Passive income is an income which you created and worked for just once and it keeps bringing in money without any extra sweat from you again. But active income is an income which you keep working for always or every day to make it bring in money for you. If you stop working, this type of income stops. Examples of passive incomes are incomes from rental property like house, shops, other materials, and intellectual property like books or publications e.t.c.Examples of active incomes are salaries, wages e.t.c. |

After his NYSC service, a guy called Mathew Jacob came to me in Lagos from Abuja to learn how to make laundry soap. He said he had seen our blog site and our name on google trader. After the training, i was curious and asked him why he had chosen to venture in to soap making business when his mates were busy looking for elusive white collar jobs.Guess his response? "I believe i can help myself" was all he told me.Then the saying that "heaven helps those who help themselves" came to my mind. His number is 07038465856. “ONLY THOSE WITH THE LION HEART GET THE LION SHARE; ONLY THE RISK TAKERS BECOME RICH; ONLY THE BOLD GET THE GOLD; ONLY THE ADVENTUROUS ADVANCE IN LIFE; ONLY THE BRAVE BECOME GREAT, SUCCESSFUL AND WEALTHY.”ANON www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |
Lots of business opportunities out there, but majority of us are searching for get-rich-quick schemes. Many people have refused to open their eyes and ears to opportunities and this is the main reason they are scammed often.Someone says the word POOR means "Passing Over Opportunites Repeatedly." I believe there are thousands of investment plans for everybody, even here in Nigeria. Common, shine your eyes. www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |
As at today, a bag of garri ijebu (sour and fine quality) at my customers shop in somolu, Lagos sells for six thousand, two hundred Naira. Other sellers of the same quality are selling at six thousand, and five hundred Naira. A 4 Litre paint plastic full of the same garri sells for three hundred and fifty Naira. Factors leading to the increase in the price of garri? I think the major source of garri i.e. cassava is now hugely processed into other derivatives like chips, Tapioca, pellets, flour, starch e.t.c that are now being demanded in large quantities with mouth-watering prices from various parts of the world. You check the international market price to confirm. Solution to lowering the price of garri? Most of us should start mass production of cassava tubers, not on the internet, but at our various backyards. Hmmmmm!!! i perceive business opportunity for all of us here. What are you still waiting for? www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |

Hello miss naija, lots of businesses you can do with that kind of money. But we need to ask you a few questions. Have you ever been engaged in a business before now? Have you been involved in the marketing of any product or service ? What product or service ? For how long? What are your areas of interests? These posers are necessary for us to know what suggestions to offer. One thing is clear from your question ; you would be expecting minimum of 15% profit every month. Business, however, is a game of risks and new ventures, generally, have gestation or maturity time frame. Many nairlanders have asked similar question in the recent past.In fact, the pages of the business/Money section of the naira land forum are always replete with this kind of question. I believe there are numerous businesses that one can engage in. But they all require patience, determination, perseverance, integrity, hardwork, some luck, spirit of stick-ability (i.e never quitting in time of challenges) e.t.c. Have you thought of or looked at items or materials of every day use? Have you heard of or come across Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs? Please check them up. www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |

Of course Garri has more followers or fans than indomie. In terms of age, garri is as old as Metusellah, while Indomie is a kiddy, just sucking mummy's breast.Garri has numerous , almost uncountable uses and ways of demolishing it, how many ways can you eat Indomie? NO WONDER garri controls the market demand much more than Indomie which relies on heavy doses of advertisement for it to capture some sections of the society.Up Garri!!! the chairman of the African food basket. www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |

