SirShymexx:
STFU. What internal rambling are you alluding to?

A despotic king got dethroned by a next despotic king and folks from the former's maternal side colluded with the colonial masters to exile the latter to a next part of Yorubaland. So, how does that equate to "internal wranglings"?

A lot of you Igbos are miserable illiterates and you want everyone to be part of ya misery. Sorry, this isn't the thread for that. Heck, even if there's internal ramblings, how does that negate anything since human beings are naturally competitive and folks will always disagree. Even siamese and biological twins disagree. GTFOH and go solve ya Igbo problems.
The long epistle doesn't stop the yoruba from having internal wranglings

Seun, please you're not being patriotic at all.

You need to devise a means whereby news like this can be hidden from our foreign friends who visit this platform.

I'd hate for them to go away with the idea that all Nigerians think like this.

Please do something about it thank you.

NB: pls let such news always be pushed to front page. We need to laugh more often in this recession times. Ose, omo daadaa.

SirShymexx:
Lol. Why didn't you quote me? Scared much? grin

Don't turn this into Egbas vs. Ijebus cos Ijebus also sold tons of slaves. However, that doesn't negate my point about the Egbas cos they were instrumental in his defeat. And I believe Akitoye's mum was Egba and that might've also played a role cos he escaped to Abeokuta when Kosoko dethroned him. grin

Egbas loved white men back then and in return, the white man gave them Bible, munitions, and military training. Ever wondered why Ijebus who were the first naij folks to have contacts with white men, were the last to accept Christianity? And when Christianity came to Ijebuland, it came via the Egbas through Remo? grin

PoliticsRe: Why Tussle Over' Anambra Oil Wells' Persists by Ejanla07: 1:57pm On Nov 04, 2016
0lumide:
Investment doesn't infer ownership.

No matter the amount the Anambra people invested in the oil, it is still not Anambra's oil. What led to the problem was media propaganda propagated by those who want the oil well to be declared as belonging to Anambra. No matter how much is spent on the oil well, the invesment is a waste when you weren't willing to work with the owners. This case can be solved easily. Kogi state is the oil producing state and not Anambra. The orient oil should be cautious in the matter and let the communities settle it first at least until the oil owners are satisfied.
Of course the afonja who can't locate anambra in the map have something to say
Car TalkRe: The Army Jeep Innoson Motors Produced by Ejanla07: 1:20pm On Nov 04, 2016
sunboy:
Well I must correct your ignorance so you don't take it further from here.

Proforce is 100% Nigerian owned, and are produced here in Nigeria. Proforce combine technical know-how of a Colombian firm and expatriate, that way a transfer of knowledge is certain. It's products are being used by Nigerian police, Nigerian army, Ghanaian police and UN already. For UN to use its product, means it means international standard. Proforce is strictly defense and have already won the hearts of neighboring countries.

Innoson is 100% Nigerian owned, but produce in China and couple/assemble in Nigeria. Then tag it made in Nigeria. Innoson produce the likes of break pad, the chair upholstery and plastic components here but major parts are produced and imported from China. Innoson is strictly for civilian and have not made enough marketing to win any significant market in Nigeria.

In all, I support locally made products and I dove my hat for Innoson. We just have to start from somewhere. But it is insulting to compare Proforce products to that of Innoson.

If you need a completely produce in a country car, check out the Ghanaian made car by one Apostle like that, they designed their own engines and manufacture major parts of their ride.

In other news, I'm still buying your fiverr and other freelance funds.

CareerRe: My Lebanese Boss Promises To Sack Me When Next I Bend Or Try To Collect His Bag by Ejanla07: 1:45pm On Nov 03, 2016
moscobabs:
Just resumed my new office last week o.

My first time of working with White man sa (Lebanese) , The man is free and humble in fact everybody loves him, among other Lebanese my Boss is jovial, free and hardworking man.

He has worked in 5 African countries so he understands Africa and her culture very well.

The real story....

I resumed very early this morning and I decided to wait in front of office before I start today's activities when I saw my boss coming down from his Truck carrying his bag , as a young Yoruba man that comes from good background ..lol So I ran to him and say Good morning sir (bend my head) and I stretch my hand to collect his bag.

The man who has never disrespect me like that before shouted on me!!

Who owns the bag? he asked

repeat!!!! who owns the bag moscobabs?

Me: You sir!!!! I replied..

if it's me "why should u collect it from me?

Me: I just wanted to help u sir.

Y? ..... I couldn't respond .

I say why? ...meet me in office now!!!! he commanded .

We entered his office and he sat me down

moscobabs, You were employed as so so so in this company not to carry bag, the bag belongs to me and I must carry it, also you always bend whenever you greet me...please its not necessary, in fact its not official, I just opportune to be your boss, you are married as I , You are graduate although you are younger than me but you have to attach respect to yourself.

I was like " ki la gbe, ki la ju" but I replied him by saying ....

Sir, I am african we have cultures and Traditions and parts of these is what I did, We respect our elders and seniors that's why we bend or prostrate while greeting and we do help them carry their loads even if we carry ours too.

And he responded with smiles...No problem But when next you greet me in such an embarrassing way or try to collect my bag I won't think twice before I sack you!!!

I beg o Is anything wrong in what I did?

Is there any other reason for his reaction?

The man just dey look me somehow since morning
The Lebanese worked in 5 African countries. Obviously the dude understand the hypocrisy and eye service behind the afonja yoruba who bend to greet. . The Lebanese understand how green and hypocritical an average afonja. Is. .

ImoRiver:
Stupid Nigerian mentality. Government should ban importation of anything Erisco into the country. He's looking for foreign exchange to operate a local industry and we all know Nigeria is experiencing foreign exchange scarcity as a result of low oil output and prices. Business environment in Nigeria is harsh and requires total patriotism to resist temptation of going to already developed countries like China.

PoliticsRe: The Made In Aba Boots Our Nigerian Army Will Be Rocking Soon by Ejanla07: 8:59am On Nov 02, 2016
gbosaa:
I disagree. That's a very light boot. Look at the design properly. Upper part is tough synthetic and flexible. It aids good ventilation and is comfortable around the ankle and lower part of leg.

Outer sole is where the bulk of the weigh lies. I believe the contractors would use full grain leather for the counter heel and toe vamp. It would be a crime to use faux leather for such. That's my fear and concern.

If the contractors cheat and cut corner by using fake leather, they will be getting lots of complaints from the Army. Normally this sort of shoes should be rigorously tested to make sure they can withstand tough terrains.

Fake materials and bad craftsmanship would be exposed. The faux leather will break and peel off while the sole separates from the upper part if the threading/sewing is bad.

This is an opportunity my Aba brothers must not waste.
Aba don pass dat level abeg. .
