Good day mothers in the house. I'm a new & ftm & also new to this thread. I have a 2weeks old baby who sleeps all thru the night without waking up to eat & its getting me scared & worried as I've been told that babies her age are supposed to eat every 2-3hrs. No matter what method I try to engage her - play, change diaper, force breast & feeding bottle, she wouldn't budge. I'm quite worried & depressed because she was born quite small. I breastfeed & also complement with formula. I'm quite worried because she still has same physique as we brought her home 2wks ago. Mothers, please what should I do?

PART 2
Sharp sharp, I pull cloth, was given hospital gown, wore my socks, they ran the IV, filled all the necessary forms & was wheeled to my room - induction don start, no food, only ice. Na so different Drs & nurses were coming in, then came the insertion of balloons - my jajaina hear word that day. I could only get to 2cm with the balloons after almost 24hrs, they were removed & then they inserted cytotec after almost another 24hrs again took me to 4cm, then they opted for pitocyn (drip) na so I begged for epidural which was administered & I stopped feeling any pain all these while I had machines attached to me/my body reading heart rates of me & baby, I didn't exceed 4cm, after some few minutes, I was given a mask to wear for oxygen supply to my Angel, I think after about an hr or two, different Drs surrounded my bed, my BP almost blow their monitoring system o, then the leading Dr said, we would have to take u in for a c-section as each time we apply the pitocyn, the baby's heart drops, do you have any objection? See this dr o, I'm ready o!!!! Are u against blood transfusion blablabla, if the case becomes severe, your uterus might be removed blablabla sermon............ Dr, let's go o!!! I was prepared immediately in less than 15 mins for the Surgery, off I was wheeled into the theater. Within 3mins I heard her cry, tho it would stop intermittently, I wasn't even able to see, touch or hold her as she was taken away immediately to the NICU. They did all the repair work & I was wheeled to the recovery room, it was at the recovery room I was able to ask a nurse, who told me she was in the Nursery cos of her weight but I should be rest assured that she's doing fine. After about 4hours & I was stable, I was wheeled again to my room, where I was for 3days (Sunday-Wednesday) & was discharged with my lil munchkin, but not after been scrutinized by many tests & screening (had CT & EKG done to ascertain my BP), had blood transfusion (2units). It's day 12 already after child birth & my tummy still hurts, Gyn says it's the #enemy# fibroids as my abdomen feels tender & my belly button hurts like it wants to tear open, but in all, God's been faithful, yellow pepper is doing just fine & Dad is happy back home in 9ja.

PART 1
So, it happened that I went for my routine ANC on the 6th of July after all the preliminaries, it was my turn to see Dr. After examination & giving her my week 34 & week 37 sonogram reports (cos I had one done a day before ANC) & she went thru them, me I didn't kukuma read them when I was given. The next thing, was we will be admitting you today (I was exactly 37 weeks that day)as your scans are reading IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction) all thanks to fibroids (had nine of them according to the scan) sharing nutrients with my Angel and there was no need making her wait till labour starts or till 40 weeks. Omo, my heart broke into tiny bits and I was like can I call my Aunt, go home & pack my stuffs? She was like you would have to sign a consent form (that I left on my own volition), which I did anyways, called my Aunt, she picked me up, went home, carry my kaya (hospital bags) & we drove to the L & D as they were already expecting me. Was admitted into the triage, where they checked for my vitals & NST (non-stress test) that was when the Dr there made another discovery - my amniotic fluid index for week 34 was 13.92cm; while for week 37 was 5.81cm & says since I'm already term, it will keep dropping which isn't good for the baby, even if baby was doing fine according to the NST. Only option - IOL (induction of labour)

To the glory of God & shame of the devil, I welcomed my real oyibo princess on 7/8/18 via EMCS, with baby weighing 2.5kg. BS in a bit!! Tho I'm still recuperating from the wound, fibroids pain & belly button pain. Sorry for the late alert!!!

Team July how’s everything? We're in week 30/31/32/33/34+. Hope we're fine and through with shopping/washing? June is next week Friday and some of us may port to June, so we've to prepared.
Sorry for the BH, excess pooing, tummy pain, leg cramps, back ache, difficulty sleeping or standing up from the bed, painful and tiring walking steps, vomiting and loss of appetite.
Please anybody that knows anybody that knows kareenakapur should please tell her that we're worried.
Please try and provide LO gender if known.

So my baby finally opened and is XY well according to scan. 34weeks today, 6weeks to go. Shopping done and dusted. Excess pooing dealt with me last night that I was sweating and crying, took 3 sachets of water. Difficulty turning in bed, waddling.

It'll surely end in praise.

@FloraEC cappo, I'm good or rather we're good. Waddling small small dey go, kicks are regular no cause for alarm, still glowing daily & fortunately against the notion of what they normally say "ur nose will swell, look somehow, crave sandsand/stone/sawdust/junk" I never experience all those o, ain't I & LO lucky? #don't envy# thanks for checking tho.

