Forgiveness is divine though. If the girl can admit she did wrong, and is ready to pay all she owes, then forgiving her is right

Politics › Re: Otti Approves ₦‎250,000 Monthly Package For Abia Traditional Rulers by ejieddy: 12:03pm On Dec 21, 2024
If he doesn't give, you complain. Now that he gives, you complain. The people collecting are happy because they didn't receive anything before, but you want him to give them 1 billion every month before you appreciate a good gesture. It's not compulsory he gives them. The government can run without them but since they exist and prove that they have good contributions to make towards making government work easy, he's according them the respect they deserve. The Constitution of the Federal Republic recognizes three tiers of government and kings and traditional rulers are not part of it neither are there allocations for them. So calm down

Crime › Re: North-West Highest In Crime Incidents, South-East Lowest - Daniel Bwala (NBS) by ejieddy: 3:59pm On Dec 19, 2024
JASONjnr:
You can't compare kidnapping with cultism and manslaughtering.

The North is a safer place compared to the East.

I went to Borno for a presentation last week and it was calm and even safer.

Two years ago I travelled to cross river on the 26th December and our vehicle got stoped while approaching Rivers state from Imo state, these guys stopped us and kept us under their detention till 4pm before releasing us to continue with our journey. I won't go into details but it was God that made them to change their mind to release us.
Have you been to the east? Or you just wish the east was full of chaos so you could jump and jubilate. We that have been there this year, moving freely and will be there again in few weeks know that this report is very true. The south east is the safest region and the facts back it up now. Just accept it and don't make a fuss. Our hope and prayer is that all of Nigeria will be safe and peaceful.

CyrusVI:
cool

Now, we can boldly say theres light at the end of the Tunnel

We went from using 95% of our annual budget for debt servicing, to sparingly dumbing just less than 30% of our budget on debt servicing in just 18months of his reign

Now, we can spend 70% of our actual budget on its intended sector of the Economy

PBAT has a plan, and if you cant see it, then your mind eyes have been blind from birth

God bless Nigeria
Keep fooling yourself

Foreign Affairs › Re: Javier Milei Ends Budget Deficit In Argentina, First Time In 123 Years by ejieddy: 9:16pm On Dec 12, 2024
nairalanda1:
Millei slashed subsides on energy and other stuff when he took power. He also sacked hundreds of government workers, and stopped spending on projects....to save money.

You sure you want that.?

Workers in Argentina went on strikes and protests well well.

Good things do not come easy.
One thing stands out though... He wasn't dishonest nor corrupt. When people see that, they'll definitely adjust. Not when you're buying private jets and yacht for your family and want to slash subsidies.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Javier Milei Ends Budget Deficit In Argentina, First Time In 123 Years by ejieddy: 12:00pm On Dec 12, 2024
This is what leadership gives you. When you vote competent people and not because they belong to your tribe. Someone is still struggling with foreign exchange and subsidy while another has transformed his country in same time. When you don't lead by corruption and agberoism, you get results. God please help Nigeria get it right. Some people will still come here and tell me stupid propaganda achievements of this failed Tinubu administration.

Politics › Re: Hon. Ogah Flags Off ₦1.4 B Infrastructure Upgrade For Uturu Secondary School by ejieddy: 9:18am On Dec 09, 2024
Being from Isuikwuato, this is commendable. But how is this projects total cost N1.4bn? Four labs, a computer centre, an administrative building with solar power? How now? Why are we like this in Nigeria? I was recently asked to do a bill for a female hostel construction Ebonyi State and after submitting the initial BEME, i was told to add 20% for some people, another 1%, another 10%, another 7.5% for VAT. When i calculated all the percentages, it was a whooping 37.5%. I complained that the initial bill was more than enough for profit according to engineering standards and i could divide my profit by any percentage but it was flatly rejected. That is why i hate government jobs. If i am given, i will do it o, but i rarely go after it. I want to make profit but enough to have a clear conscience before God. I will share too, but let's be moderate abeg
Business › Re: Naira Gains Rapidly Against Dollar As Sellers Struggle To Find Buyers by ejieddy: 12:57pm On Dec 07, 2024
Now Sustain this over a three month period. If the naira appreciates to at least N1200 per $, and keeps at it for a year, Tinubu has my vote, irrespective of his profound, unrepentant bigotry. I just want to see Nigeria work.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Records ₦‎5.8 Trillion Trade Surplus In Q3 2024 As Export Earnings Surge by ejieddy: 8:49am On Dec 07, 2024
There definitely will be surplus since the naira has been devalued. You'll get the real figures and percentages if you were to measure in dollars.

Politics › Re: Major Tech Firms Pay ₦‎2.55 Trillion Taxes In Nigeria - NITDA by ejieddy: 1:11pm On Dec 04, 2024
SmartPolician:
I attended Zenith Bank's Hackathon and Bluechip Hackathon and drew one conclusion - technology is still a bubble in Nigeria. The brick-and-mortar traditional banks are the richest businesses in Nigeria. While Zenith Bank gave 25m to its winner, Bluechip gave 1.5m to its winner.

If Nigeria wants to cash in on tech the way America is doing now, the government must be intentional about devoting at least 10% of its budget to talent development, research and infrastructure development. A sizeable fraction of the taxes paid by tech companies should be reinvested in tech development.
Not a bad idea at all
Politics › Re: Tax Reform: APC, PDP Northern Senators Demand Suspension Of Action On Bills by ejieddy: 12:00pm On Dec 04, 2024
This bill must pass. When you passed the change of national anthem in 30 minutes, you didn't ask for wider consultation. Now that something will move the nation forward, you want to withdraw the bill. If Jagaban agree to this, then he is GEJ part 2
