Yes, it's elusive, that is, prima facie it's difficult to achieve but not impossible and by the grace of GOD they will achieve it. But come to think of it brother, admission is elusive in Nigeria, considering the tortuous steps to be taken, such as o'level, jamb and post utme, then the proverbial merit list, supplementary list and list by connection. And last but not the least, the dreaded screening. Wow, that was pretty defensive but it's needless of me to be beating about the bush. Am sorry for using such a controversial word. When I see positive changes, I never hesitate to commend the brain behind it. Unilorin is on the verge of proving my theories wrong but am seriously monitoring the situations. PERHAPS with Prof Ambali it's a new dawn in unilorin regarding disinterested admission procedures Critics don't judge me yet, it's too early. |

Ok, let's be realistic brother, no system is perfect but arbitrariness is more pronounced in one system compared to other. Besides, this issue of transparency goes beyond one's unflinching loyalty to a specific institution. Is that what you mean by post utme score upgrade? Of course, unilag is not an exception in this labyrinth of admission anomalies. But irregularities step in after the verification of those that beat the cut-off marks. If unilorin can do this too, i wouldn't be here crying foul play. |

First of all, the word rigmarole has nothing to do with admission connection. Now, post utme score upgrade is for those that didn't make the cut-off. But you don't need that if you naturally beat the cut-off. Besides, unilag method of calculating aggregate score is known to everybody and with this you will always know if you will be admitted or not when cut-off marks for various courses are out. But our beloved unilorin doesn't have such system in place, because if they do we would have known our fate by now. |

It seems you haven't made any verification; they are not foreigners, they're our own people- Igbos and Yorubas.I never said Unilag is free of "MAN KNOWS MAN SYNDROME" but it only takes place after merit list has been thoroughly sanctioned. But who can blame them for that? When merit is their watch word. And the so-called picture you are citing as circumstantial evidence is a living example of transparency, for if they didn't post admission lists you wouldn't know what is going on within their chamber of admission. Can Unilorin do the same thing? Maybe some years to come, but for now they simply do not have the conscience and the gumption to do that. Or have you ever seen any Unilag's candidates that beat the cut-off mark and was denied admission on the basis of unwritten law of connection? But such cases are abound in Unilorin. Bottom line, in your own disinterested opinion, between Unilag and Unilorin which of them is more transparent in terms of admission?
