All these Nigerians sef. When we took the game to Brazil and had them managing to draw the game the coach was technical abi? You don't know many of these players are playing together for the first time and in such a long while and many are even debutants. Look at some positives: a solid GK and a few good showing from some debutants. When the first team players return, it is obvious the team will get better. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

Blue3k: There are a lot of things Nigeria should never be importing. Whether or not it has been successful on the short term should not negate the fact that it was an excellent policy. We all complain about the price of rice, should government give scarce forex to importers of rice, and other products to which we have comparative advantage and capacity to produce if investment is done. The kind of things Nigerian pseudo-economists argue for would get laughed at in any sane clime. |

I don't even know what to say to the silly comments above me, honestly, a lot of mentally unbalanced people on Nairaland. Burna, take all the time you want, you are not an elected or appointed government official; it's your prerogative to protest or otherwise. 181 Likes 15 Shares |
Crime / Re: Why Calls For Sars To Be Disbanded Are Unnecessary by Ehiscotch(m): 2:38pm On Oct 11, 2020 |
People don't know that there are some criminal elements that only SARS can tackle, to be honest these guys just need to be reformed. Police can't deal with cultists or some armed robbers na only SARS dey get mind. They should primarily be a response unit and not one that oppress citizens. |
Crime / Re: Why Calls For Sars To Be Disbanded Are Unnecessary by Ehiscotch(m): 1:12pm On Oct 11, 2020 |
When you say end, are you ending the unit SARS or ending police brutality? See, when you end SARS these officers get re-assigned and the brutality continues but the call to #EndSars really goes beyond SARS as a unit but all forms of oppression from the government agencies and it is putting them on their toes. The call should be for reform of all military and para-military units who endlessly oppress citizens; reforms that should begin with their recruitment process. 1 Like |

Elvictor: LMAO. That is a cheap excuse for failure. We think it is a change in political structure that has failed us;is that the new deception? Bro, wake up. We need to have our minds and mentality properly educated and restructured not our political landscape. Restructuring can only work when we have decided individually or at least in majority to change our perspectives and priorities. Na different people go lead when we separate? |

Buhari and INEC are improving the elections and its credibility; you can see how intense and how keenly contested this is and people are no longer expressing apathy to the election. There is more belief that their vote will count. 4 Likes |

People easily forget that Nigeria has defeated Argentina and drawn with a star-studded Brazilian team under this coach only recently. People like to complain, na friendly be this; na just to test fringe and upcoming players; the main squad aren't even available. Yesterday, we discovered a future star in Maduka Okoye; Ebuehi and Sanusi are good and would be better competition for Awaziem and Jamilu Collins. Semi Ajayi is a very composed and decent defender even if he was played out of position. There were a few positives from the friendly game. We are still building a squad. 1 Like 1 Share |

Overself: You are funny sha. Let me assume you are right about me being a zombie and all your accusations but at the end of the day we know you would wail and wail when nothing comes of the whole AlphaBeta "scandal". Buhari is going to be in office till 2023, but won't you find anything more productive than coming up with all the imaginary fairytales you spew every now and then? With all due respect, you ought to stop this tribalistic nonsense and face reality. Good night, sir. |

History555:When the demand exceeds supply the prices would go down. The prices are only high because there is not enough food produced. Remember they are mostly perishable and seasonal so people sell at a lower cost to prevent loss or losing entirely to spoilage. I agree that there is hunger; I am not exempted, but we have to believe it is for the best. The darkest hour is just before dawn. |

StaffofOrayan: True. I do not disagree that there has long been herder-farmer clashes all over the country right from time; and I also agree that the government should do more to address the issue but are we going to overlook the strides the government has taken in agriculture? Don't you know the basic concept of economics? We do not have enough forex to give to importers of basic consumption in which we have the capacity to produce, who does that? How do you open borders for every kind of good to penetrate the market and shortchange your farmers? How do people get motivated to go back to agriculture when the cannot meet up to the market prices? You guys don't actually have any single economic knowledge but you would be filling Nairaland with nonsense, crude and backward knowledge. How can we get to the status of a developing nation when we import all we consume? It defies even the most basic and crude concept of economic development. |
