All these Nigerians sef. When we took the game to Brazil and had them managing to draw the game the coach was technical abi?

You don't know many of these players are playing together for the first time and in such a long while and many are even debutants.

Look at some positives: a solid GK and a few good showing from some debutants.

When the first team players return, it is obvious the team will get better.

How primitive, others could have took on the challenge but they didn't in mass. Nigeria should just take beef off the import ban list if they want cheaper prices.

Ps: Does anyone know if Nigerias milk import ban spurred production of milk worked been successful?

There are a lot of things Nigeria should never be importing. Whether or not it has been successful on the short term should not negate the fact that it was an excellent policy.

We all complain about the price of rice, should government give scarce forex to importers of rice, and other products to which we have comparative advantage and capacity to produce if investment is done.

The kind of things Nigerian pseudo-economists argue for would get laughed at in any sane clime.

Burna, take all the time you want, you are not an elected or appointed government official; it's your prerogative to protest or otherwise.

Crime / Re: Why Calls For Sars To Be Disbanded Are Unnecessary by Ehiscotch(m): 2:38pm On Oct 11, 2020
People don't know that there are some criminal elements that only SARS can tackle, to be honest these guys just need to be reformed. Police can't deal with cultists or some armed robbers na only SARS dey get mind. They should primarily be a response unit and not one that oppress citizens.
Crime / Re: Why Calls For Sars To Be Disbanded Are Unnecessary by Ehiscotch(m): 1:12pm On Oct 11, 2020
When you say end, are you ending the unit SARS or ending police brutality? See, when you end SARS these officers get re-assigned and the brutality continues but the call to #EndSars really goes beyond SARS as a unit but all forms of oppression from the government agencies and it is putting them on their toes.

The call should be for reform of all military and para-military units who endlessly oppress citizens; reforms that should begin with their recruitment process.

you don't get me at all.

access to which local and state government?
how many times have you come in contact with your local government chairman?
they hardly reside in their LGA residence after they win election, they will disappear to Lagos or Abuja and await allocation, the little allocation will be used to pay salary and the big size will be taken by the chairman no meaningful project.
we need a system in which this chairmen should be mandated by the people not install and uninstall by the governors like application, we need a system in which the chairman work to generate funds, and channel it into something meaningful.

i don't want to even talk about the governors that are in charge of many LGA without knowing there locations in their state map.

I Repeat.

Nigeria is a fraudulent entity perpetuated by Lord Lugard on Africa intellectuals to render them hopeless and visionless with colonial constitution even after gaining independence, an ATM machine to any corrupt individual around the world to cash out especially ATM card carriers who are called Politicians.

I repeat. No be the same Nigerians go be politicians for the same structure wey you dey advocate abi na Lebanese wan con rule us. Nigerians any given day , any entity any time can manipulate and destroy any organised structure you can think of.

Take this our system abroad and watch it work fine.

is easier to silence people you can get access to easier, do you know that?
the closer the government to the people the more things get better, hope you know that

The access we have to our local and state governments for the past 20 years has yielded what?

I understand that we have been shortchanged with this system but we have to hope for the best.

I get you bro, we are all frustrated.

LMAO. That is a cheap excuse for failure. We think it is a change in political structure that has failed us;is that the new deception?

Bro, wake up. We need to have our minds and mentality properly educated and restructured not our political landscape. Restructuring can only work when we have decided individually or at least in majority to change our perspectives and priorities. Na different people go lead when we separate?

I am glad that you aren't ignorant at all. I wonder how Nigerians want to fund capital expenditure with low oil prices? They think we earned the same amount during PDP era; so they ignorantly use the same yardstick.

It seems Nigerians are gradually voting personalities and not parties anymore. Edo and ondo clearly showed that trend. It's the best way to go. Apc and pdp are not different. Let's continue to look out for individuals.

Buhari and INEC are improving the elections and its credibility; you can see how intense and how keenly contested this is and people are no longer expressing apathy to the election. There is more belief that their vote will count.

The fem cover video shows that they're improving and are now under the supervision of a good management.

At the moment, they're Nigeria's best export to the international world after Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Femi Adesina. Someday, it could be my turn, Runtown turn or Falz turn. The three of us are freedom fighters and amazing people. They're protesting against Sars brutality while I'm busy agitating for the open participation of farming by our youths. We're the same just that we're using different stones to kill the same bird.

So far Nigeria unity is not tampered with, we're good to go.

People easily forget that Nigeria has defeated Argentina and drawn with a star-studded Brazilian team under this coach only recently.

People like to complain, na friendly be this; na just to test fringe and upcoming players; the main squad aren't even available. Yesterday, we discovered a future star in Maduka Okoye; Ebuehi and Sanusi are good and would be better competition for Awaziem and Jamilu Collins. Semi Ajayi is a very composed and decent defender even if he was played out of position. There were a few positives from the friendly game. We are still building a squad.

Have u ever visit the market and did not see food. People are hungry because of the cost of food not scarcity of food

When the demand exceeds supply the prices would go down. The prices are only high because there is not enough food produced. Remember they are mostly perishable and seasonal so people sell at a lower cost to prevent loss or losing entirely to spoilage.

I agree that there is hunger; I am not exempted, but we have to believe it is for the best.

The darkest hour is just before dawn.

In a sane clime APC should never contest elections let alone win election for bastardizing democratic norms, process or institutions.

In saner climes, people don't focus on party lines but the individuals in the contest.

By the way, in what sane clime does a duly registered party be denied its constitutional rights from contesting or fielding a candidate?

Such a heavy contradiction.

Ebonyi farmers like their counterparts up north are having their crops destroyed by herdsmen, what self sufficiency are you dreaming about?
The famine coming would make you protest opening borders soon, Abi no be Buhari?
Even Northerners pushed him out in 84

True. I do not disagree that there has long been herder-farmer clashes all over the country right from time; and I also agree that the government should do more to address the issue but are we going to overlook the strides the government has taken in agriculture?

Don't you know the basic concept of economics? We do not have enough forex to give to importers of basic consumption in which we have the capacity to produce, who does that?

How do you open borders for every kind of good to penetrate the market and shortchange your farmers?

How do people get motivated to go back to agriculture when the cannot meet up to the market prices?

You guys don't actually have any single economic knowledge but you would be filling Nairaland with nonsense, crude and backward knowledge.

How can we get to the status of a developing nation when we import all we consume?

It defies even the most basic and crude concept of economic development.
