When the above statement was made during one of the Radio Biafra broadcasts hosted by the director of Radio Biafra/TV and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, it seemed like a fairtale, am impossible statement that will never happen in this life time (at least not in the next half century). Little did we know that the leader of the indigenous People of Biafra was being prophetic with his statement/words.

In barely 2 years, the statement of the servant of Chukwu Okike Abiama is happening right before our own eyes. Just last week, the print, electronic and social media were agog with the pictures of starving children from the various Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Borno and Adamawa states. The pictures confirms that Internally Displaced Persons have been languishing from hunger and dying in droves while the Nigerian government headed by the heartless, blood thirsty and hawkish one called the African Hitler Muhammdu Buhari (AHMB) made the world to believe all along that the IDPs were being adequately taken good care of. Offcourse, that was what the government made people to believe until recently when the world discovered the truth.

For a government that only recently through the Borno state governor, Kashim shettima told the world in a keynote address he presented at the first dialogue on Rebuilding Peace in Borno State organized by AOB Global, a humanitarian advocacy group, that Internally Displaced Persons consume whopping 1,800 Bags of 50kg of Rice daily courtesy of the government, it was unbelievable that such calamity could be taking place under the watchful eyes of the AHMB’s government.
It will equally Interest you to note that the government had through the deputy governor of Borno state not long ago told the world that the government was spending N600m monthly to provide food for the IDPs in just 20 out of the state’s 27 local government areas.

The truism of the statement of Nnamdi Kanu came to a ‘’prophetic quip’’ when disturbing reports emerged out of the IDP camps of people especially children dying of malnutrition. One of such report had it that, at least, 30 children were dying from the phenomenon almost daily while there were about 1,233 graves of citizens who died of acute malnutrition out of which 480 were children discovered by Doctors without Border.

How the government of the AHMB which incidentally is illegally detaining the IPOB leader decided to make his statement so prophetic in barely just 2 years is what most event followers can’t even fathom. For a government that have vowed that she will never allow the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra which Nnamdi Kanu have prophesied as the ‘’last prophetic miracle’’ of the restoration train - to be consciously or unconsciously making the statements of Nnamdi Kanu a ‘’prophetic reality’’ in just about 14 months of its regime shows that the government will by its actions or inactions in no distant future bring the restoration of Biafra to fruition.

What is even more interesting to the truism of the prophetic statement of Nnamdi Kanu is that these dying children of the Mohammedian Emirates of the North and their parents were only recently rescued from Boko Haram captivity thus the question in every lip are:-

(1) Why would people who survived the onslaught of the dreaded Boko Haram sect for years showing resilience while in captivity be left to die under AHMB after regaining freedom?

(2) Why would those who were forced to live in Sambisa force for years die in a government established and administered camps in months?

(3) While would children live under the Boko Haram leader, Abubabakar Shekau but die under AHMB?
(4) Is it not obvious that Shekau was more humane in handling and treating the captives than the heartless African Hitler?

BUHARI’S HATRED FOR IGBO BIAFRANS.

That the blood thirty President of Nigeria popularly known as African Hitler Muhammadu Buhari (AHMB) hates Biafrans and will not hesitate to continue in his government planned and strategic killing and maiming of Biafrans is well known to all and sundry. However, what may not be known to all is that AHMB hatred for Biafrans did not start today. As far back as 1975 he (AHMB) had aided various efforts geared to deliberately stifle the resurgence of Biafrans into finding their feet in the country after the end of the Nigeria – Biafran war in 1970.

It may interest you to note that in 1975 that Buhari was a member of the Military Council of the regime of the government of Nigeria. The Military Council of that regime happens to be the highest decision making organ of the government. It’s on record that immediately the regime settled down for business of decision making and under the supervision of AHMB and his cohorts in the Council, that the Military Council ‘’dispatched to then East-Central state a mandatory Military Pro-consul in the person of now late Colonel Anthony Aboki Ochefu whose given assignment was the dismantling of the East-Central State Public Service.

To achieve this assigment, Colonel Anthony Aboki Ochefu had for good measure declared that the MAINFRAME COMPUTER of the Eastern Data Processing Center (which records confirms was the first of its kind in the African Continent, long before the IT current craze) was unnecessary madness, beyond the needs and the interest of the state in particular and ‘’Biafrans’’ in general.

