' - armed with a self-deprecating down to earth charisma. Several times I've noticed how a decent smile on a fine face (whether male or female) can help one get away with a multitude of sins. For real.
But on the other hand, an arrogant demeanour, or self-satisfied countenance on a fine face can often be counter- productive as it could stir insecurities and angst in other people and thus earn you a double dose of ill-treatment. Seconded |

Kobojunkie: Jonathan spent 8 years as Deputy Governor/Governor in Balyesa, a deep Niger Deltan State, and he has no clue about his own people's issues. He did NOTHING for his own people during that time and enriched himself while he was at it, doing Nothing.
We celebrate people like Amaechi Rotimi ( A Niger Deltan Governor for 4 years) for the visible improvements he has made to his state in such a short time. Also Peter Chime who in only 4 years as Governor of Enugu State has transformed the state in so many ways. Then there is Fashola in Lagos State who has helped improve one of the most populous states in the country in 4 years. Jonathan had 8 years to work with and did nothing in all that time in one of the most funded but least populated states in the country.
The same man has been in Aso Rock for almost 4 years and he has again done NOTHING for his people from Aso Rock. He is still promising them all but has yet to deliver anything to them from there.
Pray tell, why would any Niger Deltan in his right senses want to vote for the same man that has neglected them 12 years straight to return for another 4 years? Why would anyone wish this one the same people who endured it for 8 years and then another 4 ?
Whether he wins or not is a non issue to people like me who have accepted that it is probably the case that Nigerians will vote the status quo continues for yet another term. But I would appreciate some solid rational reason for why, not the usual I FEEL IT AND SO I DO IT lines and again sily posts without facts to backup your claims |

1025: @babasoty, did i hear u say, make him look silly? in your wiseness, what can be more educating than a president meeting with an ex-convict to get his support on election. our children will be happy to see a president seeking the support of famous criminals in his desperateness to remain the president. instead of treating bode george like an outcast that he is, he is recieving a presidential visit. decorating criminals with our tax payers' money. this is a shame of a jungle called nigeria. who will imagine jonathan descending so low. look at alams an ex-convict turned into a national hero by jonathan, look at tony annenih and now bode george. did u listen to jonathan call babangide his father and a role model? i wish nigeria will crash over night such a place is not worthy of existance. take that back Nigeria will not crash u people should stop saying rubbish |

ogugua88: I hope none of you are hating on her due to jealousy. If you have legitimate reasons or facts as to why it's better to give birth in Nigeria, please present them. If I had the resources, I would conduct a survey on all women in Nigeria. "Out of the two nations, where would you prefer to give birth to your child/children: England/UK or Nigeria?" Underneath those two choices, I will list the benefits of each; benefits including healthcare, infant mortality rate, etc.
Speaking as someone born in the US, I am very glad my parents left Nigeria in the 1980s to give me better life here. They tell me the story all the time, and I always express my gratitude. If they stayed in Nigeria, I'm assuming I'll be stuck like the rest of my family. It's unfortunate, but it's also the truth. If a woman/parents had the choice, they would maximize benefits for their child/children. Is that not common sense anymore? people are just jealous wonder there I's so much debate someone else's life |

amara1979: You guys should realise that we are in the information age, and who ever controls the information wins the day. Thats why men like Gbenga Daniels (The Compass Newspapers), Orji Kalu (The Sun Newspapers), Bola Tinubu (The Nation Newspapers) and the rest of them established Newspaper houses. The simply use it to spread the kind of information that they desire to spread. Not that when Orji Kalu left PDP, the Sun Newspapers wrote a lot of trash against OBJ. Now that he is back in PDP there story is a bit balanced.
Its thesame game Tinubu is playing with the nation Newspapers. When Ribadu was in EFCC and was against Tinubu, the Nation Newspapers wrote a lot of trash about him. Now that he is in bed with Tinubu, thesame newspaper is praising him.
ALWAYS VERIFY ANY INFORMATION YOU READ ON THE NATION NEWSPAPERS BEFORE SWALLOWING IT, ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS POLITICAL.
Tinubu is merely using his Newspapers (the nation) to send out the kind of information that will work against his enemies and also favour him and his party. Tinubu should stop using his Newspaper (The Nation) to do his propaganda. He has often succeeded in using the media to confuse people and to turn them away from the truth, I am sure that is why he established the Nation Newpapers. He should go to EFCC and clear his name, if he knows he has nothing to hide. It is the same judiciary that was used to destroy the PDP in all the states where they rigged elections and gave power to the right people (the actual winners). So, why is he now afraid. He can never be convicted if his hands are clean. Our judicial system has given us hope that justice can never be denied anymore. Tinubu and his people should stop bringing the opposition, any other person or groups into this issue, He should go and CLEAR HIS NAME. Stop crying wolf, when nothing like that exists!!!
I decided to use this medium because the nation newspapers will not bring out any comment on their website that goes against Tinubu. They will bring out a lot of comments that supports tinubu and only bring out a very little that mildly says otherwise in order to make it seem as if they a neutral. not doubting u but u could post facts to backup your claims |
