Court hears air observer filmed his "swinging friends" having sex outside and also used the camera to zoom in on a nude mum's Instruments as she sunbathed with her daughters. Adrian Pogmore admitted to arranging for his pals to have sex while the chopper hovered above. A cop used a hi-tech camera on board a police helicopter to record video of his "swinging friends" having sex, a court heard. "Sex obsessed" air observer Adrian Pogmore, 51, filmed his pals having an eight minute romp on their patio. He also used the powerful camera lens to zoom in on a nude mum's Instruments as she and her three daughters sunbathed in their garden while his crew mates allegedly watched. Pogmore had already pleaded guilty to the charges after he admitted to arranging for his friends to have sex while the chopper was hovering over so he could film them, Sheffield Crown Court heard today. Serving South Yorkshire Police officers Matthew Lucas, 42, and Lee Walls, 47, retired pilot Malcolm Reeves, 64, and former pilot Matthew Loosemore, 45, are currently on trial. The charges relate to four alleged incidents between 2007 and 2012. Prosecutor Richard Wright, QC, told the jury: "On three separate occasions they filmed a couple having sexual intercourse in their own garden. "They recorded what they saw using the recording facilities that the helicopter was equipped with." The court heard there was "no legitimate reason" for the cops to filming them and "no basis" for flying over people's homes, selecting them as targets and filming them. The expensive police helicopter, usually used for capturing fleeing criminals and helping to patrol large groups after football matches, was even flown over a naturist campsite called 'Candy Farm'. Pogmore decided to zoom in on a naked couple sat outside their caravan. A jury were shown footage of a woman being spied on by the same chopper who was sunbathing fully-naked in her private garden with her three daughters all wearing bikinis. All four were sat in a line on reclined sun loungers. Mr Wright said: "The camera has a powerful zoom function and the operator used that to zoom in on the naked body of the woman and in particular her Instruments." Graphic content was also played to the jury when the same crew spotted a couple having sexual intercourse in their garden in South Yorkshire. A brunette, who is fully naked, starts touching a man in a '98 Manchester United home football shirt as she then performs a sex act on the man as a poodle dog sits just a metre away. The court were told the presence of the chopper spurred the couple on and they "brazenly put on a show" - by performing sexual intercourse in a variety of positions. As the chopper circles overhead a voice on the radio blurts out: "Looks like we need a four by six inch rolling block" - relating to a stolen motorcycle. The footage used as evidence in the trial was later found in Pogmore's desk at a police station. Mr Wright said the recordings were "not simply the product of one swinging and sexual obsessed air observer Adrian Pogmore but were made with the connivance of the other members of the crew". He said Pogmore, who did not appear in court, had pre-planned the meeting with his "swinging friends" to be hovering over their home at the same moment the couple appeared. Pogmore pleaded guilty to the charges and does not stand trial alongside his former colleagues. Walls, of Sheffield, denies one count, Loosemore, of Doncaster, South Yorks., denies one count, Reeves denies one count and Lucas, of Sheffield, denies three counts of misconduct relating to watching and filming naked people without their consent and observing and recording people performing sexual acts. The trial, which is expected to last three weeks, continues. www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/sex-obsessed-cop-used-police-10821592

Mediator97:Doing good should be enough reward. Every one expects to be rewarded for doing the right thing - just like our political leaders who expect to be praised for doing what they were elected to and are Heavily paid to do. The scripture even concurs with doing good in secret. Besides she has earned a good name for herself . |
Unadulterated honesty like this should be celebrated.

" Cheapass !" Doctor rewards bus conductor who returned his lost $29,000 with two bags of candy … Sumon Matidul, a conductor of Bus No. 511, was rewarded with two bags of candy for returning a backpack filled with THB1.12 million cash (more than US29,000) to a doctor in Bangkok, Thailand last Sunday. The story that was supposed to restore faith in humanity quickly turned into internet drama, when users found out that the passenger, who works as a gynecologist, rewarded the bus conductor with only two bags of candy. Sumon Matidul, conductor of Bus No. 511 which runs on the Bangkok outskirts, said the doctor called her to apologize after the story earned media spotlight and people quickly called him a “cheapass.” The doctor’s name was not disclosed. According to Sumon, the doctor told her that the money was to pay his debts, and she personally didn’t ask for any reward and actually appreciated the candy, which she gave to her child. “I thanked him. I said ‘I have debts too, and I completely understand.’ I mean, put yourself in his shoes. I’d cry if I lost THB500,” Sumon told Amarin TV. “Even though he’s a doctor, the money was to pay his family’s debt. He said it wasn’t even enough,” she said. But Sumon’s honesty hasn’t gone unnoticed, she received a certificate from Bangkok Mass Transit Authority for her honest actions. Following the story, Thai celebrity lawyer Songkran Atchariyasap said those who return lost belongings to their owners can demand a cash compensation of 10 percent of the value of the returned goods. Or we can just do good without expecting any reward, just like Sumon. People criticized him with most calling him a “cheapass” while others are of the opinion that one shouldn’t expect monetary reward for doing a good deed. “A nice and very understanding lady, who did the right thing, because it was the right thing, and even said Thank you for the token reward. I appreciate the guy owed the money, but he would owe a hell of a lot more if it weren’t for her honesty. The family really should appreciate that and chip in to give her something a little more appropriate.” one said.