That action so delighted AHMB that he personally supervised, in conjunction with the Military Pro-consul of the East Central State deliberate stripping, summarily dismantling and the relocation of the computer to Ahmadu Bello University in Zaira, Kaduna State where it found needful and sane home which only resulted its waste till date as it was not put to any use. A classic example of it is better that it is wasted in the north than to be useful to the AHMB hated Biafrans. The data computer and center was strategic to the economic and overall planning of developmental needs of the Biafrans after the bitter civil war.
Similar Scenario equally played out following the AHMB planned, led and executed coup of December 31st, 1983. Mind you that the coup was primarily carried out to thwart any possibility of Chief Alex Ekwueme the then Vice President who incidentally is from Buhari’s hated Biafra land from taking over at the end of Shehu Shagari’s regime.

The very first thing AHMB did was to appoint his own Military Pro-consul, in the person of Bridadier Ike Nwachukwu formerly known as Omar Sanders (a hawkish and a humbugic military officer who played active role in the massacre of his supposedly fellow Biafrans during the Nigeria – Biafra civil war). As expected by the Biafrans in the know, Ike Nwachukwu’s first declaration, under what he called ‘’Imo formula’’ was to dismantle the 42 industrial establishments (geared towards massive employment of Biafrans) embarked upon by Sam Mbakwe, which were at various stages of completion, and financial commitments settled.

Offcourse, Ike Nwachukwu’s ‘’major achievement’’ throughout his reign in the state was to consolidate the Imo State University under a single campus at Uturu, near his ‘’country home’’, from the 5-campus planned design which the government of Sam Mbakwe had envisioned after the model of the State of New York University System, evolved into a beautifully designed network of university campuses intended to stimulate strategic, short and the long run development of the state as well as carter for a wider range of students’ needs and skills.

Buhari in display of his hatred for Biafrans that have defiled all logic will have the Vice President, Alex Ekwueme (who is of Biafra Origin) of then democratically government that he over threw during his coup of December 31st, 1983 thrown into Kirikiri prison over frivolous corruption accusation while keeping the man at the helm of affairs of the government then President, Shehu Shagari who incidentally is a fellow northern with Buhari under house arrest.
Buhari in continuation of his hatred for Biafrans will go ahead to arrest and detain the leader of the defunct Biafran republic, Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu who has never been part of any Nigerian government of corruption charges. Sam Mbakwe who till date remains one of the finest leaders that the East has ever produced was equally not spared of AHMB hatred of Biafrans’ arrest and detention.

Between May 29th, 2015 till date during his second coming as the ruler of Nigeria, AHMB has personally supervised the killing of over 5,000 innocent Biafrans either through direct instructions to the Army to crush and eliminate the ‘’miscreants’’ order (the miscreants being armless protesting Biafrans) or through covertly or overtly operations via his Fulani herdsmen kinsmen.

Buhari who is complicit in the murder of over 2 million Biafrans from 1966 – 70 has also vowed to rather be drowned in same Rivers with Biafrans than to let them exit the country via a referendum. One is now left to ask: Why does AHMB want the continued stay of Biafrans that he has demonstrated enough hatred for through his actions and policies over the years in same Nigeria? Is it because he loves the shedding of Biafran bloods or because he loves to see them weep?

Is it not hypocritically that Buhari who hailed the out-going Prime Minister of Britain for his courage in listening to the wishes of his people who had voted to exit EU has not summoned same courage to listen to Biafrans and organize a referendum where Biafrans will have same opportunity that the Brits had to decide if they wish to stay in same country where characters like Buhari has supervised their killings and maiming or if they will want to exit the contraption called Nigeria.

No matter what happens, AHMB must know that his hatred, killings, maiming and threats of getting drown with Biafrans cannot stop the coming of the Biafra as her exit from Nigeria is sacrosanct.

While the world seems preoccupied by the independence of Britain from the EU, a less known but an easily ignored and important plea for independence is coming out of Western Africa. Nigeria has a population of roughly 180 million people with a balanced religious mix of roughly 49.3% Christian and 48.8% Muslim. Most of the Christians live in southern Nigeria, a land previously controlled for over thousands of years by a people living in a land known as Biafra. Biafrans were a proud people. They were mostly Christian and a bastion of free-enterprise in Western Africa. With the formation of Nigeria in the breakup of Great Britain’s empire, Biafra lost its independence when it was unilaterally combined with the Muslim dominated north.

Today, the drive for a Muslim caliphate in Africa remains focused on three primary African states, South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria, where large populations of Christians remain. The all-out effort to destabilize the Christian power base has been carried out by Al-Shabaab in Kenya and Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria.

Boko Haram, an extremist Sunni Islamic fundamentalist sect strongly influenced by the Wahhabi movement, is committed to establish Nigeria as an Islamic State under Sharia Law. Their impact is strongest in the North. Seeking more grazing land for their herds, Fulani militants, linked to Boko Haram, have killed at least 20,000 people since 2009. The Fulani herdsmen have been moving south to areas dominated by Christians and non-religious farmers. They are well armed, and their coordinated attacks are increasing.

