Just completed Level 2 and left with Level 3. So might advise to take a schedule break to gain sometime .

alternative is pay 8k + and quickly complete Level 3 and head home.

Asylum is not an option. I dont encourage asylum, its a lot of lie and outcome not sure.

Getting married for the purpose of PR is also not an option. Maybe work permit, this could be the best option where we could explore. But one have to explore with care.

Any one seen a case where a student graduated from a program that isnt gpwp eligible. What alternative plan does the person have.

@AbelAbdul if you have your full tuition go ahead to pay it. This doesnt garanteen your visa, but give a better change. I have seen people that paid full tuition and still got deny student visa. But if you have it, please go ahaead and make the full tuition deposit.

Also what good to note, if you have your accommodation money or living expenses totallying to around 23k cad. Just go ahead with opening a bank account and do your GIC

I want to apply for study permit this month. My school said I should pay 2k CAD to get my LOA. I mailed my school that I want to pay more money for tuition fee and accommodation. The school said that the tuition fee is paid based on courses registered and I can only know how much I will pay in July during course registration. for accommodation, I can only pay in June.
Should I pay only the 2k CAD and apply for study permit?

If the vistor visa for the kids are expiring 30th August 2026, when best should the mum bring them in for the airline not to prevent them from leaving nigeria.

They will have less than 2months or less left on visitor visa. The other option is adding them to the mum visitor visa, but that would make the application a bit complicated student visa with accompanying 5 dependants

I mentioned some courses of the curriculum of my school, ( I listed the specific courses I will be learning) and explained how those courses are in line with what my company needs at this time to take us to the next level. I also Stated one or two people in the industry internationally and locally in Nigeria who are my role model and how I researched on each of them. I also stated how having an MBA took their businesses to another level etc) and how I want to be as successful as them in my own country upon my return. My SOP was very detailed.

• A document providing explanation of Funds for my study. ( I provided a detailed analysis of my available funds and captured that on an excel sheet before transferring it to a word doc. I also stated sources of funds to fund my year 2 tuition and living expenses for myself and kids. ( A friend advised me to do this breakdown as this shows clarity and confidence before the VO that you have planned ahead and are able to cater for your program for year two also. She said this also helped her in her application, my friend has been in Canada for 2 years now, she also went on study visa)

Thanks. We are gathering documentation to apply next week. The husband will not join in applying just the 2boys and my aunt.

She also have a friend who also got same program in Uregina - Leadership. Her friend also plan to come with her family, she has 2biological kids (15years and 12years) + 1 step son ( that already applied for stdent visa separately) + 2 adopted kids ( 5years and 8years) . the beuty with her friend application was that they all secured visit visa last year. And her biological kids visit visa would expired August because that was when the passport expires while the 2 adopted kids also has visa expiratio for around August. The step son visa expires in 2028, while her visitor visa was 10years. She plan to resume studies in August. They ask me for my opinion and I tol them I will try check from my guru friend in a forum.

For teh minor kids, should the join the mother apply for studies permit or they shouldnt , just travel with the mum and ask at point of entry they plan to study elementary sand high school. Any thought house.

Congratulations to your aunt on her admission. Traveling with 2 minors while the husband remains in Nigeria is not a ground for refusal; however, there are some concerns.
1. How will she balance school + childcare while studying?
2. Is there family support in Canada?
3. Enough finances to cover the entire family
Once his wife and kids are in Canada, his ties to Nigeria weaken in the officer's eyes. To prove his must show very strong home ties. She and the kids can apply while the husband applies to visit later.
She will need a consent letter from her husband.

To answer your question, I first need to confirm if your program is eligible for a Spousal Open Work Permit. Is it a Master's, PhD, or a professional degree in fields like Medicine, Law, Engineering, or Nursing?

I urgently need help for master in Social works or Early childhood. Applied for a friend in University of regina and the decision wasnt favorable.

And she would like to start in Summer spring 2026. If that isnt possible then she can settle for September

Nothing stops you from applying, just ensure you have adequate POF with proven sources and letter of intent that speaks to the reason for travelling.

1. You wasted your 2 - years of waiting via your own , or your agent' s fault because, the USA embassy actually sent reschedule notification OR, you should have logged in intermittently and would have been able to catch up with the rescheduled appointment.

2. If you have arrived on AVITS via the initiative email from the USA embassy, and you are seeing expired appointment, then, it seems you are on your way to buying another VISA fee.

PS: You may try call the embassy help-staffs or raise a ticket ,and let's see may be luck might intervene. Also, if you can screenshot your AVITS message on NL, it would be open to general opinion.

Please I got an unconditional offer letter of admission from UNF and when I requested for an LOA I was given a conditional LOA because I am supposed to do a 3 months online graduate pathway program starting october to December prior to my masters program starting in January 2025

I think it is. I have seen a lot of Nigerian YouTubers' videos who said they did it and got an approval under 20 days. You can just do GIC for your regular study visa application.

Thanks. So we go ahead with this. Biometric is in Lagos tomorrow and medical today. We also did the police certificate online but haven’t told to come for thumb printing. One of the requirement is paying one year school fees but we only did 10k for Connestoga . But the money in bank in usd is almost 33k cad. We will just do that into GIC account and send a webform