Friend, what excuse do you have for not being your own boss? Lack of capital? Not knowing what venture to go into? Fear of failure? Being satisfied with your current JOB (i.e slavery ,sorry salary)? Indecision or procrastination of when to start? Fear of NAFDAC? Fear of the UNKNOWN? Dangote says "Nature has made things in such a way that anywhere you go, there are always needs. The reason is that human needs are insatiable.....You discover them when you walk on the streets and brush past people." Those things you demand and buy every now and then are still commanding daily demands. They are people's NEEDS. Decide and take a wise step today.Definitely 'Rome was not built in a day.'You will get there. See you at the top. www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |
Thanks for the information fahren & ade101, i had made the request above because the first time i learnt about Jatropha was when i attended a seminar on bio-diesel production sometime in 2010.The resource men used our normal vegetable oil for the production and tested the outcome in our presence. Men, i was amazed and desired to go into production and start selling immediately. But the high cost of the vegetable oil has been the only clog in the wheel of my commencement. So Jatropha was introduced as the way out.Since then i have been researching jatropha plant. Do you know there is Jatropha plant in most villages in Nigeria? My research took me to a village where Jatropha seeds were being kicked around by small children and thrown away anyhow. The villagers even used the plant to decorate their homes. They know NOTHING about BIO-DIESEL OR the economic potency of this powerful plant. Can you now see the reason for my request above? www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |
@ fahren: If financial freedom with ease is what you desire then the investment plan is the Green Gold (Jatropha Curcas) a source of renewable energy which is currently used for bio diesel which fuel standard diesel engines of cars, plants and even air planes. Jatropha farm has a life span of up to 40 years, 1 hecter of jatropha farm produces fruit of 1.5 ton in the first year, 3.5 ton in the second year and 5 ton in the fifth year. 1 kg of jatropha is sold in nigeria for 80 naira, 80 x 1.5 ton gives you 120,000 naira in the first year, 280,000 and 400,000 naira in the 2nd and 5th year respectively. If the above calculation is based on 10 hecteres, it will yield 1,200,000, 2,800,000 in the 1st, 2nd year respectively and 4,000,000 till 40 years. Jatropha is a rugged plant, it can survive up to 3 years of no rainfall and needs little or no pesticide application as it serves as pesticides. Information they say is what separates the rich from the poor, here is a piece. For more info, call disc energy on 08020778050, or email us disc.energy@yahoo.comKindly give an example of a place in Nigeria, say a place in Lagos or anywhere in the south-west where jatropha oil is being extracted.I believe it is not enough to plant and harvest Jatropha seed, you need to know the kind of machine that can crush and extract the oil from Jatropha plant. It is true Jatropha plant is good for Bio-diesel. It is the cheapest oil that can be used to produce diesel.Kindly help. |
Quality soap will always sell itself if the producer knows his onions. QUALITY soap, either laundry, bathing, medicated, herbal, liquid, powdered detergent e.t.c will not itch the hand or body of the users, will foam very well, will NOT dissolve quickly, will not develop flakes few days after being produced, will have attractive scent, will meet NAFDAC standard , and will command repeated demand from the final users. How about marketing your product? Will you just jump into production without having adequate plans about the whole business? Will you not first find out , at least in your area, the type of soap consumers demand and buy? Will you not determine the marketing strategies you will adopt in launching out? Will you desire to start a business and still grope in the dark like a blind person before starting ? DUE DILIGENCE IS VERY, VERY,VERY ESSENTIAL. www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |
@ Richardid, YES, YOU CAN START NYLON PROCESSING INTO BAGS WITH 100,000 NAIRA OR LESS. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE BASIC ITEMS YOU NEED AND THE KNOW-HOW. YOU DO NOT NEED TO IMPORT ANY MACHINE TO START AT THE SMALL-SCALE LEVEL. VISIT www.entrepreneurialjunction..com “THE SECRET OF SUCCESS IS GETTING STARTED”—HENRY FORD |
Beautiful and pungent write-up.You said it all.Thank you www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |
@sample042, Thanks for starting a topic that would benefit many people.I believe that to build up strong entrepreneurship foundation/skills, you need first to believe in yourself. You need to believe that God has truly deposited in you great talents that could be tapped to take you to any height you desire in life. Secondly, you need to learn from those who have trodden the path you now aspire to tread. You should be ready to learn these entrepreneurship skills. These skills include those of perseverance (i.e stick-to-it skills),financing skills, research skills, production skills, marketing and selling skills, communication skills and a host of others.Unfortunately, few of these skills are taught in our schools today. So, even after graduating from the university, you need to empower yourself by reading wide, reading entrepreneurship materials, attending free and paid business seminars, listening to motivational or inspirational tapes, searching for places where these skills are being imparted, joining forums like nairaland and a host of others where you freely pick up ideas like those being discussed now. In addition, you need to put into practice ideas you have gathered along the way and to pray to God. You NEED NOT look for any get-rich schemes. You need to be careful so that negative environment and negative people around you do not influence you negatively. Developing entrepreneurship skills is not a day's job. It is an on-going process.Even the Dangotes and Bill Gates of this world are still learning. We all keep learning till death do us part. GOODLUCK. www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |

The GSM voucher business is attractive to everyone interested in making steady cool of income. Why is this business line enticing? 1.DURABILITY : This is a business line whose products i.e the voucher and cards are durable. They do not expire for a long time. However , you need to take proper care so that your raw pin numbers are not exposed to people around you who could use the numbers before you go to print. 2. RELIABILITY: This business line is reliable, if you are not in a rush to get rich quickly. This business requires patience and focus for you to make good returns. The truth is , this line of business is volume-driven. This means, like in petroleum marketing, the more money you invest and sell , the more profit you get. This also means that your total profit volume is dependent on your marketing skills and strategy. Read the remaining part of this write-up at www.entrepreneurialjunction..com |