The atrocities against moderate Muslims and Christians are well documented but not widely covered in the Western press. Recently, angry Muslims youths in Kano decapitated a woman plastics trader alleging that she blasphemed the Prophet Muhammad. When the shop owner refused to allow a young man to wash his legs for the usual Muslim’s prayers in her shop because other customers were there, the young man shouted Allahu Akbar and lied to his friends that the owner had blasphemed. They dragged her away, beheaded her carried her head through the market and town center.


Many feel that now is the time for Biafra independence. The Biafran “George Washington,” Nnamdi Kanu, remains in jail on trumped up charges. Judges have refused to officially charge him. But fearing his leadership, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has kept him under lock and key. His sustained incarceration has just fueled the flames for independence. The number of supporters of freedom for Biafra has quadrupled since Kanu’s imprisonment.  

Recently, Niger Delta Avengers blew up vital Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation oil pipelines. A new militant group, Red Egbesu Water Lions, has joined them in demanding that Nnamdi Kanu be released. Unless the Buhari government releases Kanu and moves toward a referendum on independence for Biafra, militants promise to shut down oil and gas production in the region.

In the past, Shell and British Petroleum have formed lucrative agreements with the Northern Muslim politicians to control 80% of the Nigerian oil, primarily from wells in the south. Not only are resources from Biafra being sold and profits diverted, the lack of environmental controls have resulted in pollution—hurting farming and fishing in the south.

Freedom isn’t free, but nowhere in Africa is freedom more important than in Biafra. But what are the Western powers doing? Unfortunately, very little. Britain has called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu but said little about the freedom referendum he supports. While covering the atrocities of Boko Haram in the North, there is little or no coverage of the Islamic terrorists brutalizing the Biafran Christians in the South.

This is about more than stopping Islamic extremism in Nigeria. Supporting the freedom of Biafra establishes a beachhead for Christian capitalism in Africa that puts a stop to a vision of a united Muslim caliphate in all of Africa.

America received support from France in breaking free of England. The Southeast Based Coalition of Human Rights Organizations (SBCHROs) comprising: International Society for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law (Intersociety), Anambra State Branch of the Civil Liberties Organization (CLO), Center for Human Rights & Peace Advocacy (CHRPA), Human Rights Club (a project of LRRDC)(HRC), Forum for Justice, Equity & Defense of Human Rights (FJEDHR), Society Advocacy Watch Project (SPAW), Anambra Human Rights Forum (AHRF), Southeast Good Governance Forum (SGGF), International Solidarity for Peace & Human Rights Initiative (ITERSOLIDARITY) and Igbo Ekunie Initiative (pan Igbo rights advocacy group) have reviewed ravaging socio-political events in Nigeria, particularly the Federal Government’s continuing violent approaches to the issue of pro Biafra agitations and sustained threats from the Southeast deadly politicians. On the sovereignty status of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under which the Buhari administration has hidden to unleash widespread State violent attacks and jungle justice against the Pro Biafra agitators and their leadership particularly the IPOB; we wish to align ourselves totally with the advocacy position taken by the intersociety, which seminally informs that rigidified sovereignty or sovereignty of compulsion is long outdated and out-fashioned; and has been replaced by negotiable sovereignty or sovereignty as a responsibility or citizen-sovereignty.

The Buhari administration of the old brigade, is therefore, urged to come to terms with this modern reality and turn off its age-long hegemonic and autocratic governing style. Nigeria can never be one and peaceful country whereby out of over 48 top federal public office and non ministerial appointments made so far by the Buhari’s Presidency; over 38 are given to northern Muslims, with only six given to the Southwest and four to South-south and zero to the Southeast; and whereby out of the country’s 17 public securitization headships, 13 are given to the northern Muslims, while only four (two of them made by former President Goodluck Jonathan), are given to the Southwest and the South-south, with the Southeast getting nothing. This sort of “Fulani Jihadist conquest of Hausaland and its jihadist rulership of its people till date” must not be allowed to rear its ugly heads in the politics of the entire Federation of Nigeria.

Apart from the Buhari administration’s widespread violent attacks directed against the nonviolent and unarmed Pro Biafra Agitation bodies particularly the IPOB; the Southeast deadly politicians have gone on rampage against the IPOB and its leadership. Fearing the deepening possibility of going into irrelevance politically and socially; or losing political space and opportunities to loot and plunder as well as losing the opportunities to continue their enslavement of the people of their zone on account of the rising popularity of the IPOB and its thematic message in the Southeast and the South-south zones; these deadly politicians and their foot-soldiers on social media networks have colluded and are still colluding with the Buhari administration leading to massacre of over 200 innocent Pro Biafra agitators and terminal injuries inflicted on over 300 others. Most of the dead and terminally shot victims are members of the IPOB and their supporters.

