Have asked same questions about who discovered what or where. I have always maintained that it be stated in a way that would reflect the true picture such as: Columbus was the first know European to set foot on America. That ll show that they were other humans living in America by the time he reached there. I'm always of the opinion that one don't discover a place that other humans are already inhabiting.
I think it'll always be good if it's put as: the first known....to discover/reach/find....place/tribe/people. Thus i can say i am the first known person to discover Bakasi Island. This would mean that there's nobody living in the Island and none have known the existence of the Island before i discovered it.
However if it's say a sea route, one may be tempted to agree since the inhabitants of a particular point on the route may not have travelled the whole stretch in order to know that sailing from thier position would take them to another point (group of other inhabitants). So the first person that made that journey can claim to have discovered the route.
I think it's patronizing to say one "discover" fellow humans. Why not the first....to locate them.

He duped his kinsman Coscharis of over 30 billion naira, stole petroleum subsidy funds and used his close relative for money rituals. Go to Nnewi, his own people will tell you more about the fraudster.

Last week, one Judy Iyke from Aguleri (Gov Obiano home town) chronicled an article about whom he first dropped in a WhatAapp group for Ndi Aguleri and later circulated same to other social media platforms.

In that very article, the blackmailer whom I later learnt that his paymasters were cabals of Aguleri around Gov Obiano stated that Dr Ifeanyi Ubah killed his cousin Kate Ubah for rituals ten years ago. While there is no such name like Kate Ubah or any such story in Nnewi, I stand to call Gov Obiano to caution his brothers and sisters that were executing such a hatchet job.

Just yesterday again, the particular young man in his usual style wrote again that Peter Obi equally killed his father for rituals.

Initially, I never wanted to give this character any attention as that would dignify him, but having gotten information that he is backed by Gov Obiano led administration to go into blackmailing people, I decided to take on him.

My source also stated that Obiano led Govt has also penciled down the following names for blackmail.

2. Peter Obi
3. Andy Ubah
4. Soludo
5. Osita Chidoka
6. Uche Ekwunife
7. Tony Nwoye
8. Stella Odua
9. Dubem Obazie
10. Ezemo
11. Emeka Offor

13. Chike Obidigbo. 14. Etc.

I did not take my source very seriously until the same Aguleri guy chronicled another article yesterday misleading the public that Peter Obi killed his father for rituals the same way he earlier chronicled a similar article targeting at Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah.

I confronted the guy on WhatsApp group with this respect, but also wondered why a governor that should be focused on maintaining a golden state handed over to him should be funding his kinsmen in engaging into blackmail targeted at respected Anambrarians.

I was even surprised to see this people going even further blackmailing the same Peter Obi that did not only fight but made so many enemies just to make an Aguleri person governor.

The writer of the blackmailing article may like to be reminded the role played by Gov Obiano during the bloody Aguleri Umueri war.

I hereby drop this question to this guy sent for executing this hatchet job:

Was Willie Obiano a peace maker during that war or a Financier?

Was he not a war financier?

Why did they give him the title Akpokuedike Aguleri thereafter the war?

Before picking another person for blackmail, please ask the Gov Obiano the foregoing questions.

The blood of Anambrarians wasted in that avoidable communal war needed answers in relation to the above stated questions.

I hereby call to remind you that what Anambra people want is development not blackmail.

However, when you chose to engage into blackmailing Ndi Anambra instead of working for Ndi Anambra, you only make Correction 2017 easier.

There are more revealing harvest, on a daily basis, of Governor Rochas Okorocha's foreign missions and business trips to attract investors to Imo state with a bid to industrialize, provide jobs and make life more meaningful for the next generations in the state, than you might know.

No doubt ,this good intentions, many believe should run faster than it is now, but let's not forget that, development is a process not an event. And so is the issue of industrializing Imo as envisaged by the governor.This is a case of one step, at a time.

Again, the state government received another batch of Turkish investors recently, who specialize in the fabrication of car engine parts like spark plugs, connecting rods, rings, valves, crankshafts, pistons etc.They are here to establish, for the first time, a moderneenized automobile engine parts manufacturing plant in the state, an initiative that drives the governor passionately.

Recall, Governor Okorocha has successfully relocated all artisans, mechanics and skilled workers to a more spacious, convenient & permanent site at AVU, a suburb of Owerri City-Mechanic Cluster-AVU.

Against all odds, the artisans have unanimously tapped into the governor's vision and have relocated in batches to the new site.

Speaking at Neke Mechanic village, Aba road, venue for the reception of the investors where over two thousand Mechanics gathered, the Deputy Chief Of staff, Operations, Hon. Engr. Uju Kingsley Chima, who represented the state governor said...

"...not only would the artisans have access to banking, maximum security and other social amenities...but would as well benefit collectively, from the Cooperative which will enable individual members to access loans and grants from the state government...the joy of being together in one place will bring more profits to your business than indiscriminate localization at different places... ".He posited.

He further maintained that,once the production line for the mass production of motor-engine parts is established at the cluster, Imo state will be the hub for automobile parts manufacturing & sales including export..."

"....in a short while, Imo, will not only be the centre for manufacturing of engine parts like piston, rings etc, but will begin export of these parts to the rest of the world...the people you see here are manufacturers of these products, why they are here, is to establish their plants here as part of Governor Okorocha's industrialization policy..."

Responding on behalf of the investors, Dr. Ilfti Simsek said..."we are here to establish a production plant for motor engine components like spark plugs, crankshafts etc..."

He continued...
"...we are not buyers or distributors, we are manufactures...and accordingly, we shall send mechanics from Owerri to our country,so they can also learn in our factory at Turkey to expand their knowledge...I must say that your Governor loves you so much...it not easy for us to leave our country to be here...he made it possible."

To all those calling for a change in govt in Edo state, I doubt if you are an indigene or have lived in Edo state for quite a while.
My mother is from Irrua, Edo state; as a result, I grew up & lived in Benin for at least 12 years before moving to Lagos. Even after that, I have visited Benin, Ekpoma, Auchi on a number of occasions, up till 2013. I can say with all honesty that the tenure of Lucky Igbinedion, Osunbor combined can never be compared with that of Oshiomhole in terms of achievements, anyday anytime.
During Igbinedion/Osunbor's time, where were the good roads & infrastructure we see in Edo state now? Where were the light green coloured BRT like buses that operate intra-city & inter-city in Edo state now? Where was Airport road, Boundary road, Siluko/Ugbowo roads & others which have been reconstructed? Nowhere to be found. What about the 5 years outstanding pensions which was handed over to Oshiomhole by his predecessor which Oshiomhole has paid for alongside those arising during his tenureWhat was Lucky Igbinedion's excuse? He couldn't do anything worthwhile because of the security vote collected by the so-called godfathers.
Oshiomhole came in & put the godfathers to rest permanently & got to work.

By the way, our people from South South & South East decided to go with PDP simply because they claim the PDP state govt has been good to them all these years, despite the mishaps that had taken place at the federal level. Why would they now want Edo people to vote out an APC govt that has changed the fortunes of the state for good simply because the APC federal govt is not doing well? It beats my understanding. Let every individual state decide its future without interference from people who have no stake in the state.
Let me stop here.
Frankly speaking, anyone who has lived in Edo state upwards of 10 years & above & votes for PDP on Saturday must either be suffering from selective amnesia or was just bribed with money.
Let the Edo people who currently reside there make their choice on Saturday remembering that they will live with it for the next 4 years or more. I don't live there anymore neither do my close relations so people like us will just be observing & wishing them well.[/b]