In spite of the poor road directions across country, the federal government has revealed that Nigeria's roads are far better than what some other countries in the world can boast of as road infrastructure. The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, made this disclosure at the just concluded 23rd National Council of Works meeting in Abuja, pointing out that the country can no longer depend solely on road maps which do not cover notable places in the country. Fashola who said he had visited some countries in the world and observed that the quality of materials laid on Nigeria' roads are far better that what they have over there, added that "While our ongoing road projects across the nation are still in various stages of completion, our economic needs have compelled us to refuse to wait until everything is done before we begin to confer the benefits of lane marking and street signage on our people. "Regardless of the economic situation of the country, the Ministry has refused to wait for funds before commencing on marking of roads, installation of street signs for Nigerians who want to see good road. We have met in the Ministry and agreed to compile the list of roads where significant sections have been completed, and prepare them for procurement and award of sub- contracts in collaboration with our main contracts, and this procurement will then be advertised as required by law and subject to an open and competitive bid", Fashola noted. Speaking on the importance of road signage, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Muhammad Bello, said road signs are particularly important in the FCT due to the increasing number of vehicles plying its roads on a daily basis. Bello who stated that the Works' meeting was key to the Capital Territory, added that the outcome of the deliberations would provide the much needed input for policy making to address the problem of inadequate and poor road signage on some of the Capital's highways. Represented by the Executive Secretary of FCDA, Eugene Jubrin, an engineer, the minister said "I urge you all to bear in mind that your decisions will have far reaching impact on this administration's efforts at ensuring improved safety and comfort on our highways, which is demonstrated by the huge budgeting provision to the Works sector by the administration in the last two years." Director, Highway Planning and Development, Chukwinike Uzo, an engineer, said the theme of this year's meeting addressed the need to ensure safety on the country's roads. According to him, "The meeting of the National Council on Works provides a forum in which stakeholders in the Works sector will deliberate concerning the road sector with a view to coming up with the decisions on how to solve problems associated with the construction and maintenance of highways/roads in Nigeria", Uzo said. Mr. Kayode Olagunju, Assistant Corps Marshal, Policy, Research and Statistics, said that it is at the Ministry's Council meeting that decisions on roads are taken in partnership with the FRSC, pointing out that the FRSC produces standard road details in line with the 1968 convention which are meant to give direction to road users across the country "Those signs are meant to inform, they are meant to direct, they are also useful in guiding officers who work. If there are dangers ahead the road signs will tell you for example, a sign to let you know that there a narrow bridge or bend ahead, so that before you get there, you are already aware of it, and you will know how to slow down to avoid danger", Olagunju said. http://allafrica.com/stories/201707250456.html

cjrane:Dude. Did you just read what you posted? If the bombing continues your land would be polluted even further. Your water, the air you breathe will be contaminated. I do not care whether you or anyone likes it but we have to diversify for so many reasons but it doesn't mean we should abandon oil. It just should not be our only or major source of revenue. In years to come the Niger Delta region would become infertile if those militants do not stop and the government do not desist from extorting and cheating the region. |
I honestly don't believe either of you should be contesting. |
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said he will suspend his Presidential ambition in 2019 if President Muhammadu Buhari will be running. He said this in Owerri, the Imo State capital, when he addressed youth delegates from all the geo- political zones of the country, who paid him a courtesy visit. Okorocha stressed that President Buhari meant well for the nation and should be given all the support he deserved. He added that he will not also run at any given time unless 10 million Nigerians would endorse him. The governor said: “I will not run in 2019 if President Muhammadu Buhari will be running. Even at that, I will not also run at any given time unless 10 million Nigerians endorse me. “May I remind all of you that my joy this evening has no bounds for the singular fact that the Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Ijaw, northern minorities, western and eastern minorities, Muslims and Christians and others can sit down in a roundtable and speak like members of one family. If only for this, my mission for this nation is today achieved. “I am an Igbo man with Igbo parentage. I was born and raised in the north. The north gave me education, guaranteed my childhood, even when I was not worthy to be called anybody in this world. “I did all my schooling— primary, secondary and tertiary— in the northern part of this country. I finished and needed to be successful and wealthy. My encounter with someone from the South-West gave me the financial empowerment. “So you can see that in my person, I have no choice whatsoever but to be a detribalized Nigerian, having been born of Igbo parentage, raised up by the North and empowered by the West. Nigeria remains my constituency. “Most of you may not know that I am not in politics for self-aggrandizement or as a means to seek livelihood. I am in this job for the glory of the job, not for the profit and for the honour of this job, not for the wealth in it. “I believe that one day it will become a manifest truth that somebody somewhere really cared for this nation. “In my quiet time have I gone through lamentations, thinking about our nation and particularly. So is the youth of Nigeria, believe me, if our youths are not alright, our nation can never be alright.” http://dailypost.ng/2017/07/25/2019-will-suspend-presidential-ambition-buhari-will-running-okorocha/