You can go ahead and book your ticket with the old passport since it hasn't expired.
Same thing happened to me. My passport was to expire in June and I applied for another in Feb. I booked my ticket with my old passport and got the new one march ending. I travelled with both passports earlier this month with no issue.

House please help me! I've applied for passport renewal (have my visa already in my passport not fully expired yet, will expire in September) since I asked for knowledge from gurus here, they've still not gotten back to me with the new passport & the longer it takes, the higher flight fare. Do I go ahead to get the ticket with my passport at hand or wait for the new one as my trip is in 3weeks time (next month)? But I'm hopeful of getting the new one before I travel. Will I have issues at the airport if I travel with both eventually with the booking details carrying the "old passport" details? I need to book & get the tickets at most by weekend.
NB: Nigeria factor of no booklet

Team July, how are we doing? Hope everything is fine and we're seriously counting down. We thank God for the journey so far, for His protection cos is not by our power but by His Grace. We're in week 26/27/28/29+ already and July is 2months to come. Try and provide baby's gender if known.

Hope there's no problem so far and we've started small small shopping for our bun(s)? . Please don't be like me, meanwhile someone opened bale yesterday evening in my street and I bought few unisex clothes for my lo, I can't even find my hospital list so I'll request for another one.

Am I the only one experiencing BH especially after urinating and also excess long urine? Menh this morning own hooked me that I stayed like that till it released.

Please mama's that are breaking my heart should stop and answer the roll call. Please I'm worried.

Present Ma'am! Ehhhn Captain. We're doing great by God's grace, just that as I'm entering 27th week, a new dimension is surfacing, I'm just feeling weak & throwing up what I eat as breakfast after the throw up, I will just recover once, then of late there's this hurtful pain on my right pelvic region, gushhhh my muscles & bones there will just hook sotay I started feeling abi I didn't lie down well or sit properly & injure LO? The pain will be there for like 5mins (is that the BH? Donno). Did scan & the sonographer said XX but was laughing after he asked the s*x I want, weda he dey use me play I don't know, I will go for another in 2weeks time, tho. No fetal anomaly seen, placenta is antero-fundally sited not lying low, says everything is fine & rhymes with LMP save for the fibroids but I'm doing good, new EDD seen 24th. Thanks for checking/roll call. wink

Mamas in the house & cappo @FloraEC #teamjuly#, please, I would need ur input or suggestion on this, as an FTM & most likely having LO via CS, do/should I still continue using PALMER'S COCOA BUTTER STRETCH MARK FORMULA, since "they" say applying lotions or moisturizers on the tummy isn't advisable for pregnant women, especially candidates for CS? Should I stop or continue?

Yea, cappo. Thanks for always checking now, I'm very good, kicks are kinda frequent now but didn't feel the kicks for like two days (Saturday & Sunday) was scared to the bones, but today na war; na gbum gbum gbum I dey hear, no break grin

& my lil niece who observed the movement of my dress was like "something is kicking inside ur stomach" I was just laughing, so dearest cappo, I'm GOOD & can urinate 10litres in one night shocked

Quick one please, while traveling down to Nigeria with baby, does the baby's US passport need a Nigerian visa on it if the Nigerian passport can't be gotten (probably due to booklet shortage) or will the VOA suffice? Donno if I'm making sense tho or asking the right question undecided

or "we" are just returning with US passport & VOA acceptance printout?

thanks capo, yea, the pains have gone down & every other just my weight been static, that's all. Sex/gender wud be done next ANC visit. Not true just came into the US via Atlanta poe under similar scenario 2 days ago and no issues what so ever,just use rubber band to bind both covers of passport together and you are good to go

It has happened to me a couple of times. Your old passport will be cancelled without prejudice but your visa will still be very valid! You will just travel with both passports at all times

Renew your passport, NIS will cancel the old one but your US visa on it will still remain valid till it expires. Attach both the new and old passport together and carry both while travelling. Happened to my wife one time.

invalidates visa that I've not used that's just barely 3months. This is the confusion I'm talking about. Who has been in my shoes oooo?

Please house, I know this might have been treated before but kinda confusing. I crave ur indulgence to please help or throw more light, I have my visa already but my passport would be expiring in September(ending) & intend traveling by May (ending), is there any need renewing my passport b4 traveling as the validity would be exactly 4months when I land the POE? Getting confused & really worked up about this 6months thingy. Thanx.
NB: visa was issued early January

Here I was crying I have a big bump, urs is way bigger but very cute & sits good on U as well, on the other side, just returned from ANC now & I'm measuring 32" at just week 22, matron dey put fear for my body, chief consultant had to calm my nerves tho, bless God for the journey so far. @StrongWoman, thanks for the assurance too kiss