Apart from participating in the mindless massacres and attempted murders above mentioned, the referenced deadly politicians have further gone on rampage, raising false alarms and creating false enmities between the Pro Biafra Agitators, led by IPOB and some elder-statesmen and respected politicians of the Southeast extraction, particularly those who have spoken out against Federal Government’s widespread violent attacks against Pro Biafra agitators as well as those that opted for dialogue and refused to lend their voices in support of the Buhari administration’s violent approaches and attacks under reference.

For instance, the ongoing political persecution of the Senate Deputy President, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu, is substantially, if not totally traced to his several condemnations of the killing of innocent and unarmed citizens of the Southeast extraction by the Government of Gen Muhammadu Buhari and its proxy Fulani supporter of APC. Just the other day, attempts were made by the same deadly politicians to create enmity between the IPOB, its leader (Mazi Nnamdi Kanu-POC) and former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi on one hand and between Peter Obi and former Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, on the other hand. The deadly politicians had falsely claimed that “Peter Obi had at an occasion in honour of an Igbo ministerial appointee in Enugu, openly spoke and launched vitriolic attacks against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB and that it took him to stop only when Dr. Alex Ekwueme intervened and rebuked him”.

The story was investigated and it completely turned out to be false and deadly plotted. As a matter of fact, neither Peter Obi nor Dr. Alex Ekwueme spoke publicly at the event, not to talk of digressing from the event issue to talk in condemnation of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB. To put the records straight, the duo of Alex Ekwueme and Peter Obi had played and are still playing several mediatory, stabilizing and fatherly roles between the IPOB and the Federal Government and had also publicly made several calls for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally. They had also differently called on the Federal Government to dialogue with IPOB and its leadership. One of such open calls was made recently in Enugu during a pro Igbo event, organized by Chief Eliot Uko’s Igbo Youth Movement (IYM) at which the duo of Ekwueme and Obi were in attendance.

As if these were not enough, the deadly politicians last night of July 3, 2016 instructed their social media agents to concoct another falsehood to the effect that “Peter Obi was after the life of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”; painting same as if it was solely authored or said by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (POC) himself. We have since made contacts and found the story nakedly false.

We therefore condemn the abominable roles of the deadly politicians above mentioned. We are aware that a lot of blood money has been couriered and is still being couriered from the Aso Rock for the purpose of sustaining the annihilation policy against the IPOB and its sister Pro Biafra Agitating groups. Among those already benefiting from such blood money are deadly politicians in the corridors of power and those outside corridors of power in the Southeast and leprous leaderships of market bodies, community associations, churches and “rights” CSOs in the Southeast zone and beyond its shores. Also, among the IPOB ranks, moles have been procured by the Federal Government, planted and oiled with the blood money till date.

In all these, the leadership of IPOB deserves resounding commendation for refusing to be pushed to the wall or forced to abandon its nonviolence avowal. We urge the group not to be deterred or resort to violent and other clandestine approaches not minding the sustained violent attacks and other threats from the Buhari administration and deadly politicians of the Southeast extraction. The IPOB must also refuse to be distracted or create or accept false enmity where none exists. It is the conscientious duty of Politicians of the Southeast to see the other side of Pro Biafra agitation (i.e. age-long structural violence and ceaseless State and its proxy group killing of Igbo citizens, etc) and take them up with the Buhari administration as part of solution to the raging social discontents. This is a sacred duty expected of them and not the other way round.

The leadership of IPOB must be told in clear terms that our advocacy support to it ceases instantly any moment it is credibly found and established that it has abandoned its nonviolence and civilized approaches. We also urge our politicians to play by the rules and desist from guerrilla politicking. A popular and grounded politician does not have time for deadly politics as he or she ought to be occupied at all times with how best to serve his or her people if elected. We urge deadly politicians of the Southeast to have a rethink in good time and borrow a leaf from the above mentioned.

We specially thank those who have risen in strong condemnation of various regime atrocities against Pro Biafra Agitation led by the IPOB and its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Our particular commendation goes to the duo of a respected Lagos human rights lawyer, Barr Ebun Adegboruwa and Ekiti State fiery Executive Governor, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose.

We urge the entire people of the Southeast and the South-south zones to keep in their minds at all times the present courageous steps of these two distinguished personalities and detribalized Nigerians ahead of imminent political re-alignments, cross-breeding and cross-fertilizations, as late Dr. Kingsley Ozumba (K.O.) Mbadiwe once said “when the come comes to the come, we become”.