sekxy:How have the ND helped themselves? Yes. The government(S) have failed them but they have also shot themselves in the foot by continuously defending looters from their region and failing to hold them accountable. |
Most of the funds used in the North east are not even from the government purse but from Donors around the world and NGOs. |
One heartbroken fellow spotted above me. Two actually. |

The Acting-President, Yemi Osinbajo, has revealed plans to kick-off the implementation of a comprehensive rebuilding plan for North-East areas that were ravaged in recent years of Boko Haram insurgency. He made this known Monday night when he presided over a meeting that was attended by the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari; the National Security Adviser (NSA), Banagana Monguno; the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali; the Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, and the service chiefs. “The plan is very clear, we all know what direction we should be headed,” he said while referring to the reconstruction of the North-East region. According to a statement signed by Laolu Akande, his spokesman, the Acting President said while the whole region was intended to be covered eventually, the plan opens with Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. He said: “Under what has been termed as the Bama Initiative, the Federal Government will contribute 67% of the funding, while Borno State would provide the balance of 33. “Under the Bama Initiative, covering towns such Bama, Banki, Gulumba Gara and others, the Federal Government in partnership with the Borno State government is expected to carry out actual re-construction of houses for the return of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as well as provide infrastructure such as roads for Bama town and adjoining communities. “The Initiative will also see to the kitting and deployment of thousands of police officers and officers of the National Security and Civil Defence Corps who are expected to be trained for the special task. Equally, 20 doctors, 100 nurses and other relevant health officers are to be recruited to provide essential health services for the town, in addition to the employment of teachers who will be deployed to 18 new schools to be constructed in the areas. “Road re-construction projects are also featured under the Bama Initiative which is now under exploration, including the rehabilitation of Maiduguri-Bama-Daral Jamal-Banki road network. The welfare of returnees is also a major priority of the plan, ensuring a comprehensive support programme for IDPs as they return,” the statement added. The implementation of the plan which includes several towns is an initiative that would lead to the construction of 3000 new homes, 10 police stations, 18 primary and secondary schools, health centres, as well as creation of Special Bama Squad for security and the recruitment of 1500 local hunters as ‘Agro Rangers’ among others, is expected to kick-off in weeks. http://dailypost.ng/2017/07/25/osinbajo-told-kyari-shettima-nsa-service-chiefs-behind-closed-doors/

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday declared that the days in which no single revenue would be generated from crude oil were fast approaching. Osinbajo, who spoke at the Extra-ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers of the African Petroleum Producers Organisation in Abuja, noted that technology was fast depleting the usefulness of crude oil . He said, “ This session holds at a very significant time for our continent and countries. A time when we as a continent and indeed the rest of the world are witnessing volatility in the petroleum market, and by implication, our local economies. “ Over the last three years or so, oil producing countries across the world have experienced the full impact of the drop in oil prices with significant negative impact on government revenues and budgets and on the value of national currencies . “ Almost every major oil importing country today has embarked on an aggressive non- fossil fuel alternative programme . China, Japan and some Scandinavian states have already set dates within the next 10 to 15 years to produce and use only electric vehicles . The zero oil days are clearly around the corner .” Osinbajo noted that although the prosperity of Africa lies in its human resources and talents , and not in anything extracted from the earth, it was still important to upgrade to the trending technologies across the globe. “ As the world begins to move in the direction of alternative and clean energy , the reform of the APPO should factor in these new realities and aim to reposition the organisation as a clear leader in this regard ,” he added. The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources , Ibe Kachikwu , had earlier in his address buttressed the acting President’ s points , as he noted that crude oil was at the verge of fading away as a result of improvements in technology. Kachikwu said , “ Technology is moving at a fast pace. The oil world is fast disappearing . With current trends in technology and environmental concerns, it is clear that over the next 20 to 30 years, oil will become a fading if not a faded product. “ Which means that most countries that harbour oil have only about 30 years’ span to harness, explore, find and enjoy the full benefits of oil. Because after that, most consumers of oil would have moved on to a cleaner source of energy .” He told ministers and delegates from other countries that it had become absolutely imperative for member countries of the APPO to start looking at the African crude oil market and to fashion out ways of protecting and expanding it . http://punchng.com/zero-oil-revenue-days-fast-approaching-says-osinbajo/
